This has happened ever since I was using my 994i, and through to the upgrade to using EISY. Since the old modem on 994i died it was replaced, and then replace again when I upgraded to EISY - so the error was present in all three configurations. The EISY is connected via USB to the PLM. Always running macOS, currently 15.01 Checked: PLM Powered on + green light. Shut down EISY and PLM, unplugged both, and rebooted Clear Jave cache, reinstall IoX Launcher, launch EISY, pick random device, change PLM retries, still get the error. Checked PLM info/status - Connected Ran "upgrade packages", and rebooted when told to do so. Tested again, still fails

When attempting to change/modify the PLM Communication, I always get this error on any Insteon device, how do I fix (or just keep ignoring?) Could not open config file to read [./FILES/CONF/INSTENG.OPT]

Thanks guys - I appreciate the pointers. I understand what you're saying, and it makes perfect sense. I'm just not familiar with how to use the Admin Console to actually do that. As I said, I have to learn more about the admin controls and how to create a scene with two controllers - as I have rarely seen the dialogue that pops up that asks you to select whether what your adding to the scene is to be a responder or a controller. Once I learn how to do that, the rest will fall into place. Cheers

As I said - I haven't a clue how to finish the other half of what I've done...I think it's similar to a two way switch - but I'm lost in the terminology and hidden nuances in the interface when programming it in the Admin Console. I'll look at further examples of two-way switches and play around with that, as I don't know how to make a light switch a controller of a keypad button yet - especially using the Admin Console.

PLM 2412S 2413S Is there a reason (other than price & availability) to choose one over the other? I know the 2412S can provide the power for the ISY-99 - so one less wall wart I guess, and the 2413S is dual band. Other PLM options for use with ISY-99? Just want to understand if the ISY-99 is hindered or bound by the 2412S compared to the 2413S, before I take the plunge.
