  1. I feel like the only Luddite on this forum still installing Insteon units, but my Smarthome Select 70276 water shutoff valve stopped working several years ago. I later purchased a Smarthome Select 70278 water shutoff valve, which has sat in a box until I finally got around to installing that along with a new Insteon 7450 I/O Linc relay. My question is, are these valves intended to be used with latching mode on the 7450, or should the action of the relay be momentary (like 20 seconds, which is the apparent open and close action duration) when power is switched between the "open" wire and "close" wire via the 7450? It would make sense that the unit would need power continuously applied to either wire, and there would be an internal position sensor which would cut off power to the actuator motor - kind of like a garage door opener. Without that, the valve might incompletely open or close with predictable results. So I am thinking that I should be using latching mode with this setup. Thanks in advance for any clarification. HLA
  2. Well, my high velocity, directional fan sits near the ceiling in the room, and ejects the hotter thinner air from above out to the foyer, and thereby moves the colder air near the floor into my office. The temperature had changed from 81 to 78, but I had done a fair amount of resetting to factory settings, reinstalling the device, and finally restoring the device during all that time. The fan just moved the temperature from 78 to 76 while I was watching. Voila' - 75.5 degrees began showing on the Administrative Console. So thanks for all the suggestions! Not sure which one was the real fix, but I suspect the actual "change" of 2 degrees, without me mucking around with factory resets, and restores and whatnot was probably the answer. Still is strange to me to see that empty "Current State" box, where the temperature should actually be displayed upon initial startup.
  3. I am currently running it off a modified USB cable, plugged into a small iPhone charger "cube" (about 5.19 volts). I have tried all options of battery, battery + external power, and external power alone. I factory reset it again, and reinstalled into ISY. It has self-cycled to "turn" the A/C on, and the displayed temperature (thanks to a fan in the room) has gone from 81 degress to 78 degrees - my stuffy, now cooling office. Screenshot attached, if that came though.
  4. I just called the Insteon support line about this. She didn't think that the 2441ZTH was "supported' on the ISY-994i, even though ISY recognizes it, installs it, and handles of few of the data elements of the wireless thermostat. She told me that she thought it would only work when linked to a Master thermostat, and not work as a standalone thermostat. The first bullet point on the Smarthome info page for this device identifies that it can work as a standalone thermostat (as a controller).
  5. I just received my 2441ZTH thermostat (on sale at Smarthome). I am also using ISY-994i, and am getting the same thing - everything is displaying (humidity, hot and cool setpoints, etc.), all except temperature. The temperature does not get sent to my console. It didn't with batteries first installed, and then I hooked up a 5 V supply to power the unit. No change (batteries, batteries plus 5 volts, 5 volts external alone). I have tried factory resetting the device, and also reinstalling it (twice) in my ISY-994i system. No changes - no ambient temperature being displayed in the "Current State" of the Administrative Console.
  6. Hi Michel- Sorry for the late reply. The T1900 has a built in humidity module. Just like MWareman, when I am in the Admin Console, and when the [Thermostat - Main] device is selected (which is a 2441V Thermostat Adapter, v.95), there is something called "Set Options" at the lower right. Upon selecting that, a "Confirm" window comes up with "Report Humidty", a checkbox (which is unchecked), and Ok/Cancel buttons. If the "Report Humditiy" checkbox is checked, and Ok is selected, the window closes. But if you reselect the "Set Options" function again, the same window opens up with the "Report Humidity" box unchecked. It simply does not stay checked. This is all despite replacing my Revision 2.2R adapters with Revision 2.4R adapters (and re-linking the adapters to my ISY-99i system). At this point, Heat/Cool State is being reported from the two thermostats, and it also appears that Humidity is being reported to the ISY-99i (for display to the Admin Console). I cannot explain the "Set Options" functionality (with the checkmark), or lack thereof. Harry
  7. Hello- I seem to have the same issue as MWareman. I have two T1900 Venstar thermostats. The first one I bought in 2010, and it displays the "Heat/Cool State" and the humidity (in the Administrative Console, the thermostat adapter is listed as v.95 at the top of the screen in white letters). The second T1900 I bought in early 2011, and it does not display the "Heat/Cool State" or humidity (humidity is always displayed as "0"). The thermostat adapter as listed at the top of the Administrative Console is v.95. It is a little strange, since I have just replaced both thermostat adapters with Revision 2.4R (firmware) devices, as provided by the Smarthome 2441V replacement program. The behavior with the thermostat does not change whether I use the 2.2R firmware adapter or the 2.4R firmware adapter, which makes me think it is a T1900 issue. I tried switching back and forth between the 2.2R and the 2.4R adapters, but it doesn't change the "v.00" number as displayed in the Administrative Console for the second thermostat. Maybe that indicates this is a version number for the thermostat?? Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks. HLA P.S., well, I tried re-adding the device with "Auto Discover" as somebody suggested above. Both "versions" are now listed as "v.95" for the Thermostat Adapters. So the second one now displays the "Heat/Cool State". It does not display the humidity (still shows 0%). The state of the HVAC system was important to me, so I guess I can live with this. Why doesn't the second thermostat display the humidity?
