So in the "Linking in Progress" screen I'll select "Remove existing links" and this won't affect any of the other switches, links or scenes that are already set up for other devices ?

Still Noob at this. Determined one switch was not operating (Front Yard - Garage SL). Tried to reset it. No luck. Bought a replacement 2477S switch. Physically removed old switch and wired in the new switch. Now I'm trying to program it to the system. I read the section in the cookbook but I'm not sure which of the choices I should use. I want to keep all of the original switches, links and scenes in place, just install the one new switch into the system. I painted myself into a corner with the "Linking in Progress" forcing me to choose one option. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like I can replace it myself. What do I need to do to take the old switch out of the system and code the new switch in?

I've waiting for delivery of a new 2477S switch. Is this something I can replace myself or is it complicated ? I have basic skills but usually leave electrical stuff to the qualified.

The LED bar graph on the switch stopped working and the tactile feeling of the switch is different - less range of motion and no definitive detent felt. And the other 2476ST that's connected to this circuit flashes a red light in the middle of the bar graph when I try and use it to actuate the circuit.

Okay bought a 2477S switch. Now going through all of the programming. Wow, there's a lot to learn.

Okay I found the problem. One of the Insteon switches is no longer communicating. It's a 2476ST, a switch with the timer. I tried looking for a replacement, but they are discontinued. Is there another Insteon switch I can use in its place or better yet a newer version of with a timer function?

I got it. After I added the URL In Iox Finder. I got to the login screen. admin/admin and Viola !! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. !

Thanks for all of your information. I have a PC, downloaded Java (Didn't have it before). The ISY is connected by ethernet. By logging into the router, I found the IP address (192.168.0.13) and the MAC address (00:21:b9:02:3d:d1). I've tried using the Ip address in my browser and get a connection refused message. I tried the UD Launcher (my.isy.io) and it comes up and shows a red X in front of the MAC address under the UUID heading. I go to tools and select ISY Web Access and get an Error message ISY is not online. And Iox Finder shows :Not Found

Help. We bought a house with an ISY994i controller that controls everything. The old owner said he doesn't remember how to access it. There are numerous lights, timers, pumps and other utilities controlled by the ISY994i. Is there any way to access the device? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
