The advantage of the ISY is integrating both Insteon and zwave. The keypad with labeled buttons is a big thing for us & wife approval factor. We use them daily and I've yet to see any equivalent in a zwave product. There are plenty of people using Insteon here. Neither technology is "wart free".  There is the danger of falling into the Mac vs Windows, Ford truck vs Chevy truck type of thing.

I don't use the load sensing feature of the Outletlincs and had forgot about it. It all makes perfect sense now.

That's normal operation if you have only LED Christmas lights on the circuit.  Plug in a small, 7 watt incandescent into the same circuit and everything will be fine.

That does indeed cause the lights to go out. The drawback is that the 7 watt bulb is ON when the LED lights are ON. :mad:

 

This issue is puzzling to me as I would have thought that the receptacle would be controlled by a simple relay which would have a positive OFF. Does anyone know what is really going on when the 2473 is in the OFF state?

 

Also does the newer 2663 exhibit the same effect?

I have several 2473 Outletlinc receptacles that seem to function fine. Two of them have LED Christmas light strings connected to them. They turn ON just fine. When they are turned OFF they seem to go off, but the LED lights still stay on, although very dim. It's as if there is a small leakage in the 2473's. Anyone else notice this behavior and is it normal. I'd really like them to turn 100% off.

 

I've asked this in the Elk sub-forum, but got no response, so I'll ask here.

 

I've got an Elk M1 and the ISY in my home with the Elk module installed. They work together flawlessly. I also have an Elk M1 in my rental house next door. That panel is connected to the same network my ISY is on. Is there a way to add the second Elk to communicate with the ISY?

To answer your question, yes, I had a PLM fail and the LED remained on. No amount of resetting would bring it back.

Did the capacitor replacement and it came to life again. Still working a year later. We'll see how long the fix lasts.

Thanks, Michel. I was using the Elk RP access code, (slapping self on the forehead) replaced that with my USER code and all is well.

 
Here's a snapshop of the event viewer after I clicked the disarm button. System didn't disarm.

Elk RP is not connected.

 

Access is not checked for the user (me).

Assume you have these modes available on the Elk?

Yes, I can arm/disarm from Elk mobile app, no problem.

I've got the Elk module and ISY 994i. The two integrate with each other great. The only issue is that I can't arm or disarm the Elk alarm from the ISY admin console. The console reflects the correct status of the Elk (ARMED or DISARMED) but the arm stay, arm away and disarm buttons do nothing. Everything else between the two systems works fine.

 

Ideas??

I overlooked the fact that the program stopped when the driveway sensors became secure.

This program turns on the 3 lights when a car enters or exits either driveway as it should, but the lights remain on and don't shut off after 5 minutes. What am I missing here?

I deleted the RemoteLink 2444 from the ISY and then added it back in as a new device. It brought all the buttons to life again. I did have to re-program the scenes they controlled, but that wasn't a huge chore.

Thanks for all the help, oberc. It's looking like my RemoteLink, or at least half of it, is dead.

By status, I mean what is displayed in the 'Current State' column. It's blank

There is nothing displayed in the event viewer when the dead buttons are pressed.

 

On another note, how can I paste a screen capture image to a post here?

I have removed and restored power and tried to restore the device through the admin console to no avail. The status for the buttons in question is blank, neither on nor off. When I press a buttton, the LED on the 2444 blinks either red or green once, but no status is shown in the admin console and the programs and scenes associated with those buttons don't activate.

I have lost the functionality of the C, D, F and H buttons on my 2444 remote. Those buttons no longer control their associated devices nor is their status shown in the admin console. The event viewer level 3 doesn't show any activity when the dead buttons are pressed. The other buttons function normally.

 

How do I get it back to how it was?
