I am trying to control the on/off of the water flow for my mister system on my patio. My thinking was to get a Electronic Water shutoff valve and control it via an Insteon device such as either a IO Link or an On/Off Outdoor Module via my ISY. What I am having problems with is the wiring and controlling it. I have an Smarthome Select Electronic Water Shutoff Valve 3/4" DC. With the IO Link, the wiring guide for the valve says green from value to IO Link NC red from valve to IO Link NO black from valve to 1 wire of my DC adapter 2nd wire from DC adapter to COM on IO Link When I do this, and I discover my IO Link and then configure it for: - LED on TX - Relay follow input - Momentary B and then turn the relay on or off, nothing happens on my valve. What am I missing here?

It goes into linking mode but my isy never sees it. Done factory reset on it and still wouldnt link. It did wworkbefore I moved.

Right, so as I mentioned I upgraded the ISY to 3.3.10, upgaded the UI to 4.0.11, THEN added all devices. I did all upgrades on the ISY and UI before I added any devices to the ISY, so all were added with 3.3.10 firmware and 4.4.11 UI straight away. Im having problems with all my KPLs not recognizing them with multiple buttons, and all of the KPLs are model 2334-222 and purchased brand new in the last 2 weeks. Additionally, now I tried to add a remotelinc2 and its not recognized at all...

So the whole history is this: I moved to a new house, so I factory reset everything, the ISY99i, the PLM, access points, switches, etc... WHen I did the factory reset of the ISY, I also upgraded to the latest and greatest version. Then I installed everything, so yes, everything was installed after the upgrade. The ISY I have had for 2+ years, the keypadlinc I have had for 1 week and they are brand new from Smarthome. Also, no there is no plus sign next to it, it looks like like a Switchlinc does.

RIght, firmware is 3.3.10 and UI is 4.0.11 I have 2 of them, 1 started out as a 6 button and I converted it to 8, and the 2nd is an 8 button, both purchased new in the last 2 weeks. I also did a factory reset on both of them this morning and tried to relink them with the same results. KeypadLinc1 = 2334-232 5 button - this was origionally a 6 button KeypadLinc but I converted it to 8. At the switch, each button acts independently of the other, so I know it is in 8 button mode. I can also turn the main light connected to the main on/offf at the switch, however, when I try to link it via the ISY I get an error saying it cant read the link table and fails. KeypadLinc2 = 2334-232 8 button - when I look at it via the ISY GUI, it shows as (2334-2) KeypadLinc Dimmer 8 Buttons v43 but I only see the 1 device, not 8 devices. I have no problem linking this KeypadLinc other than it shows as 1 device only. I can manage it via the ISY GUI but on as if it was a SwitchLinc dimmer...

I have had an ISY-99ir/PRO for several years now and had previous versions of keypadlinc. I recently purchased a new KeypadLinc (model 2334-232). WHen the ISY discovers it, it shows it as a single switch, not the 8 buttons that are there like it did in previous KeypadLincs. I am at firmware 3.3.10 and UI 4.0.11. Reading around the internet, people who have the issue as myself have basically been saying I need to upgrade to a new 994 in order to support the new keypadlinc. Is this really true? It would be both time consuming and expensive to replace my 99i with the new 994. Has ANYONE gotten a new keypadlinc to work on a 99i? If so, What am I missing/doing wrong? thanks, Jason

Thank you all I think I got it all working now.

Thank you guys for the help. I think I have this working with 1 final question: I was hoping to try to get the buttons on the keypad to light up 50% if 1 or more switches in the scene are on. So for example, Switches -GR-FloodLights (on) -GR-Light (off) Keypad Button D -KL-BD-D Keypad button D would light up 50% since 1 of those lights is on. I see how to turn the buttons on and off, but is it possible to set the button itself to only be 50% lit? What i have is: If Status 'GR-FloodLight' is on Or Status 'GR-Light' is on Then Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'Keypad-BD-D' On <--- This is what I want to set at 50% if any of the 2 switches above is on Else Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'Keypad-BD-D' Off Basically if 1 or more lights is on, light the button up 50% brightness

