I haven't had any experience with the 2448A7 but some members on the forum are using it. Yes, you would need to add a dual band device after you install the 2448A7. Ideally an Insteon plug in device would be ideal as its antenna is external and would provide the best coverage. If you don't have one then try to install your dual band device close to the Polisy to insure good RF communication.

The Zooz ZSE40 is compatible with the ISY. Excluding it before you Include it basically clears its memory as sometimes a device will contain data when the item was manufactured and tested.. If it's not updating then exclude it and start over.

Here's some answers to your questions: The Polisy requires a PLM or the USB Controller if you intend to use Insteon devices. It supports the serial PLM, the USB PLM and the 2448A7 USB controller. All of these devices are currently out of stock. The Polisy firmware includes the ISY, the network module, and portal intergration. If you want to use Zwave with the Polisy you would need the Zooz Zwave 700 dongle which is available. There's an app for IOS and Alexa is supported via the UDI Portal account which requires a subscription. A 2 year subscription is included when you buy the Polisy. The Hub cannot be interfaced with the Polisy. If you're moving over from the Hub you would be starting a new installation. Your Insteon devices would need to be factory reset and then added to the Polisy. The hub cannot share Insteon devices with the Polisy, .Any programs you need would have to be created in the Polisy. Hope this answers most of your questions.

What does your ISY show for firmware and UI If you did everything correctly you shouldn't have to remove and re-add your Zwave devices.

@KNicklow What version of the ISY Zwave dongle do you have? What's your current ISY firmware and UI? After you installed the WallMote do you see its nodes in your device tree? What exactly do you want the Wallmote to do? The Polisy is the upcoming replacement for the ISY994 however your current setup should work with the Wallmote.

I just took a look at my Aeotec Smart Switch 7, it also doesn't have a scene or association option.

To back up Zwave right click on Zwave in the admin console then click on backup. That will write your Zwave configuration to the SD card. Be sure to follow the firmware update instructions exactly You should update to the latest release, 5.3.4 Note: you must have the 500 series Zwave installed to use 5.3.4 as it's not compatible with the 300 series dongle.

Thanks Chris. Now I'm also unable to reproduce the problem. I wonder if one of the recent Polisy package updates corrected the problem.

For now that's normal as the Polisy isn't able to read the Zooz firmware. That's something that may be corrected in a later Polisy firmware release

Thank you, I was able to log in. I was using polisy instead of admin When I try to look at the debug.log I get a permission denied. What am I missing?

I just installed Putty. When I try to input the password I'm having the same issue as I did with Windows SSH. I don't see the keyboard input and I get a password denied. I'm using a wireless bluetooth keyboard, I wonder if that could be an issue? Your PLM may be on the edge of failure and thus unreliable. You can try right clicking on one of the devices with a RED ! and then do a restore device. If you have any battery operated devices be sure to disable automatic writes to battery devices before you try to do the restore to your hardwired devices.

When I'm at the "Password for admin@polisy" prompt it still won't accept any input from the keyboard. Do I need a port number. Seems it's using port 22

Using SSH with windows 10 to login into Polisy - When it asks for password it won't allow/accept any typed input. Any suggestions?

@cddave1252 The 500 series Z-wave board is not compatible with the ISY 4.9.0 firmware. You need to update to your ISY firmware and UI to 5.3.4 Be sure to read the firmware release notes before updating as the update requires some user intervention.

After running several tests I can confirm that Z-wave will not work on the Polisy if you don't have a PLM attached and the Insteon box is checked in which case I get the "Z-wave dongle not responding." message

Do I access the log file via Telnet or ??

The Z-wave dongle is now working. The log show that it stopped about 1/25, possibly after I did a Polisy package update. I unchecked Insteon (I don't and didn't have a PLM connected) and rebooted the Polisy which now shows Z-wave as active. It's possible that one of the Polisy updates didn't like Insteon being checked without a PLM attached and had an adverse effect on Z-wave.

@Michel Kohanim Yes, it's the Zooz 700 w/yellow cap. Polisy power supply is 1.5 amps Note: Z-wave was working until recently. UPDATE: I thought I would try a factory reset on the dongle but noticed that the only way to factory reset it is through the host software which I'm unable to access. Not sure if the dongle died or the issue is with the Polisy

I installed all the latest package updates and am now getting "Z-wave dongle not responding." I've tried rebooting, removing and inserting dongle, etc., but to no avail. Don't know if the dongle died or it's a firmware issue
