so I got this problem too. Two switches controlling overhead can lighting, a keypad that actually controls the load and a switch on the other side of the room that controls the "scene overhead lighting". This allows the most important feature of the on off LED's on the keypad and the ramping LED on the other switch to mirror each other. I know I'm crazy but I cant live if they don't match. In comes isy portal and Alexa, Can't dim the scene with alexa can only turn it on and off. tried all sorts of ways but no go. I finally named the load controlling switch ceiling lights 1 and the other switch ceiling lights 2 in the spoken section of the portal portal. I then had alexa discover devices so that both appeared and added both into a group called ceiling lights. Now with spoken work ceiling lights everything works beautifully. I can now say ceiling lights (xx) percent and they change quickly to that, no 9% rule. Most importantly the on/off led matches on/off of the lights and the ramp approximates the brightness on the other switch. So whats the question? Is this going to burn my house down? I know it won't but I want someone else to tell me its ok.

I guess I was looking at an always on solution without a PC, Not sure how the insteon hub will handle dimming with Alexa's help. I'm very satisfied with the early version of the solution that you guys have worked so hard on. I have an always on PC that I run, no ups though. With any restart or power outage I need to run jar and discover devices in mapper. not a biggy but I thought that the insteon hub would correct that and allow easy dimming. I haven't tried Barry's solution yet. I do appreciate the work you guys have done. I wish I would have learned to type and code many years ago.

The insteon hub could act as thehue emulator so to speak. Am I missing something?

for the TV volume "sound" worked for me. I had a hard time figuring out what to call the "fan off" scene. Turn on fan off wouldn't get it. Turn on fan still did...

Just set up using the hue hack. Works very well, thank you guys for all of your work. Now for the question. Is there a reason not to run the emulator on s PC? Seems like folks here are using a raspberry.

don't make fun of me but what is "path"

I have my vista 20p panel set up to send x10 when motion is detected, works perfectly. Isy994IRpro programmed to notify via EMAIL when afore mentioned x-10 command is received, works perfectly. Problem is when someone is moving around I get hundred of e-mails, every 15 minutes or so would be plenty. I set the program to on x10 wait 15 min then notify and that works. I'm too lazy to do the math and want to know at time of occurrence. If I program notify and wait 15 I get hundreds of e-mails what am I doing wrong. I also tried notify, wait 15 then send X-10 off ( to a house code and address not used) that didn't work either, their must be a way.....

thank deleting and re-saving the custom e-mail sort of helped but now I get the same custom message twice

I couldn't find this answered after a search so here we go. I have my Isy994IR pro set up for email notifications with x-10 signal received. Works fine and I get the right message associated with the command followed by a second one a few minutes later. The event viewer shows this line Mon 11/25/2013 03:45:08 PM : [FileOpen ] Open failed for [/CONF/MAIL/1.NTC] ® the message received is: "subject:notify : x10 c3/on (3) - Alert notify x10 c3/on received at 2013/11/25 3:53:57 pm." this is accurate as the signal is c3/on but I only want the message that I typed in the custom message field sent to me. The desired custom message is sent but is followed by the second shown above. Not sure if that open failed has something to do with it or not so here I am to ask....
