  1. how about getting the stupid blinking green led to stop with detection? I have went in and disable the led in options, and reduced the led brightness to 0%, but it just keeps blinking. I am contemplating opening the damn thing up and removing the diode.
  2. I just added mine, and got it functioning fine. The number of times you have to press the set button is short one in the insteon instructions. Hold once to enter linking, then you will have to press three times to return it to ready state. I have installed these in clients houses, and it's a stupid undocumented issues. After you press a second time it flashes faster, and a third is stops flashing....but, it will not react, or trigger properly until another set press. You can involve it in scene building as a controller at this point, and you will not need to put it in linking mode unless you want to edit it's built in settings, i.e.: no led, timeout.
  3. So the "10110" icon in the tree, is an indication that the device is in linking mode? the link mode times out after a few minutes, and provided an audible beep, this icon and condition persisted well past that.
  4. okay, the icon for the remote in the isy tree was "10110" and now it's a normal insteon icon, and no longer is being constantly written to. WTF?
  5. I think the remote may still have been in linking mode...I disabled in ISY, and re-enabled, and it seems to have remedied my workload strain. Please reply if you have any suggestions, experience, or things to ensure. Thanks in advance! nope, once I enabled it, it is still acting up.
  6. I am sure someone will ask for some sort of log to help with this, but I will post my problem first. I added a 2342-232 mini 4 scene remote today. it added fine, and it works fine. But, I then added some other devices, and was wondering why it was now taking 30 seconds as they system updated, for any and all changes. I happened to scroll up as one of these were happening, and noticed the mini remote being involved in the write. So now, any and all changes cause a write to the remote. So, I have not pulled it into of the other scenes I was writing, and this even occurred when I was doing a name change, or a level change on a device in an existing scene. I am sure I could delete it, and re-add once I was all done to expedite things, but WTF? Any experience with this?
