jukeman started following UD MOBILE getting error 404? and OAuth error showing devices
-
my apologies, but I don't see in that thread where anything was fixed? It appears that granting the access, and entering the local credentials didn't make a difference? Am I mistaken? Did something change in the UD Mobile app or at the server end that is requiring changes be made to credentials in the app, to allow connectivity. By the way, I am on Android. It has been working perfectly for years, with the exception when there were server issues about 4-5 months ago at the Portal level. Thank you again

For the past 24 hours, I have been receiving an Error 404 when UD mobile tries to connect to the portal. Are others having this issue? Is there an issue with the server(s)? Thanks for any update.

Thank you for the fast reply! Much appreciated.

Well, it is with great shame that I state, all of my research never led me to the post indicating that the Polyglot Cloud has been shut down due to security risks, and that the ultimate solution will be a total re-design of the Polyglot cloud service. So, Forgive me for posting on something that's already dead. If someone has another solution for me to add weather to my ISY994i, remembering that I'm not a developer, just a user, that would be appreciated.

I've had Openweather connected to my ISY through the portal Ployglot account for a long time. However, lately I've noticed that I do NOT have weather information, so I logged into my ployglot cloug account. I just get the spinning wheel forever. period. It never finds my ISY. Is there something that I'm missing? I have no weather data, and I cannot see my ISY, nor my connection to OpenWeather on the Polyglot dashboard. Only the spinning wheel... Thanks for any guidance..

Wow, That was easy enough! Thank you Larryllix! Your assistance is much appreciated.

Friends, I am on an ISY994, Version 5.3.0 and some (most) of my programs where I am taking action on a TIME, are not displaying the hour minute and seconds in the program display screen. Please see the attached photo. It's not a big problem, I can still do the programming that I wish to do, but it's inconvenient. Maybe I have a java display setting or memory setting issue that I'm not aware of? Any guidance is appreciated. Have a nice day and Happy New Year all.

@BUMBERSHOOT: Thanks so much for the reply, and the comments not to worry about the logfile growing at a large rate. Do you periodically dump the logfile, just in an effort to keep it manageable? Also, will the ISY decide the send fewer events to the logfile IF it grows to some gigantic size?? Thanks for answering my constant questions.

@BPWWER: Thank you for the guidance; and I already had the logging level set to critical for a while, then to OFF. I'm not sure that I implemented the change correctly? First, I selected Critical in the drop down, THEN I clicked LOGGING LEVEL, thinking that executed my wish from the drop down? @MR. BILL: Yes, It is the ISY log file, Tools> Logfile that is growing like wild. I NOW understand that every time the node server communicates to the ISY, a notable amount of information is placed in the ISY LOGFILE. That would explain, that no matter what logging level I select on the ISY screen above, including OFF, I still get a notable amount of information in the logfile from the NODE SERVER. Given your experience, do you have a recommended interval that I should set from the NODE server for updates? Any feedback and recommendation is sincerely appreciated. Good day all!

Although I am fairly experienced with my ISY and making it do what I want, I am not able to figure out why my openweathermap integration is blasting SO MUCH INFORMATION into my log file? I just don't really know how to ask it to stop logging anything, or only log critical events? Can anyone tell me what the following buttons do: RE-DISCOVER, REMOVE NOTICES and UPDATE PROFILE? Additionally, no matter what I choose in the pull down for logging level, then click the LOGGING LEVEL button, my logfile still gets blasted with tons of information. It's not really a problem, I would just rather the logfile not grow so fast. Any guidance is welcome and thank you for the great support! I could not manage without my ISY.

Thank you for the education! Have a great holiday.

Team: I have a basic question about adding devices for coverage. I have a 2474D (the 2-wire installed dimmer switch-RF only) which is not terribly reliable, as there may not be a DUAL BAND device near enough to it. My question is: If I choose to plug in a Dual Band dimmer module near it, but not plug a lamp into the module, which I think will enable better communication with my installed 2-wire switch, do I need to add the unused device to my ISY? Even though there is not a lamp plugged into it - It's only there to provide dual band connectivity to my 2-wire dimmer. I know it's a basic question, and I've been using my ISY for a while now, I'm just not so sure how the devices map themselves, and if the powerline modem needs to have the "unused" device (in this case a 2457D2 dimmer module) in a map or table somewhere, to allow the 2-wire dimmer to use it as a node for better communication. Thanks for any detail - Alex

I am newer to the Insteon and ISY products. I am replacing all of my X-10 devices over time (my entire home, maybe 50 devices). My question is: When I ADD an Insteon Dual Band Device, near an EXISTING Insteon device, does the existing device know automatically that a new Dual Band device is closer to it? Thus the existing device may have more reliable communication? Or do I have to do something on my ISY to ask my Insteon devices to "REFRESH" their network/device associations? Thanks for any feedback or information on this. I'm really very happy with my insteon implementations, I have a couple of 2-wire switch dimmers that I fight with sometimes, but not too bad.
