  1. Thanks all, this was all brand new at my parents house. I have everything working except the programs part. I can link devices, program them, even control them from admin console. With this information, could it still be a version difference or memory card not fully inserted? I will check a few things today but I think something else is a miss. Thanks!! Any other ideas or things to check please let me know.
  2. I am setting up my first program on a brand new ISY 994 pro device and am getting errors on every program that I attempt to write, regardless of how trivial the program is. I see under activity "not loaded" and under status "out of memory" which is not possible. I tried erasing the programs and writing from scratch with no luck. I have another ISY device and have never seen this issue before. I want to make sure I do not have a bad ISY device which was recently purchased. thanks, Kenny
  3. Thank you so much, you are correct! I didn't even think about that. One other question since you have been so helpful..... What does "responding" mean under the "status" setting. I thought it meant when light A was triggered (ie button pressed) to ON or OFF but I don't think that is the case. Also, what is the difference between "status" and "control" when writing a program. It seems that I really only ever use "status" on or off but I am sure I am missing out on capability. Thanks again for all of your help!
  4. So, I have had this issue for a while and I am hoping I am setting up the command wrong. When I execute a "then" statement which has multiple modify insteon commands only the first command seems to execute unless I call a whole other program to run. For instance, if I command in the then statement: wait 10 seconds turn off light A wait 10 seconds turn on light A Only the first turn off command will be executed and it seems like the last two (wait and turn light on) do not run as part of the 'then' statement. Does anyone know why this is happening or seen it happen on their system? It has always bothered me something this simple fails. thank you!
  5. thanks Jon, how do I "restore device" once I have deleted it from my ISY network? I am not having problems trying to link the switchlinc back into my ISY network. Any suggestions of why its not working or how to factory reset from the actual switchlinc device? thanks! now having problems, not "not" in the above post. Sorry about that.
  6. Hi, so I recently installed a new insteon dimmer switch and I am having a strange issue. The new dimmer switch seems to activate an insteon outlet switch I have had installed for years (and vice versa). If I push on/off the dimmer it turns on/off the the power to the outlet. Initially this happened every time. I successfully added the new dimmer switch to my ISY network thinking this may fix the issue. I was wrong. It modified the behavier, as now the issue doesnt happen every time. To make a very long story shorter, I wanted to delete the outlet switch from the ISY netowrk and re-link again. However, now that I have deleted it fromt he ISY network, when i start the linking process on my ISY and then push/hold the button on the insteon switch I see a steady blinking on the device but it is not picked up by the ISY as usual. How do I re-link the old device which was deleted from the ISY memory? Also, anyone have a clue why these two insteon devices are not playing well together. One last thing I should add, i am able to control each device properly through the ISY console, but when either of the insteon devices are operated at the respective device I see the issue previously mentioned. thanks a lot in advance! Kenny B
