  1. I just began my long slow cutover to Lutron Caseta. It's like a bad joke. Basically a 90% loss in functionality. I can imagine the focus group that designed the software. A cross between Bleak House and Franz Kafka. Somebody should take this entire industry and throw it off a cliff.
  2. That sounds more promising. Unsurprisingly at the Lutron website I get this: "Your search for ClearConnect-X did not return any results." I hope they have not embraced SmartLabs' marketing strategy.
  3. Well that doesn't meet the most generous definition of a "mesh" network. At least they have an assortment of "repeaters". RR-AUX-REP-WH, L-REPPRO-BL
  4. If it's a "mesh" system doesn't that mean the 75 feet applies to the maximum distance to the nearest node? I would think that a large house with a large number of devices would experience excellent coverage unless the mesh protocol sucks.
  5. This is not a good analogy. Insteon devices have a ultra-high failure rate, many (most) are no longer available. In my case I MUST switch to another solution. Soon enough the presence of Insteon devices in a home will be considered a "defect" that must be disclosed to the buyer.
  6. I'm so over Insteon and Dumblabs I just want to replace it all. I am not sure there is anyone in the market that can be trusted with the exception of Lutron. Can an ISY control a fleet of Lutron devices? Is there a platform comparable to ISY that can make a house full of Lutron devices perform tricks comparable to an ISY + a fleet of Insteon devices? I think 2022 is the year I visit every jbox in my house and replace everything in order to recover from my huge mistake in betting on Insteon. But I would like to get it right this time.
