Hello fellow nerds,
I'm a proud new owner of a second hand Kamado Joe Smoker/Grill and I see that companies have produced temperature controllers for these things that consist of a control unit some braided metal temp probes (one for pit temp and up to three for meat temps) and a tiny 12v blower fan that attaches to the bottom intake vent of the smoker. When the temperature is getting too low it brings on the fan (slowly for small temp variations up to full blast for larger) to keep the temp steady for a long low and slow cook that you dont have to watch all the time and manually adjust vents all night. The particular device I am referring to is the Flame Boss 500 that goes for $350. I thought hmm.. maybe something similar could be done through my ISY. Any thoughts?
Thanks
