  1. thats what im doing now
  2. I have both the 2441ZTH (Wireless) and the 2441TH thermostats. At night when I go to sleep i set the 2441ZTH as the master this way my AC cools the room based on the temperature in my room. Then in the morning I set the 2441TH in my living room back to the master. Can I automate this via the ISY? I dont see any settings for the thermostats that mention anything about a master. Thanks for your help.
  3. your pick would be the full color screen one? Honeywell RTH9580WF Wi-Fi
  4. I have my eye on that one and to answer your question I do have z-wave on my ISY994.. i like this one also Honeywell RTH9580WF Wi-Fi
  5. I hear you. I have had my ISY for years. I had bought the hub first and sold it on ebay because I wanted the ability to do if then statements. But so far I have only used it for basic stuff. Like turn my outside lights on when it gets dark, turn on the lights in my kitchen when someone walks in, garage etc. Nothing like what you have. I like those other fancy thermostats mentioned in this thread but I dont want to have to jump through hoops like your doing and then have to find out that I should of went with the Insteon thermostat.
  6. Thanks. You have alot going on. I just need a thermostat that I can control with my ISY
  7. So its basically a remote control to the 2441TH that reports back? So you dont have a 2441TH? You're only using remote sensor capabilities? Which thermostat are you using?
  8. Which one the honeywell or the ecobbe? You said almost completely. What cant you control?
  9. Really? I thought the 2441ZTH can be used as an extra sensor being that its wireless. Does it piggy back off of the 2441TH?
  10. Does the insteon do what you mention above? I just might play it safe and stay with the insteon and cross my fingers that it doesnt freeze up like some people have mentioned.
  11. i like this one also Honeywell RTH9580WF Wi-Fi
  12. ok so its either the Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007/U Z-Wave or the ecobee3. Im guessing you guys will say the honeywell because it can be controlled easier by the ISY.
  13. Nobody has mentioned anything about the 2441TH. Im guessing its not that great. I read here on the forum that its sensitve and freezes and that you can really read the screen. But I do like the fact that it has a humidity reading while the others done. I really like the ecobee3 but from what I read its not as easy to control as other unit. But I like the idea of the remote sensors. Im torn between the 2441TH, Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007/U Z-Wave
  14. I get that. But what kind of stats do you get from the thermostat? Stats as in how long the ac has been running that month or day? Do they give you Humidity etc?
  15. What kind of stats do you speak of?
  16. Can the Nest be used with the ISY?
  17. According to an amazon review if the power goes out you have to reset the time manually and you cant control it if you're out of town. Is this true?
  18. Can i control the venstar 7900 with my isy? a little pricey https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=venstar+7900
  19. AC guy came to my house today to fix my drier LOL and he said that I do have the blue common wire. So i guess now its just deciding on a thermostat.
  20. So I need to know the voltage but I cant use a voltage indicator? Im confused. Insnt a voltage indicator telling you the voltage? Is a multimeter good enough?
  21. I think you're right. There are actually two sets of brown wire that each have five wires inside them (White, Green, Yellow, Blue, Red). I was giving you the info on the wrong set of wires. I was giving you info on wire #2. If you look at wire #1 (see attachment) Thermostat (wire #1): white Connects to Furnace: white Thermostat (wire #1): green to Furnace: Green Thermostat (wire #1): Yellow Connects to 2nd cable: red Thermostat (wire #1): Red Connects to Furnace: yellow If you look at Wire#2 (see attachment) Wire2: white connects to Furnace Blue Wire2: red connects to Thermostat (wire #1) Red https://www.dropbox.com/s/o061gmqi0rsytgi/IMG_1570.JPG?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/e1w4asr9exd0xks/IMG_1569.JPG?dl=0
