  1. My i/o linc I've had a couple of years seemed to quit working with ISY a day or two ago. At linc itself, pushing button switches as it should. I can't add it to ISY. I've tried resetting, moving it to where PLM and it are on same outlet, installed the latest version of admin control, have latest version of java with no old files. each time i get the old cannot determine insteon engine. I've tried adding it manually and by linking automatically, with same results. Thinking i/o linc may have stopped working in this capacity. Here's event log for what it's worth: Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:31 AM : [23 d3 47 ] Added to list of devices to link to ISY Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:31 AM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 23 D3 47 0F 0D 00 Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:31 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 23.D3.47 0F 0D 00 06 (00) Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:40 AM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 23 D3 47 0F 0D 00 Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:40 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 23.D3.47 0F 0D 00 06 (00) Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:49 AM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 23 D3 47 0F 0D 00 Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:49 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 23.D3.47 0F 0D 00 06 (00) Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:53 AM : [23 D3 47 0 ] Failed to add device, reason 3 Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:53 AM : [All ] Writing 9 bytes to devices Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:53 AM : [2E 93 49 1 ] Link 5 : 0FD0 [620223D347010002] Writing [62..............] Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:53 AM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 2E 93 49 1F 2F 00 00 02 0F D7 08 62 02 23 D3 47 01 00 02 3D Thu 07/14/2016 11:18:53 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 2E.93.49 1F 2F 00 00 02 0F D7 08 62 02 23 D3 47 01 00 02 3D 06 (00) Thu 07/14/2016 11:19:02 AM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 2E 93 49 1F 2F 00 00 02 0F D7 08 62 02 23 D3 47 01 00 02 3D Thu 07/14/2016 11:19:02 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 2E.93.49 1F 2F 00 00 02 0F D7 08 62 02 23 D3 47 01 00 02 3D 06 (00) Thu 07/14/2016 11:19:11 AM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 2E 93 49 1F 2F 00 00 02 0F D7 08 62 02 23 D3 47 01 00 02 3D Thu 07/14/2016 11:19:11 AM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 2E.93.49 1F 2F 00 00 02 0F D7 08 62 02 23 D3 47 01 00 02 3D 06 (00) Thu 07/14/2016 11:19:15 AM : [2E 93 49 1 ] Link 5 : 0FD0 [620223D347010002] *Failed Writing [62..............] I just replaced the PLM a couple of weeks ago and it is 2413S ver 2.2 The i/o linc is 2450 V2.3 I've tried plugging in the i/o on both sides of my house phases with same results. Not sure if there is anything else to try. And in case you wanted to ask, it wasn't/isn't listed in the device listing under network. Any help appreciated. thx
  2. Thanks for the help.
  3. OK, newbie. I have a SLR a KPL6 and a SLD loaded into ISY. I want to link a button (the first small one) to the SLD in ISY but I don't see how to drag and drop or whatever I need to do. I thought I could do all the linking within ISY. help. thx
  4. I was using a pointed object to press the reset on the isy itself as addressed in the user guide
  5. Well, disregard. I guess the first two I tried we complex as the rest are deleting in a reasonable time.
  6. I may be missing something, but I have about 70 devices and 30-40 scenes and when I go to remove a device it seems to take quite a while....and that's only one. Am I going about this wrong or is there a faster way to wipe it all out and start over. If I try to reset the isy, it still shows up the devices and scenes.
  7. I just installed an ISY99i with PLM and started adding devices. Now I have a lot of devices with all sorts of links that I'm not sure about. Is there a way to unlink everything or drop all the devices and start over? Not sure how to proceed.
  8. I am getting a socket open failed java.net.connectexception error often and don't know what is causing it. I look in my router settings and it shows the isy there. I haven't changed any settings so don't know what is causing it. I turned off windows firewall and it still happens. Also get a XML parse error behind it. any help appreciated. I have windows 7 64b.