I have the following devices: ISY-99i IR/Pro Gameroom Patio Builtin Lights - Lights that are built into the patio for the gameroom (3 way switch) - "GR-Patio-Light-Builtin" (2477D) Switch is in the gameroom - "Shop-GR-Patio-Light-Builtin" (2477D) Switch is in the shop -Scene is called "GR-Patio-Lights-BuiltIn" and currently works as a 3 way switch were both switches are controllers and responders to each other Gameroom Patio Fan Lights - Lights that are in the fan on the gameroom patio (3 way switch) - "GR-Patio-Fan-Light" (2476S) Switch is in the gameroom - "Shop-GR-Patio-Fan-Light" (2476D) Switch is in the shop -Scene is called "GR-Patio-Fan-Light" and currently works as a 3 way switch were both switches are controllers and responders to each other What I want to do is using my keypadlinc 2 (2486D) button D be able to control all 4 of the above switches, and have button D show a light when any of these switches are on, and no light when they are not on. In addition, when I press button D, I want these lights to turn on or off, and reflect that on their switches as well.

It sounds like in order for the Keypadlinc to reflect state of those buttons I actually need to create a program such as shown here (http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... ow_Program) in order for the keypad to reflect the state of the buttons?

If I already have a 3 way switch for several lights, and want to combine them to be controlled from one keypadlinc button: Scene - GR-Floodlight - GR-Outdoor-Floodlight - Shop-Outdoor-Floodlight Scene - Visitor Lights - House-Patio-Spotlight - House-Driveway-Spotlight I want to add both scenes (or all 4 devices) to a scene controllable by a keypadlinc button. When I try to add them it says they are already part of a scene and only gives me the option to add them as a responder.

I am having a problem making my keypadlinc 2 (2486D 8 button) control a scene. What I have is this: ISY-99i Pro firmware 3.1.17 (2012-01-19-15:34:02) UI 3.1.17 (2012-01-19-15:34:02) Keypadlinc 2 (2486D 8 button) SwitchLinc (2476D) - Gameroom Light (only used as on and off, no dimmer in light) I am trying to link them so that button C on the keypad can turn this light on and off and have the state be reflected on the keypad if I turn the light on and off from the gameroom as well. When I look at the button in the UI, I see it is a controller and a responder for the scene, but when I look at the Switchlinc it is only a responder, and the On Level says applied locally and same with the ramp rate. How would I setup the switchlinc to be both controller and responder? 2nd, when I have a scene already created because of a 3 way switch, and I then want a button on the keypadlinc to control the existing scene, how do I make it controller/responder? thanks, Jason

They both now have the option to "Copy Scene Attributes...." and when i click on each switch in the scene, that particular switch shows in red and [Applied Locally]

How do I do that? What I did when I created the scene was this: - Create new scene - drag the line switch to the scene and tell it that it is the controller - drag the load switch to the scene and tell it that it is the responder When I look at the switches individually I see the folllowing: - line switch - Is Controller for - Kitchen-Light (the scene name) - Kitchen-Light-FR (the load switch) and is in blue - Is Responder to - Kitchen-Light (the scene name) - load switch - Is Controller for (nothing) - Is Responder to - Kitchen-Light (the scene name) - Kitchen-Light-BR (the line switch) and is in red

I have 2 switchlinc 2476D switches setup in a 3 way switch configuration. I did not link them from the switches themselves, I simply imported them into the ISY-99i and then created a new scene and assigned them to the scene, with the line switch being the controller and the load switch being the responder. These switches are for my kitchen light, and have a scene called "Kitchen-Light" The problem I am seeing is on the controller switch, I see the message "Copy Scene Attributes from Kitchen-Light". When I click on the responder switch I see what I expected, which is the status, on-level, Membership, etc.... In addition, if I turn the light on from the line switch, both switches reflect the correct state, however, when I turn the light on from the load switch, only the load switch reflects the correct state. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you Jason
