    lost console

Thanks Teken. With my heart in my throat I downloaded the 4.4.6 console and was able to run the 4.5.4 update, then downloaded the 4.5.4 consol. Gotta love this forum. Thanks again. Al

ooops I went to upgrade to 4.5.4 and deleted my java cache, Now can't into the console. Where do I go from here. thanks, Al
  3. Found it! TLS 1.0 is the default. Mobilinc is working again in IOS 9.
  4. Does 4.2.30 set TLS 1.0 automatically, or do I have to select it. I went to network setting in configuration, but cannot find a place to change my security setting? Al
  5. Thanks Paul. It worked like a charm. Al
  6. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give that a shot. Al
  7. I use Mobilinc with my Iphone and need to go to to 4.2.30 so I can upgrade my network security. Knowing just enough to be dangerous, and wanting to have a good install, I decided to clear my Java cache. You guessed it. I blew away my ISY desktop icon. Where do I go from here? Any help would be appreciated. Al

    Flood light success

Hi Brian, I'm not going to use x10 signaling. I'll install an Insteon micro on/off switch on the line. I'll control power with a program in the ISY. My wife works nights, so I'll power up the lights sensor an hour before she is due home. That way I don't light up the neighborhood every time a car drives by the house. Al

    Flood light success

    Thanks for the advice. Al
  10. What flood lights are folks having success with? The more I reed about my old PR511, the less comfortable I feel about installing it and linking to my ISY. Too many false reads from the motion sensor. From what I've read, I'll keep away from dual bright. Is halogen acceptable? Thanks, Al
  11. They sense that it is dead and are sending a replacement. thanks for the replies. Al
  12. It's a 60wt incandescent bulb. I've plugged a dual band on/off module beside the switch, which I've air gapped again. I've attempted a restore from the ISY. The switchlinc still displays a red exclamation mark beside it, and I still don't have any leds on the left side of the switch. Al
  13. Came home today, and my wife said she couldn't turn off the light (incandescent). Sure enough the switchlinc's led was to the top and the load light was full on. Pressing the on/off paddle did nothing. My ISYs icon displayed 1011 no commo. I air gapped the switch. The ISY now displays a red exclamation mark beside the switch. The switch now functions as a mechanical switch, in that it turns on and off, however the leds on the side of the switch do not display at all. They do not run up and down the switch to indicate light level. If I press the linking button I do get a green and one white led to display, but the ISY still cannot find the switch. This is my second 2474 that has lasted about a month. Is it dead, or can I get it linked to my ISY? Thanks, Al

    Lost console

Thanks Adam. That was quick and easy. I couldn't tell you how long I was trying to find a fix in the wiki this morning. Al

    Lost console

The last time I logged into my console I received a dialog box that said my shortcut was ........... Behind this I saw my login screen, so I acknowledged the dialog box, logged in and did what I needed to do. Today my desk top shortcut is missing. How can I recover my console? Can't seem to find anything in the wiki. Win 7 ISY994 Thanks, Al
  16. I didn't want a switch. I would control the module with my ISY. I do have a recepticle on the second floor that is in a built in cabinet. I could run a jumper from the recepticle to a junction box, and wire the on/off module from there. By the way, it's the below 32 degrees that concerned me. Above 104 I could put a mini fan in the floodlight housing to keep the module cool. (only kidding) Thanks, Al
  17. I was planning to use this module in an outdoor floodlight, however I live in the Boston area. The specs list the operating temperature from 32 to 104 farenheit. What do I do in the winter, or on a hot August night? Has anyone had success in a cold or hot enviorment? If installed, what should my expectation be? Thanks, Al

    testing line/load

The load is incadecent. Thanks Brian.

    testing line/load

It is a switch loop. I found that out a while ago when I bought a togglelinc and found out I didn't have an extra neutral. Now that Insteon has a 2 wire dimmer I thought I'd give it another try to control my x10 controlled kitchen light. Thanks all for the response, Al

    testing line/load

I do have a meter, but how do I test in a switch loop, when only the line is broken at the switch? Or does it matter when installing a 2-wire switchlinc (2474DWH). Thanks, Al
  21. Thanks Xathros, I do have a few dusk/dawn programs running that give me light when I get home. I was just trying to set up a scene to give me a few more lights. Al
  22. Thanks Lee. I may have to move an Insteon device upstairs. Al
  23. Is it possible to incorpoate an x10 device in an Insteon scene? My thought was perhaps as a responder to an Insteon device that was activated within a scene. If so, would this action be restricted to only the scene, or would the linc continue to work when I addressed the Insteon device other than in the scene? I was creating a coming home scene, but my Insteon devices are in the man cave in the basement, and most of the x10 devices are on the first floor. Thanks, Al

    where do I start?

Yes, I was able to make changes in the config tab. i did take the check mark off DHCP, and entered the subnet mask, DNS, gateway, etc. Low and behold when I sat in my car on a 3G phone network I was able to turn on a few lights without any issues. Another success story. Thanks Oberkc, and LeeG for your help. Al

    where do I start?

Can't seem to paste my screen shot onto this message, but help/about displays a dialog box that won't allow any manual entries. It displays My URL, and internet access IPs without :xxxx(port numbers). The wife has a few missions for me to accomplish, so I'll be off for now. Al
