  1. So the "module" was nothing more than flipping a switch with some code for $50: nobody? Ha. I remember sending boxes of brown X-10 modules to BSR in New Jersey and getting a few new ones in a swap. Kinda warm and fuzzy. The engineers at Digital in Mass who made the Enerlogic were amazing but quit quickly. I have an ocelot somewhere, I have one of those big *** expensive panels somewhere. I visited Smart Home in Irvine many times and always came away with a creepy feeling about the company and was not surprised when they flipped the switch on insteon users. I have always hated everything RF because of the stupid FCC 10 milliwatt limit. I met with people at FCC in Washington in the 1970s and realized why the lazy people did it so low. That level shifted complaints from FCC to manufacturers. 50mw and the stuff would have worked. I liked that insteon was powerline and RF. So had someone directed me to somewhere in UD land where I was offered a way to set up X10 in the replacement ISY for temporary I would be inclined to research and buy one of the new polygamy devices and take life easy. Sensing the grifter vibe I am off to waste a few thousand hours on an HA system. So I had a Belgian waffle and then watched the GE carousel of progress in NY. Later my next door neighbor described a system that would send a signal to a light to turn it on and off. I had just figured out circuits and thought he was crazy. The tenth LSI was made in Scottland about twelve years later. Those were some bright people who made that. If they only knew that the future was just around the corner.....well, a very long and convoluted corner..-30-
  2. I bought another ISY 994I to see if it was the 994i IR pro that was causing me some issues after years of perfection. The new one has Zwave. It is 4.6.2 firmware. any chance of getting 5.3.4 and buying another X-10 module?
  3. I am experimenting with Volumio and MoOde on Raspberry Pi and am delighted that the UI screens are so easily and quickly available from anything on my network. Sometimes it is as easy as volumio.local. I see default UI for ISY is UDAjax and there is HAD as an alternative built in. Is there an easy way to have no login with the AjaxUI? I realize I could change some lines of code in the default UI but "the sun is shining and the grass is green...."
