  1. I have been running a full blown Insteon 50+ devices system on ISY 994i for nearly a decade. The system has proven to be reliable. Maybe once every 6 months or more I might find a device that did not turn off or on at the scheduled time, but that is very rare. I replaced the PLM after maybe 3 years but modified the replacement by drilling a dozen holes into the plastic case so there is airflow through the unit. The PLM has since been solid. The system has functioned so well over the years I decided to upgrade to the EISY R2. In a nutshell the upgrade was very easy. I simply made a backup of my 994 saved it to my local PC. Disconnected the ISY, Replaced it with the new EISY R2 with a new PLM cable. Running the ISY Launcher on the local PC located the EISY, I did a restore from backup. It booted and came up with all my nodes and programs intact. The only thing I needed to change was the EISY tome zone. Good job Universal Devices.

Can someone give us an honest update on the status of Eisy and the future of UD? I have contacted Sales@universal-devices.com and received no response.
  3. I went ahead and updated from 4.7.3 to 5.0.16B this morning. The upgrade seems to have been painless with no issues so far. Thanks to all.
  4. Is there a list of Supported Insteon devices by hardware / firmware? I'm considering upgrading firmware in my 4.7.3 994i, but not sure it is worth the effort. Attempting to understand what additional devices are supported if I upgrade. My 2842-222 motion sensors (I have 3 of them) are failing and replacements are hard to find. I attempted to replace one with a 2844-222 but ISY shows unknown device. I would appreciate any guidance.
