  1. That was it! Thank you! You know, I was bitten by this once before. I wish Smarthome would fix the font on the address labeling.
  2. My older In-LineLinc (2475S) started acting up (the relay would flash on/off every couple of seconds) so I purchased a new 2475SDB. I'm guessing the "DB" suffix is "Dual Band". Whatever, I can't get the ISY99 to add it. I selected Link Management -> New INSTEON/A10/X10 Device, gave it the device code (56.18.5A) and selected [02.1F] from the Device Type pulldown: "(2475SDB) Dual Band InlineLinc On/Off Switch" and clicked "Ok". The ISY gets through 6% and then dumps the error "The following devices could not be added" I've tested the device with its onboard on/off switch and verified that it works with the lights its controlling. And the ISY99 didn't have a problem communicating with the old 2475S for years. I also tried it using Auto Discover. I rebooted the ISY99 in case there was an issue with a stale core. I've looked at the logs and they weren't helpful. What am I missing? Is there anything else I can try?
  3. That's essentially what I did: uninstall and reinstall Java. I'm figuring that one of the Mac OS updates invalidated something.
  4. You're right. I got a new PLM when I bought the ISY994 package from Smarthome. ISY Launcher just opens the Java app, then shows a UD logo then crashes. I'm not sure how to check if the UI version matches the firmware. I can say that my Java runtime is up to date. There's still the matter of the Power light not lighting, even though the ISY994 is alive. That leads me to suspect broken hardware.
  5. My ISY994 is apparently broken. All the devices work via the /WEB/udajax.htm "My Devices & Scenes" page and the scheduler is working reliably. I can even telnet into the device on my network. I have two green link lights on the back. However, Administrative Console and start.jnlp both hang so I can't edit the raw devices. I also have no light showing on the front panel, including the Power light although it's obviously powered up. My guess is that the ISY994 needs to be replaced. That said, my link database backup is over a year old (I know, my bad) and I've added several Insteon inline devices since which are embedded in the ceiling under heavy chandeliers. I REALLY don't want to revisit pulling those down again just to get their Insteon IDs. My question is a two parter: 1. Is there are way to view the current link database via telnet to the ISY994, even if it's just to give me the Insteon codes? 2. Is there a way to dump the PLM for this data? Mine is an ethernet model 2413U. Actually one more question: The ISY994 used to perform 100%. Last year I dumped my Verizon router and added Ubiquiti's Unifi controller and security gateway. Since then I've had no need to run Admin Console so I don't know if that's a factor or not. But it could be. Could there be a blocked port? And, yes, I did replace the power supply with another 1.5a I had laying around. No change.
  6. I changed the power supply to another 5V/1.5a 2mm barrel power supply and same thing: the Power light never comes on. But the Unifi controller sees the ISY994. Could this be a defective ISY994? Is there any way to back up the data files via the telnet interface? I really don't want to have to remove ceiling lights and chandeliers again to get at the Insteon inline modules. Or are all the devices backed up on the PLM and the codes are accessible from there?
  7. Yes, no lights are showing. Yet the "My Devices & Scenes" page is working fine. As a matter of fact, the scheduler just turned on my evening lights. They flash when booted up but after that, no steady light. Since I installed the ISY994 I also installed a Unifi router, cloud key and access points. I haven't had any problems with DHCP on it though.
  8. None of it seems to apply. After rebooting the device I have no lights showing. I have the Admin Console icon on my desktop. My machine's hostname is set accordingly in the local hosts file. I don't have any of those apps running. I disabled my anti-virus. This USED to work fine. The "My Devices & Scenes" page still does. Something broke in the past year or two since I last used Admin Console. 9. It's been well over a year since I installed the ISY-994 and everything was going great until I needed to install a new Insteon device today. When I click on ISY994 Administrative Console I get a Universal Devices logo in the center of the screen and then... nothing. No error message. It just unloads. I checked my Java Runtime (Version 8, Update 261) which the Control Panel says is the recommended version. My Mac was updated to 10.15.6 Catalina since I installed the ISY so I don't know if that's the issue. I can hit the ISY994 "My Devices & Scenes" page okay. But when I click I get on Admin Console I get the screen below. I've also downloaded and tried to run start.jnlp directly. After the usual Mac file security warnings it let me do that but launching it gives me a UD logo and then it again crashes. I'm a developer but not a Java guy so I don't know where the logs are to see if there's a message in there. I saw a earlier post that I should clear the cache and did so. But it didn't help. Any ideas?
