  1. Paul, I have spent days trying to get the jnlp file without success. All your help has been appreciated. I have decided to purchase an eisy and seek UDIs help in setting it up. My big conern is losing my existing data. Spokens, programs and all devices are working. I just can"t open the admin console. Do you feel I am choosing the right patht?
  2. I used the Quick Start Guides installing the Admin Console Icon on Your Desktop I opened the downloaded Java file and got a warning window. I bypassed the warning as instructed and got a window named ISY Finder: Not Found which included IP’s of both my ISYs-Away and Local. When I selected the local IP for where I am, Chesapeake, I got a window that said SocketTime out Exception. It suddenly dawned on me that I had failed to tell you I will be moving everything to a MacBook Air M3 2024 at some time in the near future. Should I be basically starting over on that machine? Told you I was old!
  3. Paul, I cleared the cache and clicked on the URL. I get a blank page which I cannot close. I have to delete the page to exit it. I am not averse to changing to the eisy but I am in my 80s and will need some serious hand holding in the form of somwne remoting in. Also, currently no eisys are in stock. By the way, I am no newbie I have been a member of this forum for a long, long time. I made a mistake signing in this time. I don't want to leave. Our technology has become more important than ever. Thanks.
  4. My portal still works but following a major problem I cannot access the admin console. I apparently need a new start.jnlp file for my isy994. I can't find one. I will gladly upgrade to the eisy but it is out of stock and I will need a lot of help. I am in my 80s.
  5. Further research shows the only light displaying on my isy is the power light. A chech of the of the power supply showed a broken housing. Anyone know where I can get a replacement, including the cable and plug and what I need to ask for. Quick delivery such as Amazon would enable me to get the repair done while we are at tthis location. Thanks.
  6. I tried that and got a blank page. Mac Yes, I have emptied the cache several times. Proce3dure to reboot ISY?
  7. Sorry, but I am essentially computer illiterate at 80+ years of age. One would think this would be an easy fix. I tried to research the subject of accessing my router and found two addresses that were supposed to permit me to access my bundled router but no soap. I hate to consider abandoning this site but weeks of work have produced almost nothing.
  8. I went back to a forkmer post by Mercier. downloaded Chrome. then went to System Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Network. There I did not find Google Chrome or loX Launcher to select as in the example.
  9. In August of this year I had an apparent power surge that took out my modem, router and the Insteon Serial Modem (2413S). This is a vacation home. I have replaced the modem and router provided by Optimum, my ISP. I have now installed a new 2413S. The alias for this location and its UUID appear in the Launcher but clicking on the URL results in the message loX Finder : Not Found. Neither the URL or the UUID appear for the primary residence, Chesapeake. According to the instructions I have, my next step for Wolf Creek is to log into the Admin Console and select the option to Restore Modem. That is where I am now. I cannot log into the Admin Console because I have no URL Help will be appreciated otherwise I am ging to have to abandon Wolf Creek. I must leave this location in a few days. I have spent days and days on this and problems at Chesapeake. I consider your expert help vital. Thanks. Mac Sequoia All Insteon Devices Firmware 4.9

Massive Problems I have two residences: Chesapeake (primary) and Wolf Creek (vacation) The ISYs at both ran well until a power outage at Wolf Creek and a loss of the internet (Optimum) lasted several days. Thereafter, neither the Chesapeake nor Wolf Creek URLs appeared in the Launcher. I visited Wolf Creek and Optimum replaced the router and modem. The ISY there displayed only the solid blue power light. I tried plugging and unplugging it to the modem/router and turning its power on and off. I then tried turning on/off the power to the PLM. Finally, I tried resetting the PLM and it never buzzed. I got a white light on its side, but I was left concluding it too was dead. I am currently trying to get a new one from Insteon (mid October availability). I was able to get my Wyze cameras and Amazon hubs running again at Wolf Creek but the ISY can only be controlled at the switch level and is inaccessible using the Launcher. What is bizarre about all this is that when I returned to Chesapeake I could only control at the switch level. These two locations are on separate ISY’s and PLMs. I was able to successfully reset the Chesapeake PLM (it buzzed) and Alexa spokens are working (made the wife happy) but some programs are running and others are not with no apparent reason. In the Launcher, I currently get a URL and UUID and URL for Wolf Creek. Nothing displays for Chesapeake. I can only access Wolf Creek in the Launcher by pasting in a saved IP and password. I am beginning to believe something is wrong with the Launcher that is indicative of a serious communications issue/core problem. I am 80 years old and this is “out of my league”. I desperately need your help. MacBook Pro Sequoia Cache Emptied Chesapeake Internet (Cox)
  11. I have two networks, Chesapeake and Wolf Creek. Recently, the modem and router failed simultaneously at Wolf Creek. They have since been replaced with a new modem/router combination (Optimum). My ISY 994i at Wolf Creek is no longer is accessible in the Launcher. I have rebooted the Alexa Hubs and they are displaying the infamous spinning yellow ring. I have empti3ed the JAVA cache. The ISY URL does not work. I am 80 years old and this stuff has become very challenging. I desperately need patient, knowledgeable help in getting my ISY online in the new network. I will need further help, but first things first. Thanks.
  12. I have been a UDI champion and an Insteon champion for many years. I have two ISY 994 based homes and they have functioned near flawlessly. I have no need for change! Plus, I am near 80 years old and change is becoming more difficult. I feel I am being pushed where I do not want to go. If its money, charge me for support but please do not strand me.
  13. Thank you sir.
  14. Geddy, forgive me for not replying until now. I agree with you that I most likely have a profile issue with Alexa, and I don't know how to resolve it. What would happen if deleted the Alexa app from my Mac and downloaded a new one? Would that new app reload correctly from the portal/ or should I invest in a call to Alexa? Or, finally, should I submit a ticket even though I have two ISYs using the rationale that the Portal has failed.
