Were you able to do a "Tap to Sync with ISY " Not sure if that would enable or update the variable Matt

Awesome Michel.. I always used text.. thanks very much for the tip.. will start playing with that ! Matt

Hi everyone.. Any way to have the ISY to direct text me the status I'm looking for ? Presently I get a text that " You have mail from alerts@Universaldevices.com" I have to type read and then I get my status.. Any way to skip the first step and avoid having to type read to get my status ? Thanks ! Matt

Hi Wes.. I am trying your demo lite version.. And the geofence scenarios when integrated are truly limitless.. Nice work To make sure I don't leave my wife in the dark and set the alarm on her.. I would need to create a program with a condition based on her device and condition setting. If matt phone is 0 And Michele phone is not 0 Then Xxx and the the reverse condition of the above would also need to be set...I presume multiple conditions would need to be set if the kids are home .. Etc.. Do you have a "best practice" ISY script available ? .. For different scenarios .. Etc .. Thanks...

thanks Xathros .. Does Mobilinc need to be enabled or opened on task or can the App be closed and Geo-sensing will still be active ? Thanks Again

I was looking at the very nifty (do we still use that word ?) Mobilinc app and GeoFencing.. I may just pick it up..but wanted to find out first if there are any provisions for stand alone GeoFencing with ISY Native ? or do we need to use Mobilinc ? thanks Matt

Good morning Brian .. I will certainly take a look but remember batteries in the unit.. Something tells me when I popped off the front .. it still displayed the temp. .. hence batteries. Thank you for the info .. I called a few companies.. looks like I maybe out of luck.. as it stands now.. I may see hooking up more wires..specifically the C wire

Hello.. Im looking to install a 2441TH wireless INSTEON thermostat.. for a Radiant Floor another 2441TH manages my main Forced Air Electric Furnace. This radiant floor looks like its low voltage.. and is on a 10A fuse. Ive attached a pic of the current "MANUAL" Thermostat.. my question is that some Thermostats - Specifically Internet Thermostats(NEST) need a higher voltage to run.. any input on past experiences on hooking up a The 2441TH wireless INSTEON thermostat .. good or bad ? thanks everyone Matt

I do not beleive these are impact issues but if anyone can shed some light on what these errors are.. and if I need to worry about it .. many thanks !! I was looking at implementing weather bug.. However.. My home is a distance from the reporting weather station.. Then I stumbled on NetAtmo Urban Weather Station.. It's a standalone in/out house weather station that rather looks interesting.. In fact with its IOS links to with my ipad or iPhone .. It's a rather cool device for those like me that like to check weather occasionally if not daily.. Then I wondered. Has there been any work on other local weather system that are in house and has anyone looked at implementing a link to it to the ISY..? For those not aware of the NetAtmo Urban Weather Station.. I invite you to take a read.. It looks rather promising.. Although it does feed some of its data from a local weather station.. I'll be ordering one soon

Thanks....!!!! Wil give this a shot... Appriciate the input !

Hello.. I have a remote link switch that its function is to turn on or off lights depending on time of day.. like ALL OFF or ALL ON As default.. I have them reset to off at Sunrise I have a scene that turns on certain lights in the evening.. here is the issue.. when I go to bed.. i hit the remote link button.. but I need to turn it on (as it is still set to OFF ) is there a way to change the STATUS of the remote link switch without executing its set command ? this way all I need to do is hit off and all lights will tun off .. hope Im clear .. ? thx !! configed and set.. thanks only anomaly I see now is that the SET TIME NTP Server get a DNS error ? which means I can no longer auto time set .. I tried resetting to another server but no luck.. thanks ! Matt

fuentesa.. you are 100% correct .. Router is also doing the DHCP .. before the modem from previous ISP did it.. I did see that option.. was hesitant to change it.. will do so now.. this location is in the Gatineau Mountains of Quebec... and power outages are common.. even though I have a UPS plugged in to support the ISY and modem..router.. sometimes power goes out for a day or more... setting the static IP on the ISY will hopefully avoid it rebooting up differently.. thanks !

