  1. Sorry to bump, but having a related problem, and have tried all of the suggestions in the Archived threads already. I have a 2440 RemoteLinc. Originally, I had an RF receiver in the house too, and it worked, but back in those days it was manually linked to everything. Now that I have finally grasped the concepts of ISY, I wanted to use it again. I have a number of dual-band devices (at least 5-6?) and so I think if I understand what I have read, I don't need the old RF receiver - do I? I can't add it manually, as there is no address sticker in the back compartment. I have pulled the battery and followed the manual, to totally reset the remotelinc, just to be sure, and that was successful. When I pick the blue/yellow arrow, and the modem clicks, I try and put into remote linking mode, either pressing BRIGHT & DIM at the same time, as many posts suggested, or just pressing any button for 10 seconds, neither make it show up in ISY. I have tried wrapping it in tinfoil, I have tried going outside, 40ft down the driveway and doing it from the hood of the car... is that far enough away? :-) Open to ideas here... maybe I have missed something basic. (the old RF receiver is probably here somewhere if I look around enough and someone thinks I need it) Thanks much! Andrew
