Thanks for the tip. I went and looked at the occupancy page for the new eisy and it's empty (seems correct since I created the new geofence and mobile device entries in the new eisy occupancy 2 page). The two new entries that I verified are working for the new eisy are on the eisy "occupancy 2" page (also seems correct). So I checked the occupancy page for the old isy, and the geofence/mobile entries I want to delete are there (also correct). I also looked at the occupancy 2 page for the old isy and it's empty (and finally, also seems correct). So far looks like I expect, old geofence/mobile entries only on the old ISY Occupancy page, and new geofence/mobile entries on the new eisy Occupancy 2 page. I shouldn't care, I guess, but the old entries (no longer working/used) are in the new eisy along with the new, working entries. I assume they got put in there when I restored the last ISY backup into the eisy when I started it up. If I try to delete the mobile entry on the old isy occupancy page, I'm still getting the HTTP 401 Error. As I said above, the new eisy has both the old occupancy and new occupancy 2 entries. So everything looks "correct", but I can't delete the mobile and geofence entries from the old ISY Occupancy page in the portal. Since this looks like an authentication error, is there someway special I should login? Honestly, not a big deal. I can ignore the old entries in my new setup (eisy talking to HomeSeer), it's really just a nit, but nits bug me

I just upgraded from my old reliable isy-994 to an eisy - looks like it's working great. I added a new occupancy 2 geofence and mobile device for the eisy that I think is working. But I had an old geofence and mobile device in the isy that must have been restored when i put the isy backup into the eisy. Now I'm trying to remove the old entries, since it shows up in eisy and doesn't work anymore. I booted up the isy, bring up the GUI on the isy and login as admin, go to the portal, go into occupancy and the old geofence and mobile device are there. When I click the "X" to delete the mobile device, I get "HTTP 401 Error". I'be been having problems trying to set my userid and password in the eisy to the same as my isy (that's another post I have to make). I'm wondering if that could be the problem, or if i'm just missing something else. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Joe Stokes

I just noticed that the ISY locked up again after I put in a new cable and new PLM, so I came here to post a message and found your request for an email. I just sent the email.

Thanks, Lee. I unplugged the PLM and the ISY for a few minutes, then plugged back in the PLM, then the ISY. In the past, if I reset just the ISY it would recover and run for a few more days before locking up again. Maybe I'll order another PLM incase it happens again. I checked the cable and the connections and all looks ok. Thanks for your help.

Over the last few weeks I've found my ISY-994 PRO/IR hung with the power and Rx light stuck on. It appears totally non-responsive. No hardware changes in that time. I'm running 4.1.2 (the latest beta). Zwave board was added a few months ago and has been working ok (still some errors on the more distant lock - looking forward to 4.1.3 to fix that). Nothing I can pinpoint as to the cause. Are there any diagnostics I should run on it? Any hints or ideas? Thanks, Joe

Hi guys, I started out with all X10 a year ago, and spent a few months switched to all Insteon. For xmas, I had some old x10 lamp modules I used for the candle lights and xmas tree. I found the x10 lights on when I didn't expect them, but couldn't figure out why. Today, I went exploring to find it. I found one group consisting of 3 SwitchLinc's and the button of a KeyPadLinc that would turn them on and off. Since I barely remember setting an X10 code when I first got the Insteon switches, I went and deleted the X10 codes from each switch. It still happens. So I turned off all 4 switches (pulled out the set button), and, one at a time, turned on the switch, hit on and for every one of them, the x10 lights come on. There are no programs doing this, so I have to admit I'm lost. I did a trace by hitting one of the 4 switches, and you can see the X10 (J3) come on. I added the text at the end of a couple lines that says what light it is (easier than trying to follow the Insteon addresses). Anyone have a clue? I guess I could do a factory reset of all 4 switches and then reprogram them, but thought I'd ask first - maybe it's obvious Thanks, Joe Trace: Mon 02/03/2014 10:13:31 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 21.5B.99 00.00.01 C7 11 01 LTONRR (01) Mon 02/03/2014 10:13:31 AM : [std-Group ] 21.5B.99-->Group=1, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=1 Mon 02/03/2014 10:13:32 AM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 21.5B.99 00.00.01 CB 11 01 LTONRR (01) Mon 02/03/2014 10:13:32 AM : [std-Group ] 21.5B.99-->Group=1, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Mon 02/03/2014 10:13:32 AM : [iNST-DUP ] Previous message ignored. Hi guys, I searched and couldn't find an answer, so I thought I would post here. Sorry if this is already answered somewhere. I picked up the ISYEventViewer sample program and have been modifying it to gather more data. It already had nodes and scenes (using "GetNodesConfig"), and I added getting program data (using "GetAllD2D") so I can translate to a program name in the log. That's working great. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the list of all the variables and current values. I tried "GetVariable", but it doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks, Joe

Is there a way that I could have the visual basic program on the PC send variable updates to the ISY? Not as functional, but at least the ISY could know the status and use it in its programs.

Hi guys, I have a Concord 4 Alarm Panel with the Automation Module connected to the serial port of a PC and it's working great. I'm wondering if it's possible to plug it into the ISY-994 serial port and interface to it by writing some code using the SDK, of if the only way to access the serial port on the ISY is through system programs that the smart people at Universal Devices has to write (like through an add-on module). Right now I'm using X10 commands out of the Concord 4 to figure out the arming level of the panel and when doors and windows are open, but only nine X10 codes are used by the Panel so I'm pretty limited in what I can do. Connecting to the panel directly will give me access to a lot of information I can use to control the lights in my house. Thanks, Joe

Hi all, I built a couple programs that turn all my lights on or off by just doing a series of "Set Scene" commands. I have this setup to cycle back and forth so when my alarm system triggers (monitored by an IOLinc) my lights blink on and off. It's working great, except that the program seems to finish long before the lights are finished the 10 on/off cycles I have in the program. Does the program just queue up the request to set a scene on or off, and then continue running, because it doesn't seem to wait. Is there a way to have it wait, or should I just put a delay at the end of each group so it catches up? Also, I've been digging through the Forums and found a few really interesting tidbits about how programs work, but I can't find details on exactly how programs, triggers, etc. all work. Is there somewhere I should look. Thanks, Joe
