  1. Techman, Thanks for all your help. I followed the instructions from your post and after going through my java settings and setting it up according to the article, I was able to create an IoX Launcher on my desktop. All is great. Again many thanks for your assistance.
  2. Techman, Since I couldn't run start.jnlp, I didn't have a IOX Launcher created. I just now looked at my one save in my backup directory and see the target field shows "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_451\bin\javaws.exe" -localfile -J-Djnlp.application.href=https://isy.universal-devices.com/launcher/isy.jnlp "C:\Users\Joel\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\14\7f87040e-2e6e8a70"
  3. Techman, Before I started all of this I save my iox launcher icon on my desktop to a folder I keep for emergencies. I brought that icon back to my desktop and I am able to connect to my eisy now.
  4. Opens with field shows Unknown application.
  5. Techman, Thanks for the reply. Yes my java is on 1.8.0_45. I have cleared Java cache again then downloaded the ioX launcher using this link: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp. Again when attempting to run start.jnlp, my computer asks me for the program to use to open it. I choose javaws.exe and nothing happens.
  6. I run the upgrade packages from the configuration tab on my eisy. Got the message to reboot which I did. I cleared java cache (all 3 boxes checked) while system was rebooted. I then downloaded the a new start.jnlp file. (https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp). When I try to run the start.jnlp file I am asked what program to use. I told it to open with javaws.exe but nothing happens. I am on Windows 11 Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Thanks Paul. That was one of the first things I did. I found an old Launch shortcut then changed the properties to point to the correct version of java and it worked and let me run the admin interface on the eisy. Very much appreciate your response. Thanks
  8. Just upgraded Java and downloaded start.jnlp. Now I can't open the admin console on my eisy. I cleared the java cache (all three boxes checked) and attempted to run start.jnlp with the java web launcher but nothing happens. It's been some time since I have done this so I don't know if something has changed or not. I am running windows 11.
  9. @larryllix I don't know about java or the admin console, but in other programming languages they would write that information to a system environmental variable the when the console loads would read that and set the font size accordingly. Also changing the font size would update the system environmental variable with the new value. I'll leave the java programming to someone who is expert at it.
  10. @larryllix I agree it would be nice if they could find a way to store and reuse the font settings in the admin console. As for using 2 gb of memory it won't cause me any issue as I have 32 gb of ram in my system. Thanks for your help and wisdom.
  11. Geddy Thanks for your reply. That clears up what was going on for me. The original 32,764 came from the temporary java cache files. I updated the java tab to reflect the values you provided. I am running a Windows 11 PC with 32 GB of ram so there should be no problem. I too only have the admin console open when I am working on something. Thanks for clarifying that information.
  12. Thanks Larryllx I checked the memory that java was using and it is currently at 32,764 mb. At least now I know that I am going to have to reset the text size or get a magnifying glass.
  13. Does anyone know why the Admin Console Text Size reverts to default after setting the new text size to a larger number?
  14. shergenr I just recently upgraded from an isy994i to the eisy. I bought the serial plm cable and then used a 10 foot usb extension cable to connet the plm to eisy. It has worked perfectly and I have had no issues with it. Don't know about a specific length, but I hope this may help.
  15. Thanks to all who responded to my inquiry. The situation is now resolved and the new keypadlinc is working correctly. thanks
