  1. I've landed here after searching about Powerwall 3, Insteon, and flickering. My Powerwall was installed a couple of months ago and I've seen comm. issues and flickering since. The comm issues are minor esp. compared to the flickering. I'm not sure which is the bigger stress'r: all the flickering or a family member who wants me to get Tesla back here to yank out the PW3 and restore things to they way they were. I contacted Tesla Energy and after five or six attempts (using their online support) I eventually called and spoke to someone. Long story short they told me the Insteon devices are not compatible with the Powerwall and that I should go buy Lutron dimmers. Not exactly what I wanted to hear. I've installed many Insteon devices over the years and found their system handy especially when coupled with the automation features of the EISY + PLM. I don't want to give that up however I am willing to put in some money to replace problematic Insteon dimmers esp. if I can quiet down some of the flickering and noise. I've read all posts in this thread (probably twice) but I only know EISY+Insteon+PLM. Some posts have mentioned dimmer devices by other vendors that use other protocols (ZWave/Zigbee/Matter) but I'm not clear: do these work with EISY and can I control them from various Insteon devices? Is the PLM sufficient to talk to these? I'd like to continue to have my Insteon keypad buttons turn on and off some of the dimmers I'd need to replace, would that still work (I've now read too many search results but somewhere there was mention that ZWave devices don't work with scenes)? When I look at one of the vendors (INovelli) their web site does not mention UD EISY as a compatible controller (in fact their AI-bot says it is not supported). Thanks. Trying to get a handle on how big an expense solving this flickering issue could be. Seems like the easier battle to win esp. given how poor Tesla Energy is at support.
  2. Thanks Guy, I am looking forward to receiving the Eisy and will give this a try.
  3. To test I have been using ON and OFF (or Fast On and Fast Off) for the scene in UD Mobile.
  4. Apologies for my confusion, all this time and I never noticed that the Java program itself is called IOX and so I was looking for a tab or button called iox. I entered the program (for my scene which is named "Welcome Home") but I think that it will turn on that Scene in the dusk to dawn interval and turn it off in the dawn to dusk interval. That is not exactly what I am looking for. What I want is that when I go into UD Moble and tell it to turn on "Welcome Home" it will disobey me during daylight hours but will obey me when it is dark. Conversely if in UD Mobile I tell it to set "Welcome Home" to "OFF" I want that to always work no matter the time of day. In a similar manner if I setup that scene in a UD Mobile Geofence to turn on "Welcome Home" it should turn on the lights if I drive into the GeoFence around my home and it is dark but not turn them on during the daytime. I am setting here typing this and my Welcome Home scene just activated. Makes sense as it just turned dusk here.
  5. I suspect I am *way* off course as I have no IOX and am only seeing this (which I got to via the start.jnlp):
  6. Nice, I'll give it a try when the EISY arrives (apparently not available in the older ISY994i). Thank you for such a detailed and quick reply!
  7. I have a scene that includes a subset of lights in the house. I would like to make this scene so that I can: always turn it off at any time of day only turn it on from dusk to dawn Is there a way to do this? It does not appear that a scene can trigger a program, so that is out. I only use the scenes directly or via UD Mobile Geofencing and have no buttons (controllers) that can kick off a program. Currently I use an ISY994i (v5.3.4) but I do have an EISY on order, perhaps the new device has the capability? TIA
