  1. Thank you for your response. I am not all that sure I did a factory reset as all devices and programming were still seen in iox. The password returning to default was the only apparent result. The system is now working perfectly since its mysterious "recovery" this morning. Should any further strangeness occur I will separate the eisy and PLM to its own corner. I will do the upgrade as you suggest.
  2. My 2 month old eisy 5.7.1 system has been working flawlessly since the conversion from a I994 2 months ago. It sits directly next to my router which was an Asus and now is a TP-Link Deco X75E. After the router change the behavior of the eisy was erratic, Z Matter Dongle was not responding and some, not all insteon devices were not working. For the sake of brevity, I will not list all the odd behavior. A restart did not help. Unplugging Zmatter did not help but a eisy power disconnect/connect brought back the Zmatter module. Same Insteon devices were still not working. I decided to do a factory reset and after a few attempts was puzzled to see my program and devices still in iox when I logged on. The password was reset to default. Is this correct? Should it not be an empty shell until I restore the backup? There is a lot more I could add here but while the system did not start to work properly immediately after a restore, it did start work properly after another couple of attempts at factory reset both from off and on modes of the eisy. However, these resets never seemed to occur as password did not revert to default. I am relieved to have a perfectly working system once again but have no understanding what happened. Is there a long delay after a restore for it take effect? I enjoy puzzles but this one is beyond me.
  3. Hi, Trying to add Mini-Remote version 1.8 1647 to my ISY994i Pro Version 4.6.2 and receiving the error "cannot determine insteon engine". Here is the log dump for the process: Wed 10/25/2017 07:22:10 AM : [ Time] 07:22:12 1(0) Wed 10/25/2017 07:28:37 AM : [44 8B D7 ] Added to list of devices to link to ISY Wed 10/25/2017 07:28:37 AM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 44 8B D7 0F 0D 00 Wed 10/25/2017 07:28:44 AM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 44 8B D7 0F 0D 00 Wed 10/25/2017 07:28:52 AM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 44 8B D7 0F 0D 00 Wed 10/25/2017 07:28:55 AM : [44 8B D7 0 ] Failed to add device, reason 3 Wed 10/25/2017 07:28:55 AM : [All ] Writing 0 bytes to devices Wed 10/25/2017 07:32:10 AM : [ Time] 07:32:12 1(0) I did get it to add once but it kept losing connection to the ISY so I deleted it and now get this error consistently. Have reset the mini but no change. Thanks in advance for help. Howard ISY-Events-Log.v4.6.2__Wed 2017.10.25 07.29.07 AM.txt
  4. WD, I just installed the wdISY app on both my ASUS Transformer tablet and Google Nexus S phone and it works perfectly from both. So far I have only tried in the house on the local network. Many Thanks
  5. I will be happy to do that. Although, I have had the ISY-26 in service for less than a week, it has really impressed me. It installed easily and has worked nearly flawlaessly. I did have a problem changing the password, but the Beta has fixed that. My home automation needs are relatively modest compared to most I read about here. Just a few lights and an espresso machine going off and on. My primary interest is the handling and notification of household events like water leaks and equipment failures. Much of what I thought I would need to do on my own has already been implemented in the ISY-26 saving me many hours of programming. It would be helpful to me if support for I/O devices like the EZIO8 expanded as I will monitor devices via dry contacts and control other ones like solenoid controlled valves. Perhaps you can suggest better devices for the handling of this type of I/O. Thanks for the superb support and I will update you as I go. Howard
  6. Very good Michel, that did it! I have managed to install 2.4.13. Can I do anything for you? Howard
  7. Hi Michel, No, I don't run McAfee. I use Eset's NOD32 for Virus software and the Window standard firewall. I disabled both and tried again with no change. I did notice that it is more around 38% percent when the failure occurs. Thanks, Howard
  8. When I try to do the install of 2.4.12 it stops with an error at about 35% done. It says: Upgrade Failed: Invalid Length What am I doing wrong? I have tried downloading it again, no change. Thanks, Howard
