Integrating Thermostat 2441TH with Home/Away Programs
Mike Ippolito replied to calberrt's topic in ISY994
Are your variables state or integer? You need to use state variables to trigger programs. Sorry for brevity - posted using mobile Tapatalk -
Yes, in our notification email that was sent out. Please subscribe to our notifications to ensure you get these! ISY994i Series Firmware Release Notification ISY994i Series Firmware v4.2.30 (Final) Is Now Available After many minor releases we are pleased to announce our newest firmware has been released to production. A list of some of the newest features: SSLv3 removed - TLS 1.1 now default! - We've removed support for SSL v3 due to worldwide vulnerabilities exposed by POODLE. In addition we've made TLS 1.1 now standard on all ISY's to give you excellent security out of the box. Support for many new INSTEON devices and enhanced support for INSTEON battery devices. Literally hundreds of modifications to our AMI meter framework to give robust and accurate reading when using our ZigBee SEP Series. Z-Wave Backup & Restore. Enhanced Scenes capabilities allowing you to mix Z-Wave and Insteon Devices Support for our relay controller for OpenADR and Demand Response Head over to our forum for installation instructions. IMPORTANT: Starting with 4.0.x releases, we had to stop further firmware releases for ISY99i Series. What's on the 2015 firmware Roadmap? Our 5.0 release is almost ready! It features our highly anticipated "Virtual Nodes" and enhanced variables support. Integrate IP gateways, IoT devices and much more with full programs and variables support. The team is putting the final touches on it, and our alpha / beta cycle will start very soon. Developers and hardware manufacturers interested in providing support please contact us for an early sneak peek at this amazing new feature set. This represents an entirely new way to look at device relationships and is almost an entirely new software stack! For the less adventurous we'll also continue to release along our 4.x path. This will provide some of the new features such as variable support in programs and network resources, faster security layers, and additional device support - but it retains the full certified software stack for OpenADR and hardware devices such as Z-Wave. This release path will provide long term support and low risk updates for deployed devices using these certified software stacks. Twitter Support Twitter Updates Our Forum Submit a Ticket Wiki

Oberkc - please remove the sensor and add it again CLOSER to the ISY. If an Insteon device reports v0.0 instead of a real version number it has not added properly.

Two motion sensors, using and with parentheses
Mike Ippolito replied to khisanthax's topic in ISY994
Actually after thinking about it you don't need three programs just two. The first program is if motion one or motion two then, call the then of the next program. But you might want a third program to turn off the lights after X +2 minutes if on. This way if the lights are manually turned on and the motion is not triggered they will turn off. Love the spelling error (lol) moron sensors are truly what I call them sometimes!! Try this: Three programs Two if motions for each of the sensors that point to the THEN of: Third program: If (leave blank) Turn light on Wait x minutes Turn light off Sorry for brevity - posted using mobile Tapatalk -
I would recommend you look at the RCS PMC40-ZW or PMC30-ZW, not sure if you have Z-Wave installed but it is worth it to add if you don't. Z-Wave is superior for energy monitoring and this relay with energy monitoring does the job really well. It can be used with 120v loads or 240v loads and gives you accurate readout of energy usage with 1% accuracy. If you're using it to trigger the load on the condenser, make sure you use the PMC40 as it is rated for 40Amps.

Try to test by right clicking on the program and select "Run Then" to see if it shows up with/without delay. If you really need something to show up quickly, I'd recommend you look into push notifications.

Universal Devices announces remote access and control system for OpenADR end nodes. A fully integrated control panel to minimize stranded assets and maximize demand response program efficiency. February 2, 2015 Encino, CA – Universal Devices, an industry leader in energy management and automation devices, today announced the general availability of its management portal for utility partners and business customers. Utilities look to Universal Device’s ISY994 series OpenADR VEN for its unparalleled security in a behind-the-firewall client for demand response. The ISY994 series gives customers the security and peace of mind that only a locally deployed standalone system can give, while providing utilities the reporting and management features they need without rolling a truck. Unlike competing solutions that utilize the cloud to monitor devices and process OpenADR events, the portal provides the utility the ability to remotely troubleshoot and ensure trouble free connected status, but not the direct ability to control or monitor the users’ behavior. Built into the ISY994 series controllers real-time operating system is a secure method for the controller to connect to the portal from the business location, in a firewall friendly manner. While the utility has only limited access, the business customer may elect to subscribe to one of several packages for complete control of one or more ISY994 series controllers to fully monitor, manage, and control connected devices. This functionality provides the owner to aggregate multiple buildings into a holistic view while ensuring the security of the building’s systems using fine-grained user permissions. Full control for business owners is slated for release in Q2 2015, while the utility portal is available for deployment starting this month. Universal Devices based in Encino, CA, produces a variety of automation and energy management devices for Home, Business, and Industry. Management portal demonstrations and private meetings are available at DistribuTECH Feb 3-5, San Diego in the Universal Devices OpenADR Alliance booth #3811. Universal Devices and Vantage Point bring a turnkey home automation platform to ISP’s and Utilities Providing “Remote Assistant” a complete solution to retain and attract customers for service providers February 2, 2015 Encino, CA and Mitchell, SD – Universal Devices, an industry leader in energy management and automation devices, today announced a partnership with Vantage Point Solutions to bring “Remote Assistant”, a home automation portal to Independent Service Providers (ISP’s) and Utilities. Providing an industry first platform of security and automation, the Remote Assistant takes full advantage of the ISY platform’s autonomy, with the convenience of a web-based interface. “Vantage Point uses the full capabilities of the ISY to provide a secure and seamless experience for customers that still allows events and schedules to run in the event of Internet disruption” said Mike Ippolito, Chief Product Officer of Universal Devices. I'd like to "Relay" something to you....
Mike Ippolito replied to Mike Ippolito's topic in Official News and Announcements
As I stated.. it is being evaluated, and at this juncture I cannot say which direction we will take. -
I attempted this with a qubino z-wave temperature sensor / relay board I was testing. As long as you don't care that 99% of these devices are not calibrated you can use it. In your instance it appears you'd be fine with several degrees off as you're looking for gross changes in temperature. I was attempting to remotely monitor my sous vide cooker and found it several degrees centigrade off, which was not ideal. You might want to throw a power meter on that refrigerator, if indeed it is freezing up, it might be costing you more in energy than buying a new one!

Sorry, for some reason I did not get any notification on these posts to the thread. The device is slated for Q2 deployment and will take over the Port A. It is in response to requirements for commercial automation without INSTEON. The ability to add more device types to Port A is slated for evaluation in FY15 with our current hardware. -
FYI - I did post us there as a 'manufacturer' but unfortunately the link provided (and anywhere else I looked) was for software only, not embedded systems or complete systems. Hoping that there might be another manufacturer listed in that guide I scoured it, but alas no one else was listed - so I restrained myself from adding us. I think if someone were to go to the home automation reviews section, I can think of a great addition to that section *hint hint*, as the last review done there for any controller was in 2010. One might want to go there to read about controllers that support Insteon and Z-Wave for instance.

Just want to be clear.. If you really meant together... You won't be very happy after bundling the neutral and hot. "Is it safe or possible to use a marette and just bundle the white and black that goes into that switch to gather and talked about behind the switch basically disabling the manual switch?" The line and load is what you meant - correct? Sorry for brevity - posted using mobile Tapatalk

Which thermostat do you own? This function has been in the code for quite some time, but only was implemented for specific thermostats that allow us to remotely update schedules.
