  1. I had a similar issue and found I "Restore Device" on all my devices did the trick of putting the correct links back into the PLM. Also had to delete and re-add some scene controllers too.
  2. Maybe that is the missing link, The devices are in a folder. I will give that a shot. Thanks Stusviews.
  3. Ok. Guess i got it confused with something else. Would be a nice feature.
  4. I thought we used to be able to check the status of a scene in programming 99i.. Is that not possible anymore in the 994i or was I mistaken?
  5. Since I have not added the new switch yet this is the reason I am not seeing the "Replace" command anywhere that I right click on another similar device? In other words, I have to add a new switch first to activate the "Replace" option because otherwise I am not seeing it. That was my reason for asking. In the 99i I could always see the replace command on all the devices. Now I don't with my 994i.
  6. I used to see the option on the menu for the device to "Replace" an old device with a new one. But in 994i I am not seeing it like I saw it in my 99. How do you replace an old switch with a new one now in 994i?
  7. I too had to replace my PLM from SH. Just like everyone else said. It worked for years just fine. Then all of a sudden comms problems. Got a new PLM and everthing is fine again.
  8. When I first booted up my 994 I thought I was being arrested by the police. The brightness on those LEDs is ridiculous. I used tape over mind that but that blacks out everything. I will definitly check out these LightDims because my wife also complains about other LEDs in the house being too bright. Thanks for the suggestion.
  9. Oh I see. Ok thanks.
  10. Also I think I misunderstood what the Enable/Disable feature was for a device. I thought it meant that if I disabled a device, it would ignore insteon commands in a scene but you could leave the device in a scene. I had a fiber optic projector in a scene and I didn't want to keep firing it up every time I tested the scene. But when I disabled the projector it didn't seem to ignore the scene commands so I just had to leave that device out of the scene till I was done testing.
  11. Yes I was talking about button groupings. I was trying to make mutex buttons by using a scene and I was also trying to adjust the LED directly using the LED Brightness in the KPL button section. When I try to do that I get a "Request Failed" message.

    Change IRLinc Toggle

That sucks. It would be a great enhancement for SH to do that. How about in the ISY with the IR option?
  13. Is there anyway to change an IRLinc button from a toggle button to a non toggle button after it has been learned?
  14. Michel, That was my assumption as well. So how do you reconcile the guidance in the Group dialog for mutex buttons that says: "It is highly recommended that button groupings are migrated through Scenes by adjusting respective On Levels. By doing so correct status of the buttons are also reflected in ISY regardless of their groupings" In my scenes, the secondary buttons don't show up as something that can be adjusted. Is the disconnect for me because my switches don't support this of setting On Levels feature so that is why they don't show up in the scene as a device that I can affect the LED levels with?
  15. Michel, Yes that all works just fine. The only time I ever get that message is only when I try to set the LED brightness. Also i am on the latest firmware too. That is why I think it had something to do with the version of the KPL I have. I should mention this is on the secondary buttons and not the main load button if it makes a difference.
