  1. Thanks for the feedback. You all are supporting the conclusion I have reached. One additional clarification, since I am still new at the ISY and home automation. Oh the HP website it says the software is loaded on the ISY Hub. The conclusion I reached is the "Hub" would be a Polisy node server. It is not referring to the ISY994ZW. I could not find the term "Hub" anywhere on Universal Devices web pages, so I am assuming it is a generic term for a server.
  2. I am looking at options for display of ISY functions on wall mounted tablets. HousePanel appeared promising but I noticed all discussions on it appear to have stopped last January with the above post. What is the state of it now? I found a website but it doesn't appear to have evolved much either.
  3. I got feed back from Jasco today that the switches should be showing as controllers. They said contact Universal Devices
  4. Sorry, poor spelling. Firmware is 5.2.0
  5. The file "Start.jnlp" came from the link you posted. It downloaded to computer and I executed it. Firm where is 5.2.0
  6. They are zwave plus devices and there status changes immediately when manually activated.
  7. I have added 42 of the Jasco ZW3005 Dimmers and 11 ZW4005 switches to the ISY. The ZW4005s all show as controllers. The ZW3005s all show as receivers. Looking at the ZWave Alliance website I found the below supported classes for the ZW3005 and ZW4005 (pasted below). They appear to be the same. Can anyone tell me why the ZW3005 can't be a controller? I envisioned using tablets mounted to the walls as scene controllers but I haven't found a way to do create scenes without a switch acting as the controller. If the ZW3005 can't be a controller is there away to create a virtual controller for the scenes? 8. I went through this. However, it starts out with setting path to JDK not JRE. I have a JRE directory. I subtended JRE for JDK and followed the procedure but had no effect. I cleared the cache and application and ran the start.exe again. The ISY Finder starts on it's own as part of install but once closed activating the desktop link results in the same message.
  9. I followed Techman's advise. The app started. I closed the app and tried to open it again and got the "Cannot determine java home" message again. But I can launch the app from the Java cash viewer page.
  10. Sorry. I did miss your question. It is Version 8 Update 301 (build 1.8.0_301-b09). Yes it came from the official Java website. Running on Windows 10 version 20H2
  11. As I said in the first paragraph of my post. I get the error message when I try to run from the app icon.
  12. I followed the instructions in the first post. The ISY Launcher app was created on my desktop. However, when the app is initiated a window pops up with "Cannot determine a valid Java Home". The header on the pop up window is: Java(TM) Web Start 11.171.2.11-fcs. I can start the ISY Finder by selecting from the Java control panel General->Temporary Internet Files->view and running the ISY Launcher. Then I can right click on the link in the ISY Finder to launch the administrative console. Clearly there should be an easier way. I repeated the installation process multiple times and each time the ISY Launcher started with the same message.