Hello all.. I recently changed ISP providers and got a static IP addy for access to my ISY remotely I used to see a local IP address for the ISY of 192.168.1.102 The ISY ALWAYS booted up with that address.. with the new ISY... I now see 192.168.3.100 since the move to the new ISP. I have rebooted the ISY and confirmed it came up again with the 100 address .. Question : What dictates the local IP address and will the ISY ALWAYS come up with the same local IP moving forward ? thank you !!! Matt

Oh good to know.. The reviews have been promising .. Always concerned in confusing too many power line signals Thx guys Matt

Hello.. Im looking at adding the following : ZyXEL PLA4205KIT Powerline Kit Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Up to 500Mbps Has anyone had any experiences and potential conflicts with the ISY944i devices..? thanks !!! Matt

Indeed ..looks like the issue was load on the light switch .. Ill look at using a variable(virtual) over using a device to identify presence.. Ill research it .. hopefully there are some examples as Im not too sure.. thanks for the tip guys Matt

eK M1 - works great and now has a floor blueprint that I also added to the iOS App .. works great for both iphone/ipad and ipod

Hi... thanks for the feedback .. its a lamp module - 2456D3.. and if set on and I run a query.. it turns it to off.. an interesting point that you mention is that no load..is that I dont have a lamp or anything plugged into it makes a differnce ? Im not sure what you mean on variable bsobel ..?.. sorry newbie thanks !

Hi guys... thanks for the tips... I was not aware of the weatherbug module .. Ill look into it.. does it integrate with the ISY ? Just an FYI.. and I mean this in a nice way ...the only difference is that we dont do Fahrenheit.. after 30 yrs of Celcius and metric.. 70 or 45deg means little to many outside the US and perhaps the UK.. I presume it would be the reverse respectfully...if I told you it was 32c .. I would think lots of non metric people would not be too sure if that is hot..or comfortable.. At the end of the day I totally know what imperial measuments offer and where they sit.. I know what 70F is.. but this day in age we should have an option in a commercial app to select either.. thanks !!

I have a rule.. when I am home I enable a device as "ON" to tell my ISY that I am at home and that triggers a slew of different scenes at different time.. When away .. I turn off that device and obviously .. those scenes dont trigger ...all is perfect What I noticed is at 0300 when the system does a Query All (or when I test the Query).. .. it atomatically turns off that device that I use to set my "At Home" status .. is this normal that Query changes a state of a device ? thanks Matt

..By coincidence.. I installed my Thermostate today .. and spotted all the issues people are having with this device(Leaf mode and such).. I installed it and it seems to be running ok for now.. I have integrated it into my ISY 994IR .. Now I noticed there are muliple options.. running the Heat in : Thermostat MODE - Program Heat --> presume that this is pointing to the actual thermostate to run the preprogrammed temp schedule ? Thermostat MODE - Heat - I preume that this mode.. the ISY sets the Schedule ? Obviously Id like to set the programming for the ISY to manage So I would set the device to Mode Heat and NOT Program Heat- What would be a best practice for the following : I created a New Scene and moved the Thermostate in there..I then create a New Thermostate Program calling it Thermostate Schedule In there I have it to turn heat on to 72F at 0600 : --------------- IF Status 'At Home' is On and time is 0600am then Set thermostate 70 (Heat Setpoint) --------- That ends Scene 1 how would I add at 0830 to drop it down to 68f and then 430pm move it up to 70 and att 11PM move down to 66 and then as the first scene .. back up to 72 at 0600am ? .. do I need to create new scenes for all ? Also .. I set my device to Celsius(Canada and majority of civilized world ) .. seems the ISY default is F degrees .. any way to change that ? thanks all.. fingers crossed I dont have any wierd temp fluctuations ... thanks Matt
