  1. I started a ticket and received this message from Michael Kohanim: "Hi Peter, it seems that your HTML body is larger than 998 characters. This used to work with older SMTP servers but most are rejecting it. Till we add support for multipart attachments, it's best to try and reduce it to 998 characters." So, I replaced the Default Server with a gmx smtp server and my largest email notification, which has a character count of over 13,00 including spaces, would not transmit. But another of my emails with about 1/2 the count of my largest, and much larger than 998 characters, did go with gmx. Hopefully that will not change. So it seems that the "Use Default SMTP server is very limited as Michael indicated. Thank you all for participating.
  2. What settings do you use for gmail. I tried smtp.gmail.com, port 587 using TLS but the Test delivers a Mail server error SMTP_ERRORS--1
  3. I changed from the default server to my outlook account and still have problems. Any email with HTML in the body, fails to send. I will try my gmail account to see if that works. Thank you for your suggestions. Oops - more testing and it seems eisy will not save my outlook settings. It reverts to Use default no matter how often I try to save it
  4. I changed from the default server to my outlook account and still have problems. Any email with HTML in the body, fails to send. I will try my gmail account to see if that works. Thank you for your suggestions
  5. More testing: I am able to send out emails from notifications using programs provided the content of the emails is short. the emails that are not going out are those with complex HTML structures or many lines. This suggests to me that the User Default setting uses an email system that limits the size of the emails.
  6. My programs no longer send notifications. They stopped on May 5th 2024 and I had made no changes to eisy before that time. I created and a test email program with no If conditions. I clicked Run Then and nothing happened. But under Settings/Groups SMTP Settings which are set to Use Default, when I click on my Name where recipients are listed, then Test, I do receive the Test email. So, for some reason, my programs can no longer send out notifications. I am running eisy 5226 Firmware IoX v5.8.3 UI IoX v5.8.3 Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
  7. A few days ago I migrated from my Polisy to my new eisy with amazing help from SUDI. But I am having problems with my purchased node servers of which I have 4: Elk, ST-SONOS, Flume and NOAA. All four node servers on PG3x indicate that they are connected to eisy, but only the Flume and NOA Weather are passing information to eisy. Elk and SONOS are not co-operating. My purchased node servers on PG3x are still associated only with Polisy, not with eisy. I could not figure out how to move them to eisy on the Portal. So, I tried purchasing another Elk node license for eisy - but that does not work. I get an error message. So, somehow, I have managed to get tangled up in the Portal and need help figuring out how to get Elk and ST-SONOS running properly on eisy. I am willing to buy additional licenses for eisy if that is what is needed at this point. But at this point the Portal will not let me. Attachments below.
  8. Not sure how to move this to eisy. I thought that is where I was from the link at the top of the page.
  9. Thank you. Sorry I posted in the wrong place.
  10. Is it possible to run both a Polisy and an Eisy on the same system connecting to the same devices at the same time? I am running about 50 Insteon devices, the Elk M1G, 8 IP cameras and 4 node servers - ST-Sonos, Elk, Flume and NOAA and a few Z-Wave devices. I am willing to buy additional licenses like node server licenses. But can the devices that have API's to support a node server, like the M1G, support two node servers at the same time under any circumstances; i.e. additional hardware for M1G?. Will Insteon devices tolerate commands from more than one source? How about Flume? As I own both Polisy and Eisy, how could I best take advantage of both? For example: While migrating from Polisy to eisy, we could run Polisy during the transition which sometimes takes time. With both running in parallel, we will have a redundant system so if one fails, the other could take over.
  11. Thank you Jimbo I added a new task to Elk,and restarted the Node server. Oddly, the new task did not show up in the list of nodes in the Polyglot, but it did show up in the Admin Console under Elk Controller. So, thank you for your help.
  12. When I installed my Elk Node Server initially to Polyglot in Polisy, there were two tasks defined in the ElkRP under Automation-Tasks. After the installation, these two tasks show in the Polisy Admin Console under the Elk Controller list and the list of nodes in Polyglot. So, yesterday, I added a third Task using ElkRP. However, this third task failed to appear in the list of Elk nodes in Polyglot. So, I tried restarting Polyglot, restarting Polisy and restarting the Elk Node Server. It never appeared. This evening it showed up after much fiddling about among the three players, Elk, Polyglot and Admin Console. I suspect that after such a change all 3 players have to be reset in some way and I just happened to get it right. So, my question is this: Does anyone have a procedure to follow so changes in the M1G are passed through the Elk Node Server to Polyglot?
  13. Thank you, MrBill. You solved it! It is working! URL that works is https://172.16.1.106:8443/rest/programs/000F/runThen. Motion detected by my AXIS camera is now passed to my Polisy and so Polisy can act on it.
  14. Thank you both for the feedback. I'll test your idea for the program link, MrBill. DennisC - I would like to use the motion sensor in the AXIS camera to trigger programs in Polisy. If I can get that simple step to work, then I will try sending camera footage automatically to my neighbors. We have a problem with people trying to break into cars at night during the summer. That, plus finding an outdoor motion sensor capable of handling temperatures from -14 F to 100F here in New England is proving difficult since Elk stopped selling theirs. Again, I very much appreciate your suggestions.
  15. I tried linking an AXIS P1447-LE camera’s motion event to a program running in Polisy. I did this by adding the following URL to a recipient, called Polisy, in the AXIS camera settings under Events. https://172.16.1.106:8443/rest/programs/<MotionDriveCam>/<runThen> Where MotionDriveCam is the name of the Polisy program I want to run. When I Test this Recipient from the AXIS camera, I get this error: Test: Something went wrong 500 Empty reply from server When I simply run the URL from a browser - to see what happens in Polisy, I get this error message : This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. <RestResponse succeeded="false"> <status>404</status> </RestResponse> I added the camera to Polisy Network Resources and it looks like this: GET / HTTP/1.1 Host: 172.16.1.37:80 User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 Connection: Close Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Content-Length: 0 I seem to be missing something so any direction will be very much appreciated.
