  1. Thanks for the additional info. I am reluctant to upgrade while I am remote, as I can't fix it if it locks up. I will surely take your advise as soon as I return. Thanks - Eric
  2. Thanks for the reply. The ISY that I have been connecting to remotely is a 994i 256 with 4.0.5 and a self signed certificate. I still get the ssl v3 warning on that system. Any guesses why? Thanks Eric
  3. Now I am confused. When I query the secure port for the 994, I do not specify a protocol, just https: address:port. I assumed when firefox blocked it with no work around, that there is no other way to address the secure port for the ISY with firefox. What am I missing for future reference - please advise- thanks
  4. Hello all, I have two isy systems, one is a 994 with a self signed cert. the other is a 99 with out dated cert. I have been able to remote log in to both systems with the script or basic UD web program with a variety of browsers and phones. Firefox now blocks access to both the web and Java (admin) console. IE still works, android browsers still work. My question is will others follow the lead of Firefox, and then what for secure remote access. Question # 2: Is the upgrade program for my old 99 still available? Regards - Eric
  5. OK, I'll do that. Thanks for the reply!
  6. I have an issue with a self signed certificate. I have an isy99 in one location and a 994 at a different location. Today I am at the 99 location. I was able to log in to both systems using https:// ip and ip/adm prior to making any changes to the certificates. I first had to go to java and reduce the security level because high would always block access. After reducing the security level I logged in to the 99 and checked the version = 3.3.1. I went to the manage certificates (while local) selected new certificate and installed it and saved it ( file was named ud.dcf). I cleared the cache and reset the java security levelv - no connection - lowered it and still no connection - deleted the java ref to 2013 certificate - restarted windows - still no joy. ISY 99 reboots normally after certificate routine but it seems no cert is generated. The UD.DCF file can not be imported into java. I tried both firefox and IE9 without any luck. The isy 994 administrator e-console can still access the isy99. I went back a checked the 994 with java in medium and was able to log in to the 994 with and without the /adm option. The 994 is still running the original cert. and version 4.0.5 Is there something I am missing for the new certificate generation from the adm module? I used 512 and the external address from the router/modem.
  7. Hi all, I have a question regarding a venstar 2491t7e with the humidty module added. It seems to work fine for 1-3 months, and then stops communicating. Pressing the linking (set) button ( under the cover in the middle lower section of the stat) immediately starts the communication again. I believe that the thermostat is still functioning ok when I can't communicate with it, (dehumidification mode) but it is difficult to know when it stops working with the ISY. I email venstar, and they had no suggestions. I have three other 2491t1e's that work and communicate without error both remote and locally and have been reliable for more than 2 years. Is there a command line that will emulate pressing the link (set) button?
