  1. In my case, I am running Homeseer plug-ins for my DSC alarm, some one-wire thermometers, and a Brultech energy monitor system, so I will keep it for those. I've been told there are some Insteon functions HS can perform that the ISY can't, but I doubt I will need them. At this point, I just want to keep the HS PLC as a backup at least until I am sure the ISY is configured correctly.
  2. I am currently running Homeseer with the Smarthome 2414u PLC and the basic Insteon plug-in. I just purchased the ISY 99i with the 2413s PLM. I have a relatively small and simple Insteon configuration with about 20 devices. Can I keep the 2414u running as a backup as I install and configure the ISY with the 2413s, or do I need to completely remove the 2414u first? Will the two controllers step all over each other, or will they play nice? Once the ISY is fully functional, I will probably disable the Homeseer Insteon plug-in or at least disable any events in Homeseer, and use the Homeseer ISY plug-in for Homeseer to communicate with the ISY.
