  1. I want to prepare my system for the migration to eisy. The instructions I have been given indicate I should start from a recent isy version before migration. I figured that activity could be initiated from UDI console Help button. I chose the only selection "Manually Upgrade Kelcher Smart Home" that came close. It appears it is a backup function. It appears the word Upgrade means Backup, right? My question is how do I download the most recent isy version of software. Any help is appreciated.
  2. Thanks so much you guys for such a quick response. I will enjoy looking at the links and their instructions.
  3. Hello Forum folks. I'm new to this forum however being a member for many years I still had to re-sign up due to credential issues. I've been using UDI 994 ISY for many years. I've read the forum's responses to this (Polisy-EISY) topic and have learned nothing. I'm a long time Insteon house and survived Insteon's fall and resurrection. I purchased several more Insteon devices including, yes, the i series of devices. To my disappointment, I learned the hard way, my ISY does not support these new devices. Insteon support recommended I purchase UDI's latest product, the EISY. Outside of still being totally incapable of discriminating between Polisy and EISY, all I really want to know is; When I upgrade (to EISY or Polisy) will my existing programs and scenes be recognized without re-writing or altering them. Any help is appreciated.
  4. Geddy, Yep you are right. I didnt know what the cost was. Sounds like a deal. I consider myself educated now. Thanks all.
  5. I would like to to indicate when my garage door is open by illuminating or blinking the LED behind a button of a control pad. I scanned the forum and tutorials but no luck. I realize I could turn on a separate light somewhere but would like to keep it all at the controller. Any help or guidance is appreciated.
  6. Also thanks to MWareman. I will reconsider the, as you put it, "cost of admission" .
  7. Thank you Lilyoyo1 for your quick response. I paid for it initially of course. I didn't realize I was committing for only one years use. I thought it was a purchase not a paid service. Thanks for confirming this for me. Looks like I screwed up. I will look into the HUE emulator not sure what RPI or Polisy is but I will research those too. Thanks for taking it easy on this Newbee.
  8. Hello, been using my ISY with Alexa for sometime now over a year). However I received an email message recently stating my license is expiring. I ignored it figuring it was some sort of marketing scam. Well, my license did expire and I no longer can control my devices via voice through Alexa. All scenes and programs and devices are still active and running in ISY. What happened? I do not recall purchasing a license agreement when I first set it up. I do not want to pay an annual license fee just to control my lights through Alexa. Am I all wet here? Is there really an annual license fee? If so does anyone know another tool/software package that can take ISY portal's place.
