  1. Yes, I guess that would work. I try to minimize the number of connections. I will probably move the Eisy closer to the PLM to work with the cable, then just use the RJ-45 cable that used to run from the old PLM to the ISY. Terry
  2. Well, it seems to me that that's a particularly unfortunate design choice. What possible reason is there for using a non-standard wiring configuration for what seemed to be a standard console cable RJ-45 to USB connectors? Bummer for sure. Thanks for the help. My system is working OK with the cable purchased from UD with the Eisy, but it's shorter than I would have liked, but i can reroute the Ethernet cable to put the Eisy closer to the PLM.
  3. Thank you for the link. I had looked for this information but didn't find it. My system is restoring now, writing updates to devices. I got another email suggestion about the cable used between the PLM and Eisy, and I switched to the cable purchased with the EISY and that seems to make the difference. I thought it was a standard console cable (RJ-45 to USB) because I bought a slightly longer one on Amazon than the one I got with the Eisy, and that one was being used when I had the earlier issue.
  4. I am trying to replace my PLM with a new one. I turned off eisy (I have a current backup), connected the new PLM, and plugged it into the outlet replacing the old/current PLM. I rebooted eisy and logged into the Admin Console. When I select "Restore PLM", I get the following error: I am not sure what to do/try next Terry
  5. Michel, that did it, many thanks. Did I miss this point in the documentation? It might well be there and I just didn't pay close enough attention. Regards, Terry
  6. I've verified that I can send a test message, either txt to my cell phone or an email message, from the Configuration tab in the admin console, however, I'm not getting notifications sent from a program. Here's a simple program but I don't receive the notification. Even if I try "Run Then", I don't get the notification. What am I missing? I've tried this with the default settings and also with the settings for my ISP (Time Warner Road Runner). If $s.Motion is 1 Then Send Notification to 'Terry TXT' content 'Motion On' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Regards, Terry
  7. I've just run this test (single Access Point and PLM) and the LED on the PLM is blinking 4-9 times Red and then once Green and that repeats. Does that mean it's barely in RF range? My PLM is installed behind a couple of metal file cabinets on one outside wall of our ranch home,so I guess that doesn't help the RF coverage. I have to install another outlet that is more "out in the open" perhaps.
  8. I am glad to find this tip, but am more than a little disappointed that the wireless thermostat does not provide a method to log or output the remote (external) temperature. That seems like a serious limitation, which was not at all obvious on the product sheet (at least to me when I looked at it before purchasing it).
