Hi, he's been pretty responsive to others, including me, but I believe he's gone a lot with work, and this week was Thanksgiving, so I would encourage you to be patient in terms of awaiting a response. My apologies, I didn't see your response until this morning. I had check the forum a few times this weekend for a notice you'd responded, and didn't see one, but I should have checked the thread itself, as I didn't have the "follow topic" slider set. 😕 I have disabled all but the set of plugins in HomeSeer that I believe are required for testing, and also removed the CAI WebControl device from NodeLink to reduce extraneous log entries. I have configured the following devices in HomeSeer H4, for which NodeLink has created corresponding nodes in the ISY-994i. "SS01 - Tuya Smart Socket" n001_hs1_v678 Smart Socket devices managed via Tuya HS4 plugin Works properly (on/off) from HomeSeer HS4 interface Does not yet respond to control from ISY via NodeLink Does not yet display on/off status properly in ISY (always shows off) "Virtual Device 01" n001_hs1_v690 HS4 native virtual device created for testing purposes Does not yet respond to control from ISY via NodeLink Does not yet display on/off status properly in ISY (always shows off) "Sample Plugin Linked to SS01" n001_hs1_v696 HS4 Sample Plugin-based switch Linked to "SS01 - Tuya Smart Socket" E.g. when "Sample Plugin..." is triggered on, it then triggers "SS01..." on as a linked device. Properly controls SS01 on/off from HS4 interface Does not yet respond to control from ISY via NodeLink Does not yet display on/off status properly in ISY (always shows off) "Test Thermostat" n001_hs1_v656 HS4 native virtual thermostat device created for testing purposes Does not yet respond to control from ISY via NodeLink Does not yet display on/off status properly in ISY (always shows off) I have attached the full, unedited logs of all log entries cited below as .txt files. So I took a working IFTTT network resource I have that was formatted for JSON, and converted it back to the format you are using here, and it still works. Your host and port look correct. Can you confirm that you are using https vs. http? (in the first field at the top left just before POST) Also, ensure you have the "Use SNI" checkbox checked, and that your mode is "C Escaped." Using default/default solved the authentication error, but I also didn't reed your device description carefully, which is that your HS support is for Zwave devices. So I suspect that may be the reason that I still can't turn on and off devices in HomeSeer, is because I am trying to control a combination of HS virtual devices (which can be used to trigger other devices), and Tuya devices. My Zwave transmitter for my RP3-based HS hasn't arrived yet. I sent you a PayPal donation, as I definitely plan to integrate your CAI WebControl device control, which is working great. By way of suggestions, if there was a way to configure Node Link to use a different set of credentials for HomeSeer other than default/default? That would be helpful from a security standpoint. Another suggestion would be that if the Node Server HS device could support could HomeSeer Virtual Devices, which can use Features -> Linked Devices to control other HD devices. Maybe this could be a way to expand control of other plugin-based devices without having to support them directly? Thanks again, great stuff!

Hmm... Did you happen to Tweet something nasty at the IFTTT CEO? Can you post a scrubbed version of the network resource you are trying to send IFTTT Webhooks? (removing your key, and any other private info). I'd be happy to try it on my end and see if IFTTT accepts it or not.

