  1. Ah actually just missed where you said directions are only for android. So this only works on iOS with the app locative? Is that the official view of Universal Devices? Just want to make sure I’m using the right app.
  2. I am using iOS and the app is called “UD Mobile” by Universal Devices ISY. The first time I download and open it it asks me to connect to the ISY Portal and I don’t see any options anywhere about entering a 6 digit pin. Am I missing something else @Javi ?
  3. I was trying to set up the configuration for the V2 occupancy node server and get to the point of getting the 6 digit pin code. But when I go to download the UD mobile app it looks like it’s been updated and there is no option to enter the 6 digit code. Can anyone point me in the right direction or have updated instructions? Many thanks
  4. @larryllix thanks, on their website when you go to add to cart it says sold out. I wonder if my lights are connected to Hue Bridge -> then into the ISY - would the Hue Motion Sensor work okay? Just looking for quick feedback so motion detects then lights turn on without too much of delay.
  5. @MrBill or anyone really - do you have any recommendations on speedy and reliable motion sensors ? I see the Insteon Motion Sensor II is sold out everywhere. Is that the best one? Or something else works good too? I would think native to ISY is best?
  6. @larryllix and @MrBill - many thanks!!
  7. @lilyoyo1 many thanks. I went with the strip @MrBill suggested. Link here. The strip is 16.4 feet, 480 LED's and so 96 LEDs per meter. 24V, working power 5.5A and 132W/16.4 ft max. Is it as simple as cutting the strip in half to 8 feet means working power of 5.5A with 66W max?
  8. Super helpful discussion, thank you all. I was looking at the LED strip that @MrBill suggested. I see it is a 16.4 foot and says it is 24V, 5.5A and 132W. I ordered some Glendopto controllers. 1. I think I can cut the 16 foot strip to use in 2 separate places if I also buy another 6-pin wire connector for the end piece I cut off, yes? 2. For getting a power supply to drive it, I'm having a hard time finding an appropriate one. I need to get at least 5.5A and then 155W (so 85% is 132W). Does this change if I am cutting the strip in half say? Would then I be able to get away with half of amps and watt needs? So I could find a power supply that does 3A and 80W ? Many thanks!
  9. thanks both @MrBill and @lilyoyo1 I bought the Hue Hub and a bulb to test and so far working really easy. Now to explore light strips. Many thanks!!
  10. @MrBill to connect the Hue Bridge to the ISY - you use NetworkResources? Or Polyglot NodeServer? I just went into the Polyglot and I don't see Hue in there anymore. Is Polyglot going away?
  11. @MrBill would you mind sharing what strip you use? thanks!
  12. Thanks for your responses. I do not have a Hue bridge, so will look into that. I like to have something that works without internet - is this local? or does it need wifi? Also, can these just be plugged into an ordinary outlet and then still controlled by an Insteon switch (I guess through the ISY talking to Hue Bridge via Polisy?) Is there any advantage to using an Insteon On/Off outlet?
  13. In my Insteon setup I would like to add under-cabinet LED strips in my kitchen. I need them to be controllable from a physical switch, but also want them available for programming automatic actions. i.e., if after midnight the switch only turns them on a 15% level. Or if after midnight a motion sensor will turn them on at 15% level. Or they turn on automatically at 7am at 50% level, etc. But also want them to be easily turned on/off at a switch (6 button preferred so the 3 or 4 I plan on using can be controlled separately). Is this possible and if so, any suggestions for the best way to achieve this? Many thanks.
