  1. That capacitor in the link is out of stock except for pack of 5 blue. Anyway that does not seem to help solve the issue. The real solution is for me to abandon the expensive $300 led fixture and/or dimmer switch in favour of something younger than 5 years old! So after all the testing over two days I have given up on the eisy plus on/off module plus motion sensor I and the plm with usb interface. Smart Home devices should not be hard to set up. For example after this testing I moved the PLM to another spot (was in a surge protector) and now the comms to the on/off module fail.
  2. If I remove the on/off module from the receptacle then there is no interference with the ceiling light). If I attach the on/off module to the receptacle and manually keep the unit in the OFF state then whenever the motion sensor gets triggered I do get the ceiling light interference (no programs running). I do not have other Insteon devices at this time, so cannot check their interference. I therefore conclude that the on/off module is communicating with the eisy - but why if I do not command it to do so? Does the on/off module behave as a repeater of the sensor rf?
  3. I have a Insteon Motion sensor 1 device that correctly detects motion and sends a signal which my program will then send on ON command ot a ON/OFF receptacle (which has a LED strip light plugged into it). Every time that the sensor is triggered the led ceiling light (about 3m away) will flicker and then stops. Now this sounds like the RF being sent out by the motion sensor is affecting the ceiling LED light - but is there a work around? For example should I insert a wait period after the command to turn on or off the ON/OFF device? In doing some searching it appears the RF is 915 Mhz?
  4. Thanks for the suggestion. I use OpenWebStart to run Start.jnlp with the OpenJdk: WHICH STILL DOES NOT LAUNCH THE ADMIN CONSOLE. I have now tried http://eisy.local:8080/admin.jnlp with the OpenWebStart and it successfully opens the admin console on my Win10 PC. I shall now try the next stage of development using the eisy. For others: OpenWebStart is from Karakun (I use version 1.11.0) from: https://openwebstart.com/ OpenJdk from: https://openjdk.org/projects/jdk/23/
  5. As others have posted IoX (from start.jnlp) finds the eisy. But when attempt to launch admin console (lan or cloud) there is no response except that nothing else can be done. In my case I have to use OpenJdk for the Java web start and therefore for any subsequent java programs. (version is 23.02 from OpenJdk). Not sure how I can debug this issue further to find cause. Eisy has fw version 5.8.4 Using wifi - setup via the UdMobile app - ok. I have been able to use UDMobile to detect an off/on module ok. Not sure how to get admin console to run in order to setup scenes etc. I used ISY994i in the past so maybe my logic is still buried in the past! Any hints from dev team?
