I'm confused how the third line has the potential to change the status if its sitting in the IF statement saying, if the mode heat is on and the temperature is more or equal to 73 then.... Unless i'm missing something? What I don't think I conveyed is that it executes great, it works, I get both notifications each time and everything all the way through, BUT it's only when I go into Mobilinc and press the refresh button in the UI of Mobilinc that it gets executed if its above 72 degrees.... Should I have a query then in this program? is it safe to do that? and if so where should I put it as well as what should it exactly say? Thank you
-
How does it make it false? Just curious what you mean? And yes I believe it's not being queried. The Thermostat is near a lot of dual-band switches so communication should not be an issue.

Hi any chance you can let me know which setting it should be? I do not see an option that says "Main Mode is Heat"? I have the first dropbox set to "Status", the second set to the "Thermostat Main", the third dropbox set to "Is"and the fourth dropbox set to "Mode Heat". I have 4.7.3 firmware/ui installed. Thanks! Frank

Haha, no way I'd ever put that on my thermostat in my dining room. lol

Hello, hoping someone here might be able to help me with this; we have someone in the house who cannot keep their hands off the thermostat making it extra hot in the middle of the night. I want to create a program that when the thermostat's temp changes, goes back to our desired temperature. I have the one below, but noticed it only "runs" when I open my Mobilinc app or login to the ISY itself. Any ideas how to make it run without question?

Hi, is there a way to set the Insteon thermostat fan from the ISY web UI to on? I’m only seeing cool control, heat control and main. Am I missing something here? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks like my PLM just fried. Going on my 4th or 5th one, will insteon ever fix this issue?

Keeping track of it all with notifications

Just found your topic recently and was curious how you used boxcar to integrate to your ISY. Please let me know. Thank you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I'm not sure if this is what you mean, the screen for each individual device?

The Green LED on the IOLinc is off/not lit when the door is closed. What does this mean? Is this correct?

Would this be correct then? The device "Garage Door - Relay" will not stay on 0% for me, every time I click out of the scene it goes back up to 100%

So even the keypadlinc in the scene should be set to on level 0%? Here are some screenshots from mine if you don't mind taking a look to see if there is anything wrong or I'm missing from it...

Ok just tried this, set it to 0% and it now shows as off (Garage is closed). It seems that the slider although did reset it self to 100%, this is normal i assume. I have my keypadlinc set to Non-Toggle-ON is this correct as well? It is a controller of the scene with the relay as a responder, and a responder to the scene with the sensor as the controller... I was having problems earlier trying to get it to sync correctly to the open or close of the garage. Thanks for all your time, i appreciate it.

It seems like when I turn the scene off from the ISY, it will open the door, and if i turn the scene On from the ISY then it shuts the door. The sensor reports it's off when the garage is shut, but the relay reports its "ON" and never changes. Any ideas before I drive myself crazy? Ps. Double checked the wiring, and it is exactly as described in your post

New problem, I found out I have the 3 wire magnetic sensor, I had it originally hooked up to Green with Red tied together with Black (G) for some reason. I cut green loose and tied red to where green was as the (S) Sense wire to the IOLinc. My other wires are hooked up to NO(Normally Open) and COM (Common). Is this correct?

Hey everyone Hoping someone can help address and situation I'm having. I recently switched my IOLINC from Momentary A to Momentary C in the ISY and have added 2 Scenes, one as a Garage Door Relay and one as a Garage Door Status scene. I also use a Keypad to control the Garage Door to open and close, as well as see the status of the garage. Everything oddly worked well in Momentary A mode, with Trigger Reversed checked in options. Here is how my scene is set up: Garage Door Relay Keypad Button F added as Controller Garage Relay added as Responder Garage Door Status Keypad Button F added as Responder Garage Sensor added as Controller When I goto the scene Garage Door Relay in the ISY and send an On command, it shows each device is turned On. But the Garage Door does not open. If I goto the device itself Garage Door, and hit and On command, it will open. If I hit On again on the device itself, it will close the door. Any help would be great! I'm trying to bring this over to my iRule config through REST commands at the end of the day and am not sure why Momentary C is giving me such trouble. Thanks! Frank

Has anyone encountered anything such as this recently? About two of our ISY's were hacked and making switches go 100% and the off function to turn the lights off for a second and back on 100%. The thermostat as well they set to 30 degrees F to turn the AC on in the middle of winter... They also were able to get into the Insteon wireless cameras as well it seems. There was a scene named "facepunch.com" as well, not so sure what this site is used for or why it was left in a device name, as well as what looked to be a username "Terminutter" (which is also a scene name) when i did some research into the site. I know the default username and password was most likely the reason it was hacked, as well as keeping it on a common port. Which are issues I've already addressed and secured. But I'm just curious if anyone else has come such a thing. I attached a screenshot as well.

Also, these are the errors (attached screenshot) i experience when trying to "Automatically Upgrade My Lighting to 3.1.17 through the 99i Admin Console Application i downloaded. The socket error becomes the very last error.

Either way I try to access my ISY's control through internal network or external, I get the attached screenshot. It use to work great, until i had a few hiccups, as trying to update the firmware and it not updating and now I have this problem. I can still access it if I use the internal or external address and put a backslash devices on it, but it's not the most friendly way as it use to be... Please help thank you Frank

So are you using your smartlinc as the isy's PLM? Is that even possible??
-
Thank you for your input!! I do not need to have a computer running with software all the time to acess it from my phone correct? The isy should act as its own Linux base server without a computer I hope. Also if you have any screenshots of the web interface from an iPhone I'd love to take a look. Thank you!
-
Brian, I'm honestly looking for just a users opinion on this based off my questions.
-
I just ordered my ISY-99i IR Pro from the MobiLinc store with their awesome sale they are having. As the SmartLinc hasn't been really doing anything I want it to do (including working nice with an I/O Linc Garage Door Sensor). So I'm really hoping this ISY is what I'm looking for in a controller similar to Indigo, in which we use for clients, but I'm looking for a solution in which I do not have to leave a computer running all day, but still be able to do triggered events, use the sensors properly, etc. What is everyones experience thus far with this device? Did you previously have a SmartLinc at all? How do they compare? What are some things I'll be able to use the ISY for? How close is the ISY to an Indigo set up? Does the web interface work well? Or do you suggest the MobiLinc Pro for $20? Sorry if I sound a bit Noobish, I'm new to this board, and looking for some input on the ISY. Thank you, Frank
