It turns out that the problem was in the wire connecting the irrigation controller to the valve. The wire came loose and fell out. Thanks for the help.

My home irrigation system consists of an EZRain Irrigation Controller that is controlled by an ISY program. I want to add an 8 button On/Off Keypad to show which sprinklers are on and to be able to command them by pushing the appropriate button. I created a Scene containing a button and the appropriate Irrigation Controller interface. I can call up the Scene but nothing happens. Any suggestions? Do I need to use a Scene? Would it be better to do this all by program?

I deleted 11 devices to see if it would change anything. It didn't. I deleted the Keypad and linked it back. That brought out the buttons. I have no idea why some of my devices in My Lighting are red. I appreciate your helo. Joe

The other red devices are SwitchLincs I installed with the subject device. They are part of my plan to improve the lighting in the master bathroom

I added this some time ago. When it didn't work I decided to wait until I had replaced my ISY-99i with an ISY-994i. I just made the swap. I haven't worked with ISY for some time. So, it's likely I didn't do this correctly. Here's the screen print. ISY 001.doc

I right clicked on the HeypadLinc and got no place to select group.

I installed a 2334-2 KeypadLinc Dimmer with 5 buttons. I can find the KeypadLinc but not the buttons. Are they hidden. Or did I make a mistake when I added it to my system? How can I correct this? Thanks

I go to Tools and select log. I select Excel format. Then there's a warning about macros. Time before last I declined macros and received nothing. This time I accepted macros and got over 44,000 log entries in an Excel spread sheet. I would like to trim that down a lot. But I don't know how. Maybe the only option is to erase the whole log. Which is what I might do. Joe

Lee, I appreciate your help. On further investigation I discovered I had failed to save the program changes. Does that happen a lot? I will check out the event viewer. I'm sure it will come in handy some time. I would still like to know how to get the log running. Thanks, Joe

I'm migrating my X10 system to mostly Insteon. I started with some lighting activities. Then I programmed my sprinklers in X!0. That worked fine. I just converted my sprinkler relays to Insteon. I can communicate with the new relays individually. My sprinkler program runs but, the sprinklers don't work. So, I looked at my log and it is empty. How can I turn it on? Thanks, Joe

My access problem was solved after I unplugged the PLM and replugged it. After the ISY booted up it was able to connect to the router. Now it works fine. Joe

I have checked my cables. And replaced the e net cable. The ISY cable connector shows a steady green light and a linking green light. The router connection shows a green light. So, I think the connections are OK. The ISY is not on the router's DHCP client table. I have spent more than two hours with AT&T trying to solve this. So far, none of them has any idea how to add to the client list. I'm beginning to think my problem is in the router. Does the ISY continue o try to connect to the router? Or, do I have to do something to make that happen? Is there any way to increase the font size or these messages? Thanks, Joe

I have been using an ISY-99i for some time. Now I can't access it by e net. The ISY is working fine. My modem is working fine. I have two PCs and the ISY connected to it. The e net connection at the rear of the ISY shows one solid green light and one blinking green light. At the other end a green light goes on where the cable is connected to the modem. MEM and ERR are blinking. I ran www.universal-devices.com/991. It didn't find my ISY. I rebooted my modem and the problem remains. Where should I go from here? Thanks, Joe

Michel, Progress! I couldn't find rebooting instructions in the User Guide. So, I unplugged the cable to the PLM, reconnected it and the ISY rebooted without the error indication. My former My Lighting icon didn't work. So. I went to http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/. That brought up my administrative console. I have not been able to figure out how to update the My Lighting icons with the new address. I think my new address is 192.168.1.78/admin. I can't get it to work. Tell me how to solve this. Also, every time I go to Universal-devices.com/99i/ I get a message "The application's digital signature has an error. Do you want to run this application?" I think my version is 2.7.15. Thanks, Joe

Michel, The E net cable seems to be OK. The two lights by the ISY end are blinking. The light at the modem connection is on. I switched cables and it looks the same. I tried to access it at 192.168.1.78 and received no response. My ISY continues to perform it's programs. It controls lighting and sprinklers. I was delayed working on this because my AT&T U-verse system crashed. It took out my TV and internet. I just got it fixed this morning. Thanks, Joe

I have been using my ISY-99i for some time. Some how the My Lighting icon lost the URL. Following the instructions in the User Guide I went to http://www.universal-devices.com/99i. That brought up the Administrative Console. This was overlaid with a screen that said "The application's digital signature has an error. Do you want to run the application?" I selected Yes and got an Administrative Console. When I clicked HELP>ABOUT it responded with a copyright screen. I did not receive a sign-on screen My ISY-99i is alive and working. Where can I go from here? Thanks!

I bought the X 10 add on program for my ISY. You can program them without this. It just makes it easier. Next I entered all my x 10 addressed devices. Then I developed the nine programs I needed for my basic needs. I used the X 10 device entry for the programming just like it was an Insteon device. Now I'll work my way through my system one group at a time. I will replace X 10 only devices with Insteon devices. And I'll restore the Insteon devices that currently have X 10 addresses to their native state. Then I will replace the old X 10 devices in my programs with the new Insteon devices. When I named all my current X 10 devices I added X 10 to the end of their name. When I restore an Insteon device or install a replacement I'll use the same names with out the X 10 at the end. This will make it easy to see which devices on the device list are X 10 and which are not. The ISY programming system makes it easy to swap devices.

My system consists of X 10 devices, Insteon devices with X 10 addresses and an ISY computer. I'm in the process of moving much of my system from X 10 to Insteon with ISY. I want to convert some of my Insteon devices from X 10 to native Insteon. What do I need to do? Thanks, Joe

Michel, I appreciate your good information. Two follow-up questions. If a scene includes a device, such as a light controller, could a program test the status of that controller? My question about converting Insteon devices with X 10 addresses was directed at removing the X 10 address from the device and returning it to it's native Insteon mode. I want to transition my Insteon devices from their X 10 address state to their normal state. Thanks, Joe

My home has X 10 devices and Insteon devices with X 10 addresses. I installed an ISY and was able to program my basic needs. Now I want to transition to more Insteon. Can I include an X 10 device in a Scene? Can a program check the condition of a Scene? Can a program control a Scene? How should I convert my Insteon devices from X 10 addresses to native Insteon? Thanks Joe