If you have an Epson projector made between 2006 and 2020 with a serial port, and you would like to control it from your ISY, these network resources will allow for ON/OFF control of a wide variety of Epson projectors. You will need a $21 Ethernet to Serial adapter, such as the USR-TCP232-302, configured as a TCP server listening on port 3629. You will also need a straight through DB-9 male to female serial cable (not null modem). "Epson Power On" can be fired off at any time, so long as the project is in Standby mode, and will remotely power on your applicable Epson projector. To power off, first trigger "Epson Prompt Init" followed by a wait of 6 seconds in your program before triggering "Epson Power Off." (It may work for you without initiating the prompt first, but I find it is more reliable this way.) "Epson Power ?" can be used from the ISY Admin Console to remotely check the current power status of your projector, but I don't know of a way to directly feed the network resource response back into an ISY variable without using an off-ISY intermediary to update an ISY variable via the REST interface. Thankfully I have not found monitoring the power state necessary for stable usage. The file "Epson 2006-2020 Power Control via Ethernet to Serial Bridge" includes network resources should work with dozens of Epson projectors from 2006-2020 (and perhaps later). Hi, I'm trying out NodeLInk, and this looks great! Nicely done! However, I appear to be having issues authenticating to HomeSeer, even though I have HomeSeer configured as follows: No Password Required for Local (same subnet) Login Enable Control with JSON (Required for Alexa/Google Home/IFTTT/Etc.) Enable Control using ASCII Commands NodeLink was setup sudo from user "pi," which is configured as an admin in HomeSeer. NodeLink and HomeSeer are both currently runnign on the same Raspberry Pi RP3. I have tried using both a setup of NodeLink on the same Raspberry Pi (RP3) as HomeSeer, as well as NodeLink running separately on a Windows host, both with the same results, which is that I am unable to control On/Off commands from the ISY that are HS nodes created via NodeLink. I would love to get this working, so any suggestions of what to tweak would be highly appreciated! I believe the applicable sections of the log are: 2022-11-11 03:53:59 - HS: Data - error, no user or bad pass and 2022-11-11 03:54:38 - Web Request: /isylink/nodes/n001_hs1_v678/cmd/ON 2022-11-11 03:54:38 - HS: Data - error, not authorized This looks to me like an obvious authorization issue, but I'm stumped as to where I've gone wrong. I don't see anywhere in NodeLink to set a username and password for HomeSeer, and NodeLInk is successfully creating HS nodes in the ISY. So it seems to be in the path of the WebRequest from the ISY -> NodeLink -> Homeseer when I try to turn an HS device on or off from an ISY node. Do you have any network resources besides IFTTT that use DNS URL's out on the internet? If so, you might try those and see if you're having issues with any other services/servers, or if the problem is specific to your IFTTT requests.

This pack of network resources will control your ESP32-based Dingtian IOT Relay (found here in the 4 channel version). For two channel, just delete the extra network resources, and for 8, just copy and adjust the channel number in the URL. These relays have some pretty cool features, like scheduling, and configurable actions on trigger input. The inputs can also be monitored via http (GUI or http calls), but these network resources simply control the on/off state the of the relays. These boards are superior to the Nuvoton M0517LBN based relay boards you can find all over Amazon and ebay, as the Dingtian IOT Relays have a configurable MAC address, rather than a fixed MAC address that is duplicated on every Nuvoton M0517LBN based relay board. This means you can have more than one Dingtian IOT Relay board on your network. They have both an onboard RJ45 LAN port and WiFi. As these are based on ESP32 WROOM32D chipsets, you can also program them yourself using their SDK, or in theory roll your own customer firmware using standard ESP32 coding (similar to Arduino). I was having issues last night, but I made two changes and got it working. 1.) First I tried updating my URL to match the current IFTTT documentation, adding the word "json" and giving it a dummy json payload: /trigger/projector_on/json/with/key/ - This had no immediate effect (if any) 2.) Second, I tried changing my DNS in the ISY System/Network Settings to use 4.2.2.1 instead of 8.8.8.8, rebooted, and was back in business.

