  1. Hi Guys, I've searched the forums for anything like this, but I can't seem to find it. What I currently have set up is a 8-button KPL with a large (2 buttons) ALL ON button in the C and D spot and a large ALL OFF button in the E and F spot. I created a single scene that has a bunch of different responders (from another KPL and other switches) and 5 controllers (C, D, E, F and a SLD that acts as an all-on all-off as well). I set C and D to non-toggle on and E and F to non-toggle off. When selecting the controllers (C, D, E, F or SLD) in the scene tree I set all other secondary buttons to be on or off depending on which button was pressed (e.g., select C from the tree, on the right set the sliders for D, E, F to 0% and others in the scene to 100% as necessary - same for D; for E and F set all to 0%). The behavior I expect: - When pressing either C or D, the "half" of the big button that was pressed would blink a couple of times and turn everything on - When pressing either E or F, the "half" of the big button that was pressed would blink a couple of times and turn everything off - Pressing on on the SLD would light everything up leaving the ALL ON and ALL OFF buttons off completely The behavior I see: - When pressing either C or D, the "half" of the big button that was pressed turns everything on correctly but leaves the button that was pressed in the on state - When pressing either E or F, the "half" of the big button that was pressed turns everything off correctly but leaves the button that was pressed in the on state - Pressing on on the SLD does light everything up leaving the ALL ON and ALL OFF buttons off completely (works correctly) When I look at the Button Grouping setup for the KPL it says that C, D, E, and F have been set up as mutally exclusive, which would explain the behavior I'm seeing. However, I thought that to make such a setup one used multiple scenes with one controller in each and the rest as responders (with the responders set to 0%). My question would then be how do I keep the back lights on C, D, E and F off all the time and just have them blink a few times when pressed? Would I get this behavior if I changed the KPL to a 6-button type with the ALL ON and ALL OFF at the top and bottom, respectively? I have a 994i. Thanks. - Bryce
  2. Lee, Thanks for the quick reply. I'll try that tonight. This stuff sure is a little confusing sometimes. If I get it working, I'll try to post a screen shot for anybody else who might need it. I searched pretty extensively on the forum and couldn't find this exact scenario. Thanks again. - Bryce
  3. I wanted to write a program to adjust the on level of the bedroom light for after my wife goes to bed (she's a teacher and gets up ridiculously early). The idea was to have a really slow ramp rate after say 9:50 and an on level of just 5% to allow me to get to bed without banging myself up and (hopefully) not disturb her. I ran into issues where in multiple posts people talk about adjusting the on level in a scene by selecting the device in both the "In Scene" and "Set" boxes. It makes sense to adjust the responder but I couldn't get the Local On Levels to change, only the scene settings whenever the program would run. I couldn't understand what people were talking about selecting the device in both boxes. Well, it turns out I was trying to do this with a fanlinc. The setup I have is a KPL with nothing connected to its load controlling a fanlinc. Apparently, the KPL button can be selected in both boxes, but the fanlinc cannot. This means that there is no way for me to adjust the local on levels of the fanlinc light that I know of. Is this a bug with my ISY-994i or a limitation in the fanlinc itself, because that would suck. Has anyone else come across this phenomenon? I'm running 4.1.0 right now, fanlinc is v.41 and (not that it matters but) KPL is 8 button v.43. Thanks for any advice you guys can give me. - Bryce
