  1. Thanks Michel. I am just going to regenerate and re-import the lighting data file in ELK. If there is a mapping change, I will update all the rules in ELK which are referring to old devices for which mapping may have changed. Regards, MKG
  2. Thanks Michel for the info. I imported the lighting data into ELK many years ago. I do not have a copy of the old "ELK Export File". Is there another way to change the address, for selected devices, directly on ELK using ElkRP? Also, I noticed that ElkRP provides an option as "Clear All Lighting". I can use that option to clear all existing lighting data and then upload a new file using option "Import Lighting Data". If I do re-import the data in Elk, will it get the same Device ID (eg. "14 (A14)") in Elk for all those Insteon devices for which "devices address" has not changed, however, the name may have changed? Regards, MKG
  3. I am using ISY994 (without ELK Module) and "ELK M1 Gold". Few years ago, I generated an "ELK Export File" and imported it in ELK. I am using ELK to control some Insteon switches and keys (on KeyPad). I am thinking to regenerate the "ELK Export File" and re-import it in ELK. My questions are: One of the Insteon Keypad died. Some of its keys are referred in rules on ELK. I am going to replace this keypad. Will I be able to update the ELK rules to refer new keys? Names of some devices have been changed. These devices are used in ELK rules. Will ELK rule automatically show the new name (assuming the device address has not changed)? Some devices in the last export file have been removed. Will those still be displayed in ELK? Are there any other issues I should take care before re-importing the data in ELK? I would just prefer to overwrite everything on the ELK side. Thanks! MKG
  4. I restored one KPL. No change. It still says that the device type is 6-button KPL. Any other idea? If not, I think I will need to: Delete the device Add it as a "New Insteon Device" - using a pre-defined device type (and not used "Auto Discover") Re-program/configure everything. Please let me know if there is a better idea to recover from this situation. Thanks! MKG
  5. Techman, Thanks for the info. KPLs are already in 8-button mode. Each of the key can be turned on/off individually. About restoring the device - where is the info about device type is stored? If this info is also coming from the ISY database then will that make a change? Thanks!
  6. Thanks for your response. These KPLs were installed more than 8 years ago! At least one of them was installed by a contractor. I am not sure if there were 6-button or 8-button, originally. But, they have been working fine as 8-button KPLs before the upgrade. I am using "ISY994 Administrator Console" and both firmware and UI are at version 5.3.4 (as per the "About" pop-up).
  7. I recently upgraded firmware on my ISY 994i from version 4.9.0 to 5.34. Upgrade went fine and most of the devices (including Insteon motion sensors) are working fine. Very simple upgrade process! Thanks!! The only issue I found that device type for couple of Insteon KPLs is wrong. ISY is reporting that the device type for both KPLs is "(2486D) KeypadLinc Dimmer 6 Buttons v.39". However, these are 8-button KPLs. Now, this is causing problem in creating new programs or updated existing programs. For example, while checking status of a key, the only possible values are "on" or "off" and not like "50%". What is the least painful way to reconfigure these KPLs? I would like to avoid/minimize reprogram everything again. Thanks!
  8. I searched all the relevant forums, but unable to find an answer to this.. I have a "ISY-99i" (w/PLM) and I would like a upgrade it to a model of "ISY-994" which can be integrate with my PGE SmartMeter such that I can monitor my electric usage in real-time. My questions are: Which model of "ISY-994i" I need to buy? What will I need to do to integrate it with PGE SmartMeter? Thanks! --Mike
