  1. Hi All, Haven't posted here in a long time. just wanted to let all know that I finally found a solution to Alexa not finding the HA bridge on my network. I recently setup a sonos node server and had the same issue. it worked if I plugged all devices involved into the same wireless router (it's how i've been setup since December) but not my 48 port switch. this link talks about cisco switches but I used the same info on my 3com switch http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/catalyst-6500-series-switches/68131-cat-multicast-prob.html Logged into my switch and all I did was enable multicast and disabled IGMP snooping. I then rebooted the switch FINALLY!! I'm discovering with zero issues
  2. Thank you both for you input. im not ready to undertake the task of reconfiguring my network by removing the sonicwall just yet. I did notice the sonicwall does not support Upnp. making we wonder.... I disabled the windows firewall but still no luck.
  3. So I'm still having an issue with the Echo discovering any devices. I've enable upnp on my Verizon Actiontec wireless router. its configured to obtain DHCP from my domain controller running DHCP server. all LAN/Wifi devices can speak to each other. I'm running ha-bridge 1.2.2.jar with no errors (1.2.1 was fine too) and also using Barry's AWS_Config which does connect to my ISY without any issues. when I open a web browser and access HA Bridge it does see the one device I added and can turn it on and off. I can access HA Bridge through a web browser on other devices both WIFI & LAN on my network. this does look like a network problem to me but don't know what else to try. I have a Sonicwall TZ210 is place as my firewall (WAN is plugged in here) Verizon Actiontec Router working as an Access point with DHCP forwarding to DC DHCP is on Domain Controller Here is the command I run to get HA-Bridge up C:\Echo>java -jar -Dupnp.config.address=192.168.1.33 -Dserver.port=8080 -Dupnp.r esponse.port=50001 -Dupnp.device.db=c:\echo\data\device.db c:\echo\ha-bridge-1.2 .2.jar [main] INFO com.bwssystems.HABridge.HABridge - HA Bridge (v1.2.2) starting setup .... 4. I was using the info from the first page of this thread. I will read up on what is involved in getting this setup using your software and the emulator from BWS.
  5. Barry, Thanks for the quick reply. sorry im getting back to you a day late. I have UPnP turned on and the windows firewall is off. I have three access points all with multicast turned on. My DHCP machine is my domain controller (Windows2012). The echo is online and working. I also have a sonicwall firewall. I ran a network scan from the same wifi the echo is on from my iPhone using an app called net analyzer. it was able to find all devices on my network. I haven't used your configurator. Im using Mapper 00012. it finds my isy and all devices no problem, Here is the command line I run for the JAR. java -jar -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true c:\echo\amazon-echo-bridge-0.1.3.jar --upnp.config.address=192.168.1.31 I've also tried using. 0.2.1 - same results
  6. I have been going through this for days and my echo does not discover any devices. ive tried multiple versions of the jar file, verified I can access the wired lan from wifi, tried different computers, and made sure no ports are in conflict. its driving me nuts! any suggestions would be appreciated.
  7. It works very well. If fact I never use the roku remote since my roku is accessible from all tv's in the house. As far as channels I suppose you can create a program to do it. (Ex. Down twice, right once, enter)
  8. I got it working! Step one: put your roku in developer mode press the home button and press the following buttons [Home] [Home] [Home] [up] [up] give it a password and reboot http://blog.roku.com/developer/ Step 2: create a network resource http -> post -> ip address of roku ->port 8060 =>path /keypress/home Timeout(ms) 500 and C Escaped Here are the commands you can use: Home Rev Fwd Play Select Left Right Down Up Back InstantReplay Info Backspace Search Enter Lit_* http://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc/ ... trol+Guide I have a Roku 3 so this process should work on older ones too Note: that the Roku will not let you give it a static ip address but you can reserve it on your dhcp server or router
  9. Has any figured out how to control the Roku from the ISY? I found the following link that describes the curl command http://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc/ ... trol+Guide can this be configured in the network resources? if so any help would be great.
  10. I see. should i regenerate with a lower strength? I really appreciate your help on this. Thank You!
  11. Looks like if i dont use HTTPS all works well with no delays.
  12. Hi Michael, i checked the error log but dont see anything. as far as the isy is concerned the light eventually turned on. Moblelinc started working perfectly out of nowhere but irule still has the delay. also, not that important but ive noticed the Insteon Finder pops up everytime i run the isy desktop app. is this normal? i have to hit cancel to make it go away everytime and then i get a small window that says request failed Thanks, Tom
  13. The issue came back after a day and i had to reinput the user id and password. heres the new issues. Irule: huge delay (20-30 secs) when turing any insteon device on or off. after the firsy delay it works normally until i close and reopen. ir has no issues. Mobilinc: only works after i sync. if i close the program and reopen it doesnt. i have to sync everytime before i use it. very strange because all used to work flawlessly.
  14. After trying a million things, i got it! simply removing the username and password from http section on the device setup it was https://username:password@isy_ip_address:https_port it now is https://isy_ip_address:https_port doesnt make sense since i need a username and password to access the isy but its still secured and more importantly it works!
  15. hope someone can help me. i setup irule with my isy99 several months ago and it was was working great. i noticed about a month ago it wasn't working but i was too busy to dive into it. i finally took a look at it yesterday but still couldn't figure it out. here's what i checked. HTTP Gateway on iphone/ipad is set to https://username:password@isy_ip_address:https_port One of the codes (Network Codes) setup in irule builder based on 19 35 6C rest/nodes/19%2035%206C%201/cmd/DON i know the username and password is correct and i even redid the self-Signed certificate. Very Strange! anyone have any ideas?
