There are 2 wires, I just closed the circuit.

Thank you oberkc, I did check. When connecting the wires, the controller resets and door does not open.

I am using Chamberlain Model # HD920EV I purchased at the home depot. I have contacted Chamberlain support, and there is no way to use a simple open/close switch with this unit. I guess my next step will be is to take the RF remote apart and try soldering some wires to the on/off button.

On the topic of garage doors, did anyone figure out a way to connect the kit to one of the newer encrypted garage door openers?

Also keep in mind that Smarthome made changed the magnetic contact in the kit, so maybe the wiki needs updating. The only reason I started this thread was that I was getting oppsite results from the WiKi.

I just installed the Garage Door kit model: 74551 and followed the instructions in the Wiki to program into ISY. The problem I am having is the KPL button is on when the door is closed and off when open, status LED on I/O Link is green when door is closed as per instruction that came with the kit. The Wiki refers to different color wiring, my kit came with all white wires. How can I fix this?

I have a program that turns on a light based on motion from sunset to sunrise. The program needs to wait 2 minutes before turning off the light. The lights turns on correctly, but does not turn off 2 minutes later. This is my first program using Wait statement, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong, or if I should use something else than the wait command. I am on version 4.0.2 If Status 'OutSide / FrontMotion / FrontMotion-Sensor' is On And From Sunset - 15 minutes To Sunrise + 5 minutes (next day) And Status 'OutSide / Front-Center' is Off Then Set 'OutSide / Front-Center' On Wait 2 minutes Set 'OutSide / Front-Center' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

If there was an option to use the EnvisaLink 3 without DCSLink(runing a pc 24/7) it will solve my issue.

Thanks johnnyt and apostolakisl, I will need a new system. I am looking at Honeywell and DSC (7" touch keypads), most likely Honeywell with tuxedo keypads. Also my preferred installer does not do ELK. Vera has a nice plugin for the Honeywell, was hoping to find a more elegant way of connecting to ISY, so I could go with the ISY instead.

Any recommendation for a new Alarm system that could be arming and disarming from ISY, other than ELK?

I am waiting on the ISY with z-wave dongle before I start. I have 4 separate AC units, and a 4 zone heater.

I just came back from the house I am buying, I will need 8 Thermostats, 4 heat and 4 AC. Before I realized that I need 8, I was planning to go with the Nest. But at this point I would want to have more control. So please give best recommendations for Thermostats best compatible with ISY.
