  1. I would like to subscribe to the "Professional Collection" but OpenWeatherMap has an email address for me which no longer exists and which I cannot change. Whenever I try to do anything, including change the email address, the response is sent to the non-existent email address.

  2. This is a restart of the same topic from last December. I got involved in other issues which precluded me from continuing and that topic is now closed.

My problem is that OpenWeatherMap in PG3x does not show useful data. When I look at Node Details for OpenWeatherMap it shows values of all 0.

Bob Paauwe: You previously requested I send you the log package in a PM but I don't have your email address so I can't do that. I attached it to this post instead. Hopefully it provides some useful information.

  3. OS is Ubuntu 22.04 so that box (Delete Files and Applications) is not available to me.

I clear the cache with "rm -rf /home/****/.cache/icedtea-web/cache/*"

Start.jnlp files are gone. I moved the admin.jnlp file to a USB drive and pulled it from the system.

The two Admin Consoles shown by IoX still don't work.

  4. IoX Launcher finds my EISY and gives an option box which gives the options of Admin Console (LAN), Admin Console (Cloud), Polyglot and OpenADR. Neither of the two Admin Consoles work. When I click on one I see a momentary IcedTeaWeb logo but it goes away immediately and nothing else happens. I get no Admin Console, I get no icon for the desktop, and the IoX Launcher is no longer responsive.

  5. Thanks, my API key is good so I'm looking for something else.

When I start OWM, the first second or so of log info looks fairly vanilla but at about 1.5 seconds in I see this warning twice in quick succession:

WARNING interface:db_getNodeDrivers: controller not found in database.

    Then this sequence:

    2023-12-02 08:41:41,307 MQTT udi_interface.interface INFO interface:_message: Successfully set key = notices

    2023-12-02 08:41:41,347 Thread-4 udi_interface INFO owm:start: Starting node server

Followed by a long list of error messages, dealing with the file"/var/polyglot/pg3/ns/0021b9026692_3/nodes/owm_daily.py."

I'm in way over my head here so any suggestions will be welcome.

  6. I'm trying to get OpenWeatherMap running on my new eisy. When I look at the OpenWeatherMap data on the admin console, all of the values are zero. This leads me to suspect my APIkey is messed up but I can't find a way to verify if I have a good key. How can I do that?

  7. More or less an accident. I became frustrated with IcedTea-Web so I removed it, ran apt update, and reinstalled IcedTea-Web. It began working and I just assumed my previous copy had somehow become corrupted. Maybe it was an ugly power failure some time ago that corrupted my old installation. If that was the case, IcedTea-Web was not the only problem that failure caused.

  8. Computer is homebrew running Ubuntu on an Intel Core i5-11400; 32gb of system RAM and plenty of storage.

eisy connection is hard wired to ethernet.

Java cache on Linux is cleared by checking /.cache/icedtea-web/cache - it's empty.

I can download start.jnlp direct from UD and I get the same result.

  9. I just installed a new eisy. I gave it an IP address in the router and that works fine. I can ping the eisy with no problem.

When I try to invoke the ISY Launcher, it takes me to a page which tells me I have chosen to open start.jnlp. If I select the default action (IcedTea Web Start) the page disappears but nothing else nothing happens. No error message or message of any kind.

When I put the eisy IP address in the Firefox address line I get an error message saying

    Unable to connect

An error occurred during a connection to (my eisy IP address).

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

I've tried several times, same result. None of those suggestions fit my problem.

  10. My previous ISY had a static IP assigned, worked fine for about 15 years, and had no problems with my router or anything else for that matter. Is it really important to not use a static IP?

  11. 192.168.0.210 is the static IP address I assigned the ISY. It is the same IP address I had assigned to the old ISY. When I try 192.168.0.210, it goes to the default page (192.168.0.210/WEB/udajax.htm#/config/).

  12. Yes, I am using an ISY994i.

I powered the system down overnight but upon restart, http://192.168.0.210/admin.jnlp still does nothing at all. It just sits there.

I got the admin console running with icedteaweb ver.8 but it still shows firmware 5.3.4 and UI 4.9.0. Where can I find UI 5.x.x?

  13. Entering http://192.168.0.210/admin.jnlp on the Firefox URL line produces nothing.

I removed openjdk-11-jre-headless and installed openjdk-8-jre-headless (version 8u362) to get Java 8. Now neither admin console nor iox launcher works. I get the error message Failed to execute command "usr/share/icedtea-web/bin/javaws.sh "https://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/4.9.0/admin.jnlp"". (No such file or directory). I checked /usr/share and the icedtea-web directory is gone. I guess I'll have to reinstall  everything.

  14. I neglected to say that my OS is Linux (Ubuntu 22.04).

    1. Java version is openjdk 11.0.18

    2. Java cache cleared using "rm -rf /home/mike/.cache/icedtea-web/cache/*"

    3. start.jnlp simply reloads the current page.
