Hi Everyone.. I replaced the Batteries on 2 x 2842 Out Door Motion PIR the Front one came back and online and is acting as it should.. the other (Rear PIR) has not.. cant figure what to do to get it back online.. I tried reset, querey, Write to .. nothing .. See Attached pics.. Front is fine.. rear is sowing a different logo.. Any ideas ?.. appriciate the responses thanks Matt

Thanks.. actually never used that option.. Ill take a closer look but I use geofencing to provide system status.. Im Home Im not at Home Scenes are set accordingly.. But still does not explain why the ISY will not retain status on restart .. I now disabled Query at restart and will test .. thanks !!

Hello everyone.. Was wondering if anyone else has seen this issue when my ISY restarts (power failure for example) it fails to keep its status and all components are set to off on when the power returns.. I have to manually restart the scene it was running before the power failure.. I have confirmed "Catch up on restart" is enabled .. am I missing something else that needs to be enabled ? thank you ! Has anyone ever experienced this that after changing a battery on a wireless PIR due to a low battery flag… The low battery does not go back to normal or clear.. Everything seems to be working normally… But the low battery light is always on the I SY Thanks..

Perfect working order Have Box and Manual Installed it in June and removed it End of September when Heatpump was installed - so very little use. So Spoke to Michel at Tech Support.. Seems their server is flushing out due a failure or it was off line So far.. I have not had a reoccurrence .. And I enabled a gmail specific for the ISY.. So far.. So good.. Hope this helps

So I tried to set this up.. but the ISY server is now sending me 100's of emails at a time ? I deleted the ID out of my ISY and stopped all Programs relating to email notification...still sending.. I even changed email address.. still sending.. not sure whats going on.. what I did notice its all old emails from days ago continuously being resent.. sheesh..not sure if anyone has a fix..

BTW.. do you know.. when I do a text msg notify .. the ISY send a pre-text heads up and then I have to respond with a "read" to to get a second text that is the actual ISY msg.. is this the ISY or my provider.?? . id like only to receive the 1 msg.. thanks again Matt

Yes.. I also tried running a test and it failed I also tried running a Then then where the text notify... Nothing.. Odd.. I also rebooted the ISY .. Thx !

Sorry Stu.. Im just not sure what you are saying.. I think I just realized.. would it not be easier to set a off tigger on the PIR .. set the delay ON the PIR(Options) to 5 MIN.. When it times out to OFF.. I set another PGM to reflect when it receives an off command.. dim to 50% ??

Hello everyone.. not sure how to code the following I have a INSTEON PIR and Id like it to trigger my front lights that would already be at 50% to 100% and after 5 mins.. return to 50% So.. Front lights on at 50% at Sunset IR PIR triggers Front Lights Increases to 100% WAIT 5 MIN Down to 50% till next trigger IF : From Sunset + 1 minute and 1 second To Sunrise + 1 second (next day) And Status 'Front PIR-Sensor' is On Then : Set 'Front Door' 100% Wait 5 minute and 10 seconds Set 'Front Door' 50% does the trigger.. 100% bright after 5 mins... nothing ..does not execute the 50% dim level... Im not sure what Im doing wrong thanks !

Hi stu I contact second level tech at Foscam.. and they told me pin 1 is for singal input. Pin 2 is for the ground, and pin 3,4 is for signal output. My manual says 1– input 2- input 3- output 4-output as there is no consisitency in responses...I tried all sorts of combos.... no go Hi Steve.. yep.. contacted your team and they echoed your statement.. Im just not that proficient to understand ..lol I was really hoping someone "found" the trick ...

I can't figure it out I am having zero success enabling my 2 9821w outdoor cams to trigger a scene Cam --> iolinc--> ISY scene.. I've tested the oilinc and scene.. Works fine.. (Shorting the cables) Prob is cam terminal block..?? Foscam says: The pin 1 is for singal input. Pin 2 is for the ground, and pin 3,4 is for signal output. I've tried pin 2 - 3 to iolinc I've tried pin 3-4 to iolinc No go.. I enabled IO alarm on foscam firmware..no go.. Has anyone had success with The Terminal Block of the 9821 ?.. Hi everyone.. So I replaced the Insteon Thermostat with a T1900 by Venstar with an Insteon Adaptor.. So far.. its been ok.. people may find this amazing but I found the Insteon better, more user friendly and at least it kept time with a SYNC option via the ISY .. the only reason I got the Venstar T1900 was the dual heating hook up option. It just bugs me that for the cost of the Venstar.. no Battery!!!..., thank got they put vram in there.. but .. at power outage.. I always have to reset the clock.. I know it has no impact as its contolled by the ISY .. but maybe I have OCD but every time I pass and see it off by a day and 5 hours.. bugs me.. is the clock setting a limitation of the T1900 or ISY firmware ?.. in other words.. will we see the day where the clock will autoset itself on a Venstar ? thanks !! good morning - worked for 2 days- no issues ...I did a diag -query insteon engine/hard reset of the Dongle .. ISY sees the Dongle.. but the error is between the dongle and Thermostat. and just to confirm... I did install it with Thermostat in OFF position .. the ONLY thing I did yesterday was update the firmware and UI to 4.2.2 .... could this be something.. ? can I revert to an older firmware ? .. and confirm.. is this easy to do ? thank you

Thx Lee.. I deleted both Thermostat entries and re installed .. That seem to have fix although I have three line items for the Fan Heat Cool Fan Thanks for the other input.. The fan command was driving me bonkers.. Thx !

Although I was very happy with the Insteon 2441TH (for sale if anyone needs one) .. Im getting a heatpump and needed a thermostat that supports dual fuels - Electric Furnace and HeatPump.. I installed the Smarthome Insteon Dongle as well Question .. I see 2 definitions in my ISY on the new Thermostat.. Im not sure if this is normal ? Will the ISY send a clock setting to the new thermostat ?.. Additionally.. Im trying to cycle my FAN on thirty mins cycles.. this is what I coded.. but only seems to work if I submit a execute a Then Command..bizarre.. maybe I need to wait till a new day starts as my start time is 0600am .. this is what I coded ?? thanks everyone..

Hello All.. I recently installed multiple Foscam FI9828W outdoors...and just ordered IOlinc modules to install.. Question...On the Camera there is an I/O alarm terminal block that has 2 inputs and 2 outputs.. On the IOLINC there is • Ground – Used with Sense terminal for detecting sensor status • Sense – Used with Ground terminal for detecting sensor status • Normally Close • Normally Open – • Common – Using 22guage wire.. Has anyone wired this up successfully and configured this on the ISY? I'm thinking the 2 Output of the Camera Terminal to the N/O and Command ? Any help would be appreciated! thanks