These sample ISY network resources can be used to launch PowerShell scripts on a Windows host that can speak to guests are your gate, welcome you home, inform you if the garage door has been left open, etc. You can create scripts that are as simple or as complex as you'd like. I have attached a pair of simple scripts that announce if your garage door is open or closed. I have also attached a rather complex set of scripts and supporting files that when triggered by a Weigand Access Controller will grab the swipe log from the Access Controller, parse it, and use that to announce a customer welcome to that specific gate user, as well as inform them if rain is expected (based off .json forecast data from Weather Underground). To launch PowerShell scrips remotely, you will need to make sure the scripts are in your $PATH, and configure PSExec from Microsoft's PSTools collection to allow for remote execution. You will also need to replace the basic authentication in these network resources with username and password for your Windows host. Possibly on Android, but make sure you have the right frequency reader to match your phone's capabilities. I tried on iPhone and gave up, as Apple seems to have that functionality locked down. Instead I carefully cut a thin RFID card into a circle around the coil, and then gently sanded it down as thin as I could without damaging it, then placed the RFID on the inside back of my iPhone case. Work great! No app required. -
You are very welcome! I have mine set up with different modes in my Home Theatre. I have a KeypadLinc 8 button module with buttons for "Movie" "XBOX" "Party" etc., and programs that set the lighting, Turn on the XBOX, etc., and set the Yahama receiver to the appropriate settings for that mode. Movie mode wakes the Yahama and XBOX, for example, and sets the Yamaha to use straight through DTS with HDMI (calling Scene 1), whereas Party Mode uses 7 ch stereo and starts playing music from s NAS sharing my music library via DLNA.

Here is a simple network resource I created to wake up your XBOX ONE (and possibly other models) via LAN. As you may know, the XBOX ONE does not use standard Wake on LAN (WOL), but it can be woken from its blissful slumber with this network resource. All you need to do to configure this resource is to first login to your XBOX, go to Settings -> System -> Console Info, and grab your "Xbox network device ID, then replace the dummy ID in the resource body with your own. Once you have that as text on your computer, copy and paste it into the body of "XBOX-ONE_Wake" and CAREFULLY replace the existing text "FD002149D1000000" with your own Xbox network device ID. DO NOT replace, delete or disrupt the surrounding special characters. It's important NOT to delete any of the other existing text in the body, and the surrounding text is both required and difficult to undo if you mess it up, as they are special characters your host computer may not be happy working with. Just be careful to only highlight and replace the sample ID number FD002149D1000000, and just delete it and re-import the file to try again if you have to. NOTE: You may need to send the command up to 5 times to wake the console, as it uses UDP which does not retry dropped packets like TCP commands will. So basically you need to repeat the network resource call in your program several times to manually retry instead of relying of TCP to retry the transmission at the network level. XBOX-ONE_wake.zip

I have mapped out the basic controls for the Wiegand WG26 four door access controllers commonly found on Amazon, etc., under the brands such as UHPPOTE and WGACCESS, and is known as the model WG2004 (which all use the same software from www.wiegand.cn). These use standard Wiegand WG26 keypad/RFID controllers and can be integrated with an ISY/Polisy environment via network resources to control the doors. I use a WG2004 for my front gate entry and exit, along with my garage door. I also plan to integrate Door 04 to trigger unlocking my Kwikset Zwave lock via a contact closure monitored by the ISY. These devices are also commonly used for access control for commercial buildings, etc., as they use keypads which do not provide direct contact closures to open the door, but send a serialized code via WG26 protocol to the central controller, which then validates the access granted to the keycode or RFID code, opening the door controls from relays located on the central controller board. Integrating these with your ISY/Policy is a way to use keypads and RFID, as well as control from your ISY via any other method you devise. Note on Authentication: The WG2004 does not use standard authentication, but rather uses a login via an HTTP POST/PUT command into the username and password text what are meant to be the GUI text input fields. As a result, you must always use the login network resources first, followed by the network resources you wish to activate, such as the door control. For example, an ISY program to open Door 01 from the WG2004 would first call the network resource "WGAccess_Wiegand_WG26_Control_Login" (which serves as the authentication for the session) and then "WGAccess_Wiegand_WG26_Access_Control_D01" which issues the actual command to