  1. I'm pretty sure that you'll need a puck and you can't establish local control because this NS uses the Flair API (you have to contact them for credentials). The Flair system is really good at balancing temps around the house (my basement was always freezing before Flair). It would keep trying to balance your media closet when you don't want it to, so you would need local control of your vent instead of letting Flair do it. Unless you added a puck and kept the temp manually jacked in one direction or the other. I've been using the Flair NS for a year or so now and it's reasonably reliable for controlling the vents, not much else though. Status reporting almost never stays in sync. So Flair doesn't always know when ISY opens or closes a vent and vice versa. I don't use it for much other than closing a any vents located by a door if the door has been left open. I have a panty vent that I open in the spring and close in the fall, but I do it through the Flair app, just because that's what I've always done (which is a pain but for a thread in a Flair forum not here). I would try and see if I can get my ISY to close it every time Flair opens it, but the status being out of sync is an issue there. Overall, I think the Flair system is awesome, just won't do much with this unsupported NS. For your media closet, I'd recommend you use a dumb motorized vent or inline damper and connect one of those to a relay device for ISY control.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply, getting these on your list and the doorbell idea @Javi. I was doing a bit of tinkering and found a (not-so-elegant) solution to use in the meantime. I created a webhook in ISY Portal to control the scene and pasted it in the network resource notification body. My (Android) phone provides an "Open link" button in the notification. Now I just need to figure out how to get a local link to my camera feed for the doorbell implementation.
  3. Easy notification setup here. I got a ton of these set up in a short amount of time. Customized sounds, choosing some to override DND and even setting some notifications to silent from within Android settings is easy. Your work here is much appreciated! Not sure if these ideas would be feature requests or I just can't find how to do them. I was thinking that it would be cool if the notification I received could have a button to execute a command or program. Couple examples of use cases: - Notification for Garage door left open for too long. Here's a button to close it from within the notification. - Notification says that the kids left the basement lights on after bedtime - Here's a button to turn them off from within the notification. I'm also thinking about adding an Insteon sensor to my doorbell for UD notifications when it rings. I use a (mostly) CCTV camera system because my wife doesn't trust the "Privacy" policies of the streaming doorbell companies. What about a camera feed (or link to one) in the UD notification? 4. I'm hoping that the 2474D dimmers that I already have on hand will be a good fit. I know they need a trickle of power through the load to power the internal electronics and saw that the Infratech panel has a couple different types of relays can even a resistor bridging the load to a neutral. I've emailed their tech support to clarify if I could possibly damage the panel by trying my dimmers and they are looking into it. I also like that the 2474Ds are RF only and I won't need to worry (as much) about noise on the line when the heaters are running. So far I have no new issues since the heaters were installed. Couple of old communication/noise issues but I'll save them for another thread. Thanks!
  5. I know right? All this thought, planning and effort electrical involved in the (Super expensive) panel and yes, you can turn in back on right away. Dimmers are Leviton 6672-1LW https://www.leviton.com/en/products/6672-1lw Timer is Intermatic EI215W https://www.intermatic.com/Product/EI215W I don't think the existing dimmers or timer are much to consider here as they are replaceable with "Almost any 120V dimmer" Got a delay relay recommendation? Or a program example with more detail? I'm new to ISY and Polisy, but not Insteon or electrical work.
  6. Dimmers just provide a variable voltage to tell the control panel what on level to set the heaters to. Timer is a failsafe to make sure they don't stay on too long for safety and so they don't consume too much power. The total load for the timer and dimmers is under an amp. Here's the schematics I have on them. DWG#31058.pdf IN_UNIVERSAL-PANEL-TIMER-AND-DIMMER-WIRING-EXAMPLE_2022.pdf
  7. Hey guys, I have a couple Infratech 6000W electric patio heaters that run off their 240V "Universal Control Panel". This control panel came with a 120V wall timer switch and a couple of 120V slide dimmers to set the on level of the heaters. I can replace them with any 120V dimmer. I'm going to use a pair of Insteon dimmer switches to make it "Smart". Here's my issue/question. The timer is used because the heaters can't be on for more than 4 hours. They need a 15 minute cool down and can be turned back on. So I need a SUPER RELIABLE timer. Here are my thoughts on possibilities: - Find a timer that can initiate a timer sequence when it gets powered up (by an Insteon On/Off device). - Find a Z Wave timer that can handle this operation and upgrade my Polisy Pro with Z Matter - Use ISY to set up and trigger timer(s) - I feel like this could be an issue because schedules/timers/programs sometimes don't work due to user error, setup error, connectivity problems etc. and this needs to be an infallible solution. Sorry if this post is in the wrong area, I'm a noob here and can't post elsewhere. Thanks for reading and let me know your thoughts.
  8. I'm not quite sure what problem you're trying to solve, but I found this thread a while back. I bookmarked it because I'll eventually be attempting repairs on a FanLinc that makes the fan hum on low speed. I only have one spare left. Hope this helps.
