  1. Hi, I am looking into automating the thermostat and was wondering if the new Venstar Skyport Wifi adapter for the T5800 would be controllable with the ISY... I have not seen any information about an available API or any other application than the mobile one. Anyone knows or have controlled this model using network resources, or is there any plan to support the device has a thermostat in ISY? I need a thermostat that can control humidity(HRV)/dehumidifier so my list is quite limited... Any input is welcome!!
  2. Disabled Kaspersky AV and it works now. Thanks for your help.
  3. no restrictions at the router, both the Vista and laptop are on the same subnet as the ISY I installed the 64-bit Java, seems like I only had 32-bit and it still has the same behavior.
  4. Hello, I am using another PC now and it seems that I can't get lighting states in the Java console, it also see a 9 mins ramp rate for each light. When I go back to the laptop, everything is OK in the java console... any idea what could be causing this ? This computer is running Vista 64-bit, I updated Java to latest and cleared the temp files, but none of that helped. Thanks, jsp
  5. This post allowed me to understand how this works, thanks. If I can make on suggestion, it seems that the way we have to use this programming, some types of programs, the ones with the IFs or WHENEVERs would be triggers and other ones would be the real PROGRAMS or procedures that are called from triggers and some could be considered VARIABLES, cause they are currently used as boolean variables after verifying/meeting a condition in some ways. My 2 cents.
  6. Ok, so when the M1XEP is configured in ISY, the ISY will send lighting status information to the ELK?
  7. But no lighting data was configured on the ELK, but maybe this is the problem. Anyway, I uploaded the ELK Export from ISY this weekend, so I shouldn't see my lights doing this anymore if it was the issue. I will play with the lights tonight and report back with my findings. Just out of curiosity, how did this caused lights to turn on and off like this?
  8. Hello, Programs were not the culprit, since I only had one to Turn on and off outside lights based on time. Now, I repeated the problem and reviewing the LOGS on the ISY shows ELK as being responsible ?! At the time I didn't have any lighting info imported into my ELK. 9. I used Google found my exact Lat/Long and entered as custom. As for Montreal, you could use 45.5, -73.583333 instead of what is in there now (47.14,-84.39)
  10. Must add that Montreal, QC has wrong Lat/Long info in the configuration, the ones in there looked up on google brings you somewhere in Ontario. Any plans to correct this data? Any plans to add more cities? Any way we can put in Custom Location Name? Thanks, JS
  11. I was playing with a new scene I have setup in my bathroom and was trying to see if the status updated on my virtual 3-way. The scene is controlled by a KPL button, I did not include the non-load 3-way switch so it did not update. I turned the scene on and off a few times and the 3-way on and off a few times then 15 seconds later the light opened by itself. I believe I read somewhere that the ISY is always a controller on any scenes created on it. Would that behavior occur because the ISY isn't getting confirmation of the light turned on and replaying the command a few seconds later ?
