Guys, you have outdone yourselves! I have been an ISY-99 user for 5 years now - love the product, and love the support! But this recent addition of voice control has brough this 1 step closer to the home automation utopia I',ve been longing for! Love the way I can use the voice control with scenes to turn lights on in the basement before I go down stairs, or all off when I'm heading back up. It works flawlessly thus far (as long as I remember the name I gave the function ), and the only improvments I could see is allowing control of IR in scenes, and perhaps knowing when my Iphone is at home to turn on the listen in background on only when applicable. Great job UD team! I continue to recommend you highly (if only the insteon hardware from SH was as reliable)

Thanks for this quick responce Michel, Yes, the new serial interface is duel mode (old was not), I have tried resoring / linking with and without my 2 access points installed. I have also connected the serial interface (via extension cord) to the very outlet the closest access point is plugged into (right below the thermostat). When I run a full restore, it places the green arrow next to all insteon devices except the thermostat. I have removed one of my 2 Venstars, and tried to linc as new, also with no success. Am I missing a sequence to linking these? I remember when I first got them. It took a number of tries to get the right sequence??? Thanks again for your support, and a great product!

I recently had to replace my serial interface. And after replacement noticed both my venstar thermostats were unreadable (exclamation point next to them in my lighting). I have been unable to refresh, and after removing one, and attempting to relink, I get the following errors; 1) failed writing the high water mark [-200000/-1], 2) node not added, failed removing links [-200000/-9]. I've tried a number of variations, but suspect I must be missing a sequence. Can you please provide some help? Many thanks - Jim

Are there any plans to interface isy with the new smarthome wifi touchscreen? This seems like it could be a cost effective GUI for isy in the future. Thanks again for a great product and outstanding support

Hi, For some reason, my sheduled actions stopped executing a few days ago. When I go into Mobil linc, it indicates the last runs were all the same day (last week). I can still control lights and thermostats with manual control using "devises" in mobil linc, but if I go into "programs" in mobil linc, and press "run then command" I get the following message: "Bad Message - Isy failed to process the request. please try again" I assume there is a corrolation between this, and the fact the programs are no longer running to schedule. The programs are listed as active, and I reloaded the isy software, with no improvment. Am I missing somthing obviose, or is this some type of hardware missfunction. Please help

Hi Jasonl99, I had also purchased the TED a few months ago for use on my hybrid Insteon / X10 system controlled by Isy. After @ 10 days of use I had no problems with the insteon devises, but the X-10 was a differant problem! even with filters I could not stop reandom X-10 controlled devises from switching on. I ultimatly switched to the cent-o-meter which doesnt use powerline carriers for communication. The people at TED were quite helpfull though, and immediatly offered a refund. They indicated they were considering a future offering that didin't use power line communication.

Hi Michel - thanks for your help! 1) when I run the HTTPS address, it gets to the "my lighting page", then if I click administrative console I get the "do not close page" with the java Icon timing for a moment. It then puts up a page that looks like the admin console (has tabs and top bar, but the main field is blue and empty, and after @30 seconds I get the "socket open" failure. If I click on "OK", I get a never ending houre glass icon, but the wierd thing is, if I click on a tab (like configuration) it opens up the framework(s), but with no data in them? 2) I'm using the Isy-99IR with 2.7.0

Thank you Rand, and thanks again for your phone support the other day getting my port forwarding setup!!! You guys are the greatest! Do you think this is a firewall ajustment on my specific work computer, or a company wide IT firewall restriction? Remote access from work is the primary location I would like acces from

I previosly tried learning some IR codes trough my Isy-99IR, and found they are quite noisy. I wanted to try the default IR codes, but cant seem to find the "import IR codes" button referanced in the manual (supposed to be top of the screen. Did something change when I selected to learn codes, and this is no longer viable? Or do I have to reset something?

I have been trying to setup remote access to my izzy-99, and get the following failure when trying to open the administration console page: "socket open failed Java.net.timeout exception". I am able to control my Issy with the Ilinc iphone app ussing the HTTPS address when on 3G, but run into this problem trying to access from my work XP computer. I did update Java to the latest setting. Is this timeout just an adjustment I have to make? You help is most appreciated

I noticed the venstar thermostats are available elsewere for significantly less like:venstaroutlet.com - T1700 = $65 T1800 = $95 ACC0434 rf module (included with SH units =37.50

Thanks for the reply - to confirm, the I/O linc is the single input / single output unit that SM also sells as a 4 pack? Since SM is out of these, anyone else that also carries them (or is SM prime source) Thanks for you help Michel - This is my 3rd home atomation controller, and definetly the best! Your team makes a great product, with great support, and I love the contiuos improvment to make it better! On a differant note - I'm thinking of purchasing the venstar T1800 thermostats - is it possible to use their local measured tempature and humidity (with the add on) as conditions in programs?

I have an Isy-99 and IEC touchscreen display, and am looking to configure a home / away button on the touchscreen to run the relevant program folder. Unless i'm missing something, the only way I can see to do this is to set home & away as scenes, and tie to a keypad link button or I/O output since I cannot seem to test for scenes as a condition in my program (i.e. - If I press the "home" scene button" on the IEC display, it activated an I/O output, which can be tested for as a condition of the "home scene" folder). This seems conveluted - I would welcome the feedback from others that have done this to see it there is a better way! - Thanks
