  1. That's a good thought, and I surely cannot dispute your statement, but TWO devices of the same device type, within 3-feet of the PLM, and no other devices are acting wonky? I can accept your explanation and will keep an eye open for future oddities. Additionally, I'm happy to learn that the link table is re-written to the PLM upon a restore. It's always nice to learn more deep detail about the eisy and it's use. Although I've had my ISY and now an eISY in place since March 2018, I still consider myself a novice user - Once devices are added and programs are set up; I generally perform a backup and just let it roll till the next change. Thank you!
  2. This is an FYI for the team: I just purchased an Insteon 2477S (on/off switch) brand new (version 8.4 3324), and manually set it up in my eisy. After setup, it worked, however the STATUS on the eisy would NOT change when it was manually switched on or off. I tried a second new 2477S, and received the same results. After a bit of reading, and some trial and error, I found that if I "Restore" the device, the status updates perfectly when the switch is manually activated. This is a strange phenomenon, and it is my first two 2477S devices that I have ever used. Maybe I'm all wrong, but I surely did not expect this to happen when manually adding the on/off switch. As another check, I manually linked an On/Off Module 2635 with no issues at all.
  3. Although I'm not really a novice using the eisy and developing routines that I want, This is the first time I've used a "Service". I have it installed the product, and love it. I want to purchase the "Standard version" ($15 one time charge) - as I'll want more than 8 notifications daily. I was using AT&T TEXT, which is now gone. The notification service works perfectly for me as a substitute for email to text on AT&T. If you can provide the instructions to pay for the standard version, I would surely appreciate it.
  4. Hello friends, I have a non-critical question, but something that is nagging at me.. (I THINK) Before I updated my eisy to the latest version, in my router I found the IP address and a hostname of "EISY". Now, I see the MAC address and IP address, but there is NO hostname listed. Am I wrong that the previous version included a hostname, and the new release does not? Any clarity would be appreciated, and if there is an EASY way to enter a hostname, that would be nice. My device is connected with a network cable, directly connected to my router; and I have a dedicated DHCP address assigned to the device. It is perfection for me in general, but this one little thing is bugging me. Thanks in advance for any replies...
  5. my apologies, but I don't see in that thread where anything was fixed? It appears that granting the access, and entering the local credentials didn't make a difference? Am I mistaken? Did something change in the UD Mobile app or at the server end that is requiring changes be made to credentials in the app, to allow connectivity. By the way, I am on Android. It has been working perfectly for years, with the exception when there were server issues about 4-5 months ago at the Portal level. Thank you again
  6. For the past 24 hours, I have been receiving an Error 404 when UD mobile tries to connect to the portal. Are others having this issue? Is there an issue with the server(s)? Thanks for any update.
  7. Thank you for the fast reply! Much appreciated.
  8. Well, it is with great shame that I state, all of my research never led me to the post indicating that the Polyglot Cloud has been shut down due to security risks, and that the ultimate solution will be a total re-design of the Polyglot cloud service. So, Forgive me for posting on something that's already dead. If someone has another solution for me to add weather to my ISY994i, remembering that I'm not a developer, just a user, that would be appreciated.
  9. I've had Openweather connected to my ISY through the portal Ployglot account for a long time. However, lately I've noticed that I do NOT have weather information, so I logged into my ployglot cloug account. I just get the spinning wheel forever. period. It never finds my ISY. Is there something that I'm missing? I have no weather data, and I cannot see my ISY, nor my connection to OpenWeather on the Polyglot dashboard. Only the spinning wheel... Thanks for any guidance..
  10. Wow, That was easy enough! Thank you Larryllix! Your assistance is much appreciated.
  11. Friends, I am on an ISY994, Version 5.3.0 and some (most) of my programs where I am taking action on a TIME, are not displaying the hour minute and seconds in the program display screen. Please see the attached photo. It's not a big problem, I can still do the programming that I wish to do, but it's inconvenient. Maybe I have a java display setting or memory setting issue that I'm not aware of? Any guidance is appreciated. Have a nice day and Happy New Year all.
  12. Excellent and Thanks all for the details! This forum, and your guidance, is most welcome and valuable. Happy New Year all!
  13. @BUMBERSHOOT: Thanks so much for the reply, and the comments not to worry about the logfile growing at a large rate. Do you periodically dump the logfile, just in an effort to keep it manageable? Also, will the ISY decide the send fewer events to the logfile IF it grows to some gigantic size?? Thanks for answering my constant questions.
  14. @BPWWER: Thank you for the guidance; and I already had the logging level set to critical for a while, then to OFF. I'm not sure that I implemented the change correctly? First, I selected Critical in the drop down, THEN I clicked LOGGING LEVEL, thinking that executed my wish from the drop down? @MR. BILL: Yes, It is the ISY log file, Tools> Logfile that is growing like wild. I NOW understand that every time the node server communicates to the ISY, a notable amount of information is placed in the ISY LOGFILE. That would explain, that no matter what logging level I select on the ISY screen above, including OFF, I still get a notable amount of information in the logfile from the NODE SERVER. Given your experience, do you have a recommended interval that I should set from the NODE server for updates? Any feedback and recommendation is sincerely appreciated. Good day all!
  15. Although I am fairly experienced with my ISY and making it do what I want, I am not able to figure out why my openweathermap integration is blasting SO MUCH INFORMATION into my log file? I just don't really know how to ask it to stop logging anything, or only log critical events? Can anyone tell me what the following buttons do: RE-DISCOVER, REMOVE NOTICES and UPDATE PROFILE? Additionally, no matter what I choose in the pull down for logging level, then click the LOGGING LEVEL button, my logfile still gets blasted with tons of information. It's not really a problem, I would just rather the logfile not grow so fast. Any guidance is welcome and thank you for the great support! I could not manage without my ISY.
