Well, I could not restore the device forom eisy. There was no action when I issued the restore after starting linking. I decided to activate the 994i and see if the sensor was operating correctly and it had behavior, just like I have on the eisy. However I could restore the device on the 994i and then it worked and populated the display on the 994i/eisy. The program that the condition of the door open was also corrupted in the eisy. I finally deleted it and created a new series and it now works. . I did notice during the whole troubleshooting time that when the door is opened I get another light that is dimmed and on ..... flashes bright and then goes back to the dimmed state. I must have a link somewhere that is wrong. I'll have to try and figure that out also.

OK the put into linking mode explains how I got a leak and a motion sensor and the door open sensor into the admin console. I have the 3 sensors in front of me in my kitchen with a dozen dual mode switches within 15 feet. I have UD mobile active on my phone to display the status of the devices and the leak detecter shows that it is active when I place it on a wet sponge. It resets as I hit the set button, just like it should. both UD mobile and the console follow exactly. The motion detecter only shows active in UD mobile. The admin console shows nothing. If I stop and start the admin console while the motion is still active it still shows no state. The open close sensor shows no activity in either UD mobile or the admin console even though I switch it. I see the lights activate but nothing populates in either mobile or admin console. I also have my switches set to blink when there is activity and when I open and close the door switch the indicators blink as expected.

I just upgraded to Eisy, with some problems, but my switches seem to be operating correctly with the programs I have. So that is good. I have about 70 devices including quite a few RF only devices. I have a few water sensors and finally got one to go by seeming not following the Sensor install dropdown. I'm now trying to get a 2845 open door sensor installed. The system recognizes the sensor If I put it in liking mode and add the address to the dropdown to add the sensor. If I don't put it in linking mode the software says it doesn't recognize the Insteon engine. With linking mode active the software recognizes the sensor, the battery and the heartbeat siblings but fails to set the device display correctly with the status of the switch. So it is added but does not function. Is there a special procedure that I need to do or something I failed to do during the upgrade.

I opened a ticket and it appears that my old iMac system that I used for the admin console was not creating the correct or at least the current desired backup file from my 994i. Problem solved..

I have purchased a eisy and installed it. A few deviations from the script but I am unable to restore the isy994i backup to the eisy. Originally the app complained about not getting to the file that I had it on my iCloud Drive. I think I have my portal licenses set as I see both units with my ISY Portal login. It appears that I can back the eisy up and restore from a java/IoX Launcher. I installed current version on a MacBook Air (with the M chip) and loaded the appropriate java and the IoX Launcher. I see both the isy and eisy from my app and the launcher. The isy is at latest code 5.3 version and the eisy is 5.8. I can successfully backup the eisy to the iCloud Drive and I appears to also restore it. When I attempt the restore of the eisy it doesn't complain but it goes away from the app and I must add it again. I must have some permissions wrong or I don't understand the process. I searched the forum but any vague searches return too many hits or I just may not be asking the right argument to find my answer.

In the "IF" line in my program I had the status of the door sensor is "ON" then run the program.. Do you mean that in the "IF' line I should I change 'STATUS" to "Control" and that is another way to run the program without the second program??

I'm new to ISY, although I have had a 994 installed for 5 years. My original Insteon hub crapped out so I migrated some 60 devices to the 994 and I'm trying to get a simple timed program to work. I'm sure it's a simple solution but I can't find any relevant forum entries. Might be I don't know what keyword I should be using so I'll ask the question. I want a hidden door sensor to tuen on an overhead light at the door, turn on a lamplic module in a closet and a foyer light on some stairs. Then wait 3 minutes and turn off the entry light and the closet light and 30 seconds later turn off the foyer light. It works except if the door is kept open. if the door is closed before the program runs its course nothing happens after 3 minutes. So I'm guessing that I need to have an entry to ignore the hidden door switch closed. But I can't see how to do that. This is what I have. Family room entry - [ID 000A][Parent 0001] If 'Family Rom / Family Rm - Door Open' Status is On Then Set 'Family Rom / Family room entry' Fade Up Set 'Family Rom / Family room Closet' On 100% Set 'Foyer / Foyer Light (top sw)' On 40% Wait 3 minutes Set 'Family Rom / Family room Closet' Off Set 'Family Rom / Family room entry' Fade Down Wait 30 seconds Set 'Foyer / Foyer Light (top sw)' Fade Down Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') When Family room Door opens, the entry light, closet light and foyer light is turned on for 3 minutes

Ding, Ding, Dung...... we have a winner. Looks like when I started my first programing attempt I used the folder, My Programs. There was an if condition present with Sunset.. Once I started reading the doc I generated actual separate entries under "My Programs'. Not knowing that the folder contents were critical to the whole process. Noob mistake. Looks as you predicted. Thanks for helping me. I am somewhat relieved that you guys didn't solve this in one post. I tried to do the research before posting.. OK, y Folder is False. I don't see where I change that.. I have to go out will look again at this tommorrow.

I am an old Insteon user. I have about 70 devices. I bought and installed a 994i about 6 years ago to migrate off my original Insteon hub. I used the 994i to control a few new devices in a back garage and when I started to add existing devices the text advised me to reset all existing links to eliminate half links, etc. Because I have many keypads and lots of scenes with over lapping devices I decided that I would complete the transition when the hub failed. Obviously my hub has failed and after Insteon abruptly going away I decided it was now time transition to the 994i. I updated the admin console and the 994i to 5.3.4 and got the UD app operational so I can work with devices using my iMac and my iPhone. I set my first program to set a few lights on at sunset and another to turn off some of them at 9:30 PM and the remaining at sunrise. Anything I set into the sunset program lights but none of my other programs turn off anything. in fact if I make another program to turn another light on it will not run. I see in the 'Program Summary' page on the admin console that every program I make shows a status of 'False' except my 'Sunset' program and it show 'True'. I read through as much doc as I can handle on program creation and troubleshooting but can't find an answer. False according to the doc says I haven't met the conditions for starting the program. all programs are enabled.. I give, Help!