open Door 01. Change your Password: The body of "WGAccess_Wiegand_WG26_Control_Login" is set to "pwd=abc&body=123" assuming a username of "abc" and password of "123" (which are defaults for the WG2004). Once you set your own username and password on the WG2004, please update them in the body of the "WGAccess_Wiegand_WG26_Control_Login" network resource. Note on assigning users to the WG2004. Users can be added to the WG2004 via WGACCESS software from www.wiegand.cn, or from the web GUI on the WG2004. Using the examples provided here, you could also likely create network resources to add/remove users from the WG2004 via the ISY (or more likely the Polisy), but I have not had the need to delve into that yet. I have mapped out the controls for the family 8 and 16 Channel Relay Module Boards which are built using Nuvoton MO517LBN ARM microcontrollers with ENC28J60 ethernet controllers, which are found under various names/brands on Amazon, etc. (NC800, SainSmart, Bewinner, etc.) These all use the Nuvoton M0517LBN ARM microcontroller with an ENC28J60 ethernet chip. You can also get the 16 channel controller boards (OP, but no relays) on ebay for as low at $7.95, which control up to 16 relays (16 channel relay boards that take these controllers are also easily available on Amazon). Note that while the M0517LBN based Web Relays seem to be very stable when being controlled via ISY network resources, they can be quite unstable when accessing them via a Web browser (e.g. Chrome), so I recommend avoiding that as much as possible. Notes on Port/Routing:Please note that these from what I have seen these Nuvoton M0517LBN based relay boards ALWAYS use port 80 (e.g. 192.168.1.10:80) and changing the "port" via the network settings does NOT actually change the TCP/IP port. The default "port" 30000 is not actually the TCP/IP port at all, but rather the prefix of the URL for the REST API commands. For example, the default for turning on all relays is 192.168.1.10:80/30000/45, but if you change the "port" from 30000 to 40000, all you actually do is change the URL to 192.168.1.10:80/40000/45, while port 80 remains the same (note, since port 80 is always the default for HTTP, both "192.168.1.10:80/30000/45" and "192.168.1.10/30000/45" are effectively the same URL, with or without specifying port 80.) This means you can set up port forwarding from a router, using port 80 from the NC800, and forwarding that to any port you choose. But note that the ENC28J60 based relays typically have no security, so they will be wide open to the Internet. So just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Best to keep yours safely behind your firewall/router, and let your ISY/Polisy control it via the wider world. Changing network settings:You can change the TCP/IP network address via a web browser at the following URL (assuming the device has default IP address 192.168.1.10)http://192.168.0.92/30000/41 Beware! It seems that many of these Muvoton M0517LBN based units, regardless of the manufacturer, use the same MAC address (54:55:58:10:00:24), which means you cannot have more than one of them on your network. The issue seems to be that while the ENC28J60 ethernet controller is capable of using unique MAC addresses, the manufactures of these devices simply use a common code flash on the M0517LBN ARM chips that all specify the very same MAC address (54:55:58:10:00:24). The ENC28J60 data sheet does specifically state that "Users of the ENC28J60 must generate a unique MAC address for each controller used," so the use of a common MAC for all these devices is the result of a programming deficiency, not a limitation of the ENC28J60 ethernet controller. If anyone has one of these units and you find that it has a different MAC address than 54:55:58:10:00:24, please let us know which model you have, as that may open the door for multiple of these units to be on the same network. Hi, I have mapped out what I believe to be fairly complete coverage of the Yamaha RX-V679 home theatre reciever, which I believe should be applicable to other similar Yamaha receivers of that generation. It covers: - System wide controls (Power on/off, Party Mode) - Main Zone power, volume, mute, surround modes, sources, etc. - Zone 2 power, volume, sources - Play Controls for all sources, including sample Tuner controls There are a LOT of network resources required to cover everything, so I've divided them up into more easily consumable files, which you can import based on your particular needs (no reason to waste resources on functions/sources you don't plan to use). I have also packaged up the entire set of controls in the file "Yamaha RG-Vxxx Complete.zip." I assume that different Yamaha models of this generation may have varying number of HDMI inputs, AV inputs, etc. from the RX-V679, so depending on your specific receiver you may need to customize the specifics to your unit, such as deleting or adding sources, surround modes, etc. Please note that in addition to the standard Web GUI you can control by going to your Yamaha's URL (e.g. http://192.168.0.71), you can also access a more in-depth advanced config GUI that gives you all manner of options. Simply add /Setup to your URL (e.g. http://192.168.0/71/Setup). Enjoy!
