  1. Thx, but too late. I already repaired it with a cap replacement. Appears to work, but I'll just keep it as a spare....
  2. Thanks, all, for your help. Replaced PLM as other died after 2 years 2 months. Was able to restore system (after following procedures listed here in the Forum) by rebooting ISY and restoring each device individually. Took awhile, but all is well now. Michel - did a "Restore Modem", and after 2+ hours rebooted ISY, and did a restore on each device. No communication errors that I am aware of. Maybe I was impatient, but in spite of my blundering the system is now operational. Now I'll tackle the capacitor replacement on the old PLM, for a spare......thanks again!
  3. All right - guess I'll post again tomorrow. Didn't know the amount of time involved - if it were days, or weeks, or whatever for a "Restore". And I'm not trying to be sarcastic, I truly appreciate the help. Probably my weak understanding of the procedure, but I am trying to follow everyone else's triumphs and tragedies.
  4. Ok, let me get on this merry go round..... Just replaced my PLM and repowered the ISY and it has been about 30 minutes of "busy" (red flag - lower left). I had already configured the battery devices for a future "manual write". How long can I anticipate a wait, or should I start some other action here to regain my automation?

    Status in Log

All of a sudden I have noticed many many status updates on several units in the Log. Most are related to a motion sensor at a time when no motion should be detected. Also several X10 messages are sent when not requested. My PLM is at that magical two-year life span. Should I just go ahead and change the capacitors, which I have on hand, at this time? Or do I have some other problem? Everything else is working smoothly, with no phantom activations.

    Backup

Please disregard the above - eliminated a "Network Resource" that was creating the problem. All is well now.

    Backup

Just tried a backup and procedure won't proceed past about 51%. I get the following messages "Could not create the Zip File", and "Could not retrieve File /CONF/NET/1.RES". Destination is a flash drive, but the same hapens with any other destination. I have made many backups and never had this happen. Does any one have a clue what my problem might be? Thanks.
  8. I use Mobilinc. Use only Insteon devices for the most part. Very few X10, no z-wave. I like Mobilinc. Some of my notifications are a bit late at times, but that's a fault of my cell phone coverage promarily, I think.
  9. Having trouble getting this one to work with my ISY. I believe the sensor might not be operating correctly. I turned the potentiometer dial all the way to the right and set at approximately 40 degrees F. to turn on a space heater. However, on placing the sensor in the freezer (for a quick test) the sensor is not triggered and the On/Off module is not turning on per the programmed ISY. Noticed that on "Query" (under "Options" , "Device Options" on the ISY) that the "Trigger Reverse" is checked. Could that have something to do with the fact the On/Off module is not being turned on? Forgot to mention that I am using this with an I/O unit....
  10. I use the MINOTAUR ENGINEERING IFD1 PRECISION FREEZE DETECTOR as sold here at SmartHome. Assume it's working, as I have had no alarms. Routed the sensor wire through the drain line in bottom of freezer, as routing out side of door prevented a good door seal. Did get warning (program) when I defrosted the freezer.

    Smoke Bridge Nodes

At this point very little. A program for lights, attic fan, and notifications, and that is about it.

    Smoke Bridge Nodes

Thanks to all for your help. I rarely have a problem, but this one totally confused me.....appreciate it!

    Smoke Bridge Nodes

CO - Off Clear - <Blank> Low Bat - Off Malfunction - Off Smoke - Off Test - Off Unknown Message - Off This is now the current state of the nodes (after tapping the Smoke Bridge button) - had to query two to go from "On" to an "Off", and query another to go from a <blank> to "Off". Does THIS look appropriate? I did unplug the PLM/ISY as suggested before I reinstalled the Smoke Bridge and paired it with the Smoke Detectors. I could post the Event Log, but it is somewhat lengthy.

    Smoke Bridge Nodes

I now only have the Test node functional - indicating "On" after the test. All other nodes blank.
