not sure if this got resolved, I had the experienced no heat/cool state statuses once I upgraded to 994i I just went to the stat and manually raised the set point to call for heat and now it is there just thought I would share ..

got my iolinc and it works like a charm I tried ground the unused inputs but could not get a status update with out a query saved the log but it posted ugly with no returns will try again thanks for the help

How long ago was the EZIO2X4 purchased and from what company? ABOUT A MONTH AGO FROM SMARTHOME Does the EZIO2X4 have a passthru outlet on the front of the device? NO PASSTHROUGH Is the EZIO2X4 added to the 99i at 3.3.10 or the 994i at 4.0.5? 99i WITH 3.3.10 4.0.5 IS THE USER INTERFACE I HAVE REMOVED ONCE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND KEEP YOU POSTED

restored it twice still acts the same I have input 1 control a light so when I make input 1 on nothing happens when I query the exio the input 1 status come back as on and my linked light turn on remember I have not ran ran/programmed the exio with the serial cable and their little app that I read others talk about... thanks FYI here is a even view when I query the exio then the 2nd pic is when I change the relay state1 which also changes input state1 the pics posted are in reverse order I changes the state 1st then queried it

that's what I figured just ordered one and I will look deeper into the ezio2x4 on a rainy day or season I know it works...... but not quit plug in play maybe I will do so comparisons for the forum to review since I will have both! just wondered if anyone has done that as of yet thanks

the plm is about 1ft for my main breaker box and the ezio is on a branch circuit about 50ft away about 3 repeaters through my house... the EZIO2x4 works flawless and fast for turning the relays on but I have to query to get the input status (I wired the input through the relay1 to simulate the status change) I read you have to run the exio's little app to configure reporting of the input and a other stuff I looked at the diagnostics recommended in the forum still got to figure out what all the messages mean hence my question I was just just looking for a plug and play like a keypad or something....... I might be asking for the impossible but that's why I am asking... (I just wanted to drop it in and program my ISY99i to use it...... Like a newbie would want... looking for the easy way out PS STGE 2 if any developers that want to help write/develop a MODBUS interface I have the MODBUS team ready then we could have a universal PLC interface for those more stringent applications' pm me mark@pteinc.com thanks. Just wondering opinions on which is the most robust device for switched inputs to isy99 I purchased the ezio2x4 installed it and can turn the relay outs off and on I but can only get input status changes updated if I "query it" Just wondered if the iolinc is more robust? if I just need a single input? I don't have the serial cable and other equip for ezio I am running 2412s PLM with v3.1 and isy991 with 3.3.10 and 4.05 ui I am a old newbie who has got lost in the ezio post in chasing unlinks and the like mishaps... brief pros and cons of each or other options please I need it for a domestic hot water heater temp switch to turn a circ pump on KIndor of important but not nuke grade just cold shower grade! thanks mark

87boosted Have you gone any further with the Modbus protocol? We were able to read and write registers form the ISY-99i development program but it stopped there. Now we just need to get the data mapped to the ISY side..... so close but so far... My company is a Control Systems Itegrator in the industrial world and I believe the ISY would be a great "gateway to the commercial world..if it had Modbus Michel just wants to know ROI and this is where we stopped...... yes it is the lights connected to the KPL kpl1 a single 100 watt quartz light is under the rating kpl2 6 40 watts candle incandosent are also been working for 13 years with x-10 .....2 years with insteon without a glitch (electrical wise) here is what A SMARTHOME moderator said "No, that's not a communications issue or a device failure. Just before Christmas I had a 6key KPL start flasing it's load and faint beeping I had 2cfls and 1 incondesent 1st i removed both cfls and it still flashed the sing incond....I installed new 6keypad and it flashes I got me a toggle switch.... now I have a 2nd 8KPL (dif location that flashes with just incons on it airgapped and reset and soon has any button is pressed the load flashes.... I havenot seen any threads talk about loads flashing and no coms with ISY. got any insteon for dummies troublshooting.... I went on a noise hunt cause ISY scense have been irratic...it's about 2years old...know # yet been a long day.....PS I did relocate couple access points before this second KPL started flashing...?? what is odd is all the posts mention led (keys) flashing mine is the "LOAD" the 6 incandesent lights connected to the load wire of the KPL all 3 instances and yes my access points one by my plm i press 4 times and the remote one blinks "bright green" I posted this on SH and they thought maybe somkind of restore went bad?? 3 diff KPLS that all flash the load? about .5 sec on 1 sec off thx MArk

jwagner010, How is your interface with squeeze box going I got a sqBx and isy 99I would you sharfe /sell you code to interface to it or point me in to the right directions for the codes to sqbox? question2 do yhave a sqbox for ea room or something else for squeeze box to direct the music to? #3 is there a manual on the network interface module ? thankyou Makr

I was frantic it was late and I knew I had a backup that was semi current... While I got you is there any threads discussing scenes can only turn stuff "on" reguardless the state of the controller in them? I do not want the scene to turn stuff off ever.... One use is to have a motion turn the scene on and ISY to turn it off But I Have other 1 way scene Ideas! thx again Michael Mark

Thanks Michael always nice to know ou are out there... I quicky I could not reboot from the config menu and I could not restore from the file menu what other reboots are there (I looked and can't find it) I just did a power cycle and it came back to life Thanks again Mark

been working fing for a month isy 99i v2.7.6 ,explorer 8, xp sp3 Adding a keypadlinc and accidently hit the start lincing button. Now I get no status, there are no programs and I keep getting Error discovering nodes, retry I do see status in the html version and my progroms are there but the Java is bricked I rebooted via the config page i does close the screen but when I log back on it the same error "Error discovering nodes, retry" I tried restore and I get "Could not clear configuration in ISY my lighting" Not feeling good Please help Mark

I have been convert from x-10 to insteaon I have converted about 40 devices I use the litebulb icon to open New insteon Device and there is where i enter the id and pick type.....Boy if I get 1 digit off it does not link the 1st time in 10 min I have to enter the i.d. again and when you are 50 well I forget by then (I know windows/java has a cache for maybe the last 5 or just the last one address entered...) I would have there in front of me.. unless there is another way? Just and thought to sweeeten the pot thx Mark

Thanks Micheal, updating to 2.7.6 did it. I had to restore the KPL and remove and remake the scene

I have kpl v2c and ISY99 v2.7.0 wanted to make"a" button turn on and off a scene 4 switchlinc dimmers and the KPL's load .....is there a trick? or a thread read? I have seen all off threads? naturally everything works but the KPL's load will not turn on when using the "a" button on the local KPL. then while I got someonse attention (this might be old) but if my (a,b c d) buttons are held in then they while dim /brighten the connected dimmers(except the local load) thx mark I am a nube but I am getting adjusted.

Michel, Are you saying that when a scenes is created between a KPL and a controller that if the light is turned on locally that the status will change state (off to on or on to off) I would really like to know how to do that without using ISY..... Thanks MarK

Power strips and ups(s) are the worst for x-10. especially if the are near x-10 and or insteon. I think is is the caps in them not sure though. I had intermitent x-10 traffic so bad I did a x-10 orsim. I pulled my electric meter so the whole whose was dead and isolated from the outside... Still getting x-10 traffic checking with a x-10 signal meter that was dc powered....It was a power strip...ya gotta have them in todays world but keep an eyeout that's why I am switching to insteon on or zwave....
